I think you can have been pro Ardley without being anti Burchnall. He's turned things right round, basically since Ross was sacked. Can't see it being anything other than a rousing welcome for him to be honest.
We should get the win against Weymouth which would make Bromley away a lot less of a worry next week.

I’m pro both to be honest. Ardley did a fantastic job last season in really difficult circumstances, but was an awkward fit for the structure/direction we’re heading in. Burchnall is a much better fit for that and has us playing some great stuff.

Best team we’ve played were probably Pools at their place agreed, or maybe Halifax at ours. We’re in a tough place to judge though because we’ve tended to perform better against the teams near the top ourselves, so maybe haven’t seen the best of them.

We’re playing brilliantly but now play offs has realistically gone and Chesterfield having something to play for in front crowd I’ll think we will get beat.

Well, it’s last chance saloon for us now. Poor form, injuries and negative tactics have made it that realistically, we have to win our last 2 games to stand any chance. Even then I think we would need a favour or two.

Do I think we will do it? No, is my honest answer. Haven’t seen enough in recent weeks especially with Earing missing to suggest we are capable of two wins on the bounce. Just living in hope at this point.
Pathetic. :ffs:

Oh I agree, I was only referring to a very small group of people, this week for example someone posted on Facebook that if we do go up the praise will all be due to Ardley for leaving us in a ‘decent position’! Another said the Wrexham win ‘still didn’t make up for being 3rd with 3 games in hand over everyone and knocked out the cup by a pub team’, which was just plain weird minutes after our best victory of the season, as well as being completely factually wrong. I think these people are in a tiny minority now though, there are currently an awful lot of ‘eating humble pie’ posts about.

Anyway, on to the game, no idea why I am nervous, if we play anything like we have lately we should have too much for Weymouth. Always the ‘Chessie v Wealdstone’ factor though, isn’t there.

As you say, anything to avoid a knee trembler at Bromley on the last day! We might even be able to rest a couple if we can secure our PO berth tomorrow, although we will definitely want 5th place.

I'm looking forward to getting back in the ground but going with very limited expectations.

Both sides need to win so it should make it a half decent game. We're down to the bare bones at the back with about 4 of our centre halves out, and obviously still no Asante or Denton

Don’t expect Shots to put one over on Bromley tomorrow. The visitors are sure to be up for it, and should be too much for an uninspired home team, going through the motions. Might as well plump for another 1-3.
Last home game. Glad it’s nearly all over.

The pre-game buzz is FINALLY back after 14 long months...

Not a clue how we’re going to perform as the injuries have de-railed us massively but the fact fans are back in will hopefully get us over the line today! Going for a 2-1 CFC win, Rowe thunderbolt in the 88th minute to take the 3 points!! (Dreamland)

Cleeve is paying his players one-off bonuses if they beat us today. Tragic stuff.

Also ridiculous that we're losing 1-0. We should be 3 up after 20 minutes. Laughable.

Two great direct freekick goals already, one from Kings Lynn and another one for the Jordan Davies showreel

2-1. We are apparently absolutely all over them.

The comeback is on and the title is Sutton’s!

Well, a goal up and a man advantage at half time against Maidenhead. It would be typical Halifax Town to bottle this game now.

All over them is over egging it a bit but you certainly look handy up front, different prospect from when we played at yours. Just need to win this not worry about the margin. Don't think it's a given that Sutton will beat you if you play like this, especially in front of your own fans
