Another two teams battling for the P/O places and both had good wins last time out. Millwall easily beat Coventry and Southend beat 2nd place Scunthorpe and are in great form at the moment.

Match chat in here.

Going to be a good game this one. Looking forward to the day also Millwall away is always decent, boozing at Borough Market beforehand shame the weather is going to turn absolutely freezing for the weekend. No need to change anything for us same team as Scunthorpe, same tactics too - play the same and we will win.

That old 'you'll only win if we don't play to our potential' chestnut.

Pretty fair assessment too considering we've only lost once since October and that one time we changed our formation.

Well, we beat you in November. I guess you didn't play to your potential. Or something.

You are a know-nothing, though.
Sure if I went down all your posts I could find something you got wrong too. Quite enjoying being wrong though this time :obama:

Winning without playing to our potential, against a playoff rival. Very sweet.

Dominated possession for the whole game but didn't really create much after going down to ten men in the first half. The red looked a little harsh to me and looks like we had a good shout for a penalty on McGlashan but other than that no complaints.

The red card sweet relief given the team-sheet. Losing your midfield partnership and your top scorer doesn't usually bode well, but it sounds like we put in a shift.

11 men won the game against a questionable red card and we got denied a stone wall pen. We put a great shift in with less players and arguably look like the most likely team to score at the end.

First 20 minutes was a cracking game of football, both teams on the front foot and some really good stuff being played by both. Cox looked dangerous, as did Morison and Fred for us. Thought the red card (which was a red) probably damaged the game as Southend changed their approach their approach and the game bogged down a bit. Was quite enjoying the gung-ho nature of the start, but after the red card they clearly realised that if both teams spent 70 minutes chasing the ball then the extra man would tell, so they started playing a bit safer.

The penalty on McGlashan looked a good shout from where I was, but Cox's histrionics throughout probably didn't help their cause in that particular incident. In the end we deserved the 3 points, which as others have said, after losing both midfielders and top striker is a promising sign.

I might be in a tiny minority, but I actually quite like Phil Brown. Doesn't take himself too seriously.

A dive, was on his way down before he cut across the defender. Almost a carbon copy of trying to engineer contact in the box that Cox tried in the first half. Almost like they practice it. The foul on Webster at the end of the first half was a more of a case for a penalty

Ironic that last season all the Southend fans were berating McGlashan for diving throughout the game with us, yet now he's one of theirs it's of course a stonewall penalty.

I haven't seen the incident by the way, just an observation.

It is weird that supporters always want the best for their side.

I think you might've missed the point on this one.

I haven't missed your point whatsoever and though I agree it is ironic but it's pretty much what would happen over any player for any club. A player goes down easily against you he's a diver or he goes down easily for you and you want a foul it's not just Southend fans exactly is it

But when the opposition do it 3 times in a game its a culture of cheating. Cox, Robinson and McGlashan

We can only strive to be as sanctimonious as the greatest upholders of morals: Millwall FC.

Tony Craig showed us all how to live a good life on the football field with his agonising injury which healed as soon as the red card came out. The shining beacon of good, honest behaviour that Millwall always display.
