As you're starting to find out, this is a tough league. Play all the nice football you want, but if you don't take your chances you'll get punished a lot more then in non-league. Plus there's the transfer window, which you wont be used too. Being down to the bare bones already is pretty naive.

Always difficult for ex-non leaguers like yourselves to adjust. I'd imagine you'll be delighted to get to 50 points as quickly as you can?
Tranmere's discipline could ultimately be what costs them in their bid for survival if they don't quickly sort it out. Can't get away with getting a load of red cards at this level, teams will punish you.

This guy.

You've seen your club play one season at this level, in your entire history. Tranmere Rovers have done a century at this level, up to the second tier of English football. Don't need to tell us what we need to be doing and what's required at this level.

No doubt we'll finish ahead of your pathetic little pub team.

Mansfield at home will be tough, but we've lost only one game at home in the league in 2017.

Scored in 29 consecutive games.

Mansfield should be dreading their trip, not vice versa.

Probably because you were playing against teams equivalent to Forest Green. Comparing your home record and scoring record in the national league is pretty stupid to comparing it to league level.

Try telling that to a Bristol Rovers fan. I'm confident in my team.

Who's taking up the iFollow UK offer to stream their game live tonight then?

We're playing Exeter, and oddly enough I haven't got anything to say so I thought I'd leave this lovely ditty here instead.

Ps - I so want to meet 'shit eyes'!

I also couldn't think of a lot to say as I'm up to my eyes with sorting final bits of our big adventure in the wilds of Bolivia (in the footsteps of Butch and Sundance?).

Final game for a few weeks and I've changed my avatar in celebration of our first target - the Blue-throated Macaw.

As for tonight - I think that Joe/we have got fed up with conceding but hope to see us defending by attacking, with Amoo proving some width and Azeez alongside Jabo in the starting line up.

I'd take a draw and a few goals but hoping for a rip roaring win under the lights 2-1.

We're better than this mate, don't respond. Clearly a WUM.

Not for a tenner and no commentary this early in the season. If it were more crucial a match I probably would.

I think you'll find Chris made both posts with tongue in cheek.
He was having fun at FGR, more so than at Tranmere.
Chris well knows of Tranmere's proud league history and is biggin up FGR's one year in league.
Lighten up, it was a joke.

BTW FGR have never been a pub team. The club was established in 1889 by Reverend E.J.H. Peach. There is no pub anywhere in Forest Green.

And also FGR have been declared one of this seasons dark horses by quite a few football pundits. I fully expect FGR to finish season in a good position and above some better supported teams such as Tranmere.

It's really one of life's great unsolved mysteries. I'm talking about Chris's not so subtle trolling still reeling in poor innocent little fishies

I do actually find it funny tbh, esp.when he's dishing out advice to fans that have watched 4th div footy all their lives.

Flitcroft has dropped our first choice GK Conrad Logan after the howler against Colchester.

Matt Preston is still out due to a concussion unfortunately and Davies is back in upfront alongside Tyler Walker.

No change in our powder puff midfield and Newport have an extra man in there.
If we play like Friday we will be wide open. Nolan will get slaughtered if we lose easily and to be frank it will be hard to defend him.
Tempted to pay the tenner to watch.

Had a bad feeling about tonight, and so it's proving, 2 down after 8 mins. I'd be happy if we don't have our +5 goal difference wiped out.

Relegation fodder Grimsby Town out playing yet another league favourite and going 1-0 up courtesy of Jordan Cook.

Fairly even first half at Tranmere.

Tranmere started better but Mansfield have just got more and more of the ball as the half went on - although have not done much with it. Norwood looks pretty dangerous.

McNulty got away fouling in Davies in the box, the referee decided that Davies fouled him first, it looked really soft.

We gave Exeter two gift wrapped goals inside the first 15 mins. I know they're a decent side but I think I'll reserve judgement on their promotion chances another day.

Apparently two footed lunges aren’t reds if you play for Mansfield. Even game chance wise but Mansfield with more of the possession, especially last 15 mins of half.

Both teams have had chances but we’ve just been better. Like Lincoln, MK are dangerous against us on the counterattack so I’d say that we just have to try and hold out.

I’m at work just going off Twitter updates and Sounds like we’re well worth our lead and should be more ahead.

We've looked good going forward and probably been the better team overall, but two absolute gifts again defensively, and if you do that with the consistency we have been doing it recently you deserve to lose. Exeter a very tidy side though.
