He did surprise me there. Strange bloke is Robinson, don't really know what to make of him

Haven't seen the replay myself, but just seen a picture of the save by Bristol's defender in the area.

Have you got a still of the assault on Smith? No? Thought not.
You were marginally the better side in the first half, we bossed the 2nd.
Draw was probably just about fair, we could have won it, you never looked like scoring, we move on! End of.

I was at that game and that is the most biased assessment I have ever read of a game :fl: we should have been out of sight at half time and gifted you a goal to get back into it you then had lots of breakaway chances as we were trying to get an equalizer which we should have had if Williams had not taken the ball off of Stephens foot. Cant wait for Good Friday lets see how good you are then/.

I am still sticking with my prediction at the end of October City and Swindon top 2 I am not precious and don't care which way around.

Partly right, first half was as described. Incorrect on 2nd half, that was one way traffic.

Any assault on Smith could be balanced with vice versa attacks on KM or AK. Thought we handled him well yesterday.

Not sure we never looked like scoring, Thought the Alli shot was in.

The commentators thought it was in too. Based by the commentary both teams sounded threatening, proper end to end at some stages. Seen the hand ball, and any goalkeeper would of been pleased with that save to be fair, blatant as you will get.

Don't worry about that swindon fan, he hasn't been able to accept criticism of any kind all season.

I thought we played pretty well, as did MK at times but I thought we just edged it in the 2nd half. We had some real good chances to go infront but sadly couldn't take them, but it's a point away from home and another game gone!

Good luck for the rest of the season MK.

Just watched the highlights and the thing that stood out for me was that all the goal attempts were long shots from outside the box.

Does this point to a lack of midfield guile for both sides - an unability to fashion chances inside the box.

Or maybe it was just 2 sides determined not to get beat and both packing their midfields

Interesting comments regarding Smiths "fouls" on Kay and Mcfadzean as Robinson stated on 3 Counties Radio that the plan was to bully him and he was surprised McFadzean wasn't booked early. McFadzean is a thug mind.

We both have the best defences in the league, it was always going to more difficult for the forwards than previous weeks. I didn't see MK get in behind us all game to be honest

More 2 teams cancelling eachother out if anything. Both have Freeman and Alli so its not that both sides have a lack of creativity. MK have scored the most goals in the league this season so clearly thats something they dont lack in.

Both had quiet games which says a lot. The defending and goalkeeping from both sides was as good as it gets in this league. I thought our defence were great considering a number of BCFC fans on your main forum were pointing to that 'being a weak link' (don't get me wrong, it is compared to our attack). I think Spence and McFadzean proved a few people wrong as the latter was my MOTM.

I think a lot of It may come down to that both sides were reluctant to express themselves fully knowing the stake of the game.

Yep, this. I think it would have helped our case creatively if we had Reeves fit and had brought on Cole earlier but judging by how the game went, even those two playing half or a full game may have not found a way through your defence.

Thought Reeves looked your best player at Ashton Gate earlier this season, 2nd half especially. Surprised Cole didnt start, looks a good prospect and a handful.

Grigg didn't look match fit to me and Devante Cole didn't really effect the game as defences were definitely on top. Personally, I think both sides were determined not to lose rather than go all out for a win (as stated on another thread). There were, obviously, 2 good sides on the pitch yesterday with little to separate them. I expected MK to go for it at some point as the draw suits us more than them but it never really happened.
From our point of view, I thought Joe B and Mark Little sat a fair bit deeper than they normally do which shows a lot of respect to MK but nullified the, often used, out ball to them when they bomb on. At times, I thought it left JET and Smithy a little isolated, particularly in the first half.

It's draws instead of wins that are going to be the demise of one of us, I reckon.

None of us are going to actually lose many games, but, for example, if we win the 2 upcoming away games and MK draw their 2 we go 5 points clear.

The reverse is also possible, obviously.

I still maintain things will have sorted themselves out well before the Easter weekend showdowns

I disagree. I think it is heading right down to the last weekend and may even need to be settled on GD. There is absolutely nothing between the top 3, especially ourselves and you lot and whoever ends up in the play-offs will find themselves extremely unfortunate. I expect Bristol City to finish 1st by about 3 points and us to finish above you by one goal or something equally ridiculous. Whatever happens, personally I hope the top 3 go up as they are clearly the 3 best teams in the league.

Just seen Robbo's interview. Surely this budget thing is a massive in-joke now...he can't actually be serious.

But we offloaded Chadwick and Smith?

I ALWAYS overlook that. Apologies.

Smith is fucking garbage btw, I've never wanted a mid-season retirement more than his. I've always liked him as a bloke/footballer but this season is making me hate him a lot, in a few weeks I reckon he'll be ranked below child molesters in my mind.

That does not surprise me, looked well passed it towards the end of last season although I thought he was doing alright at County. I certainly remember him getting a lot of praise at the beginning of this season?

He wasn't in the team at the start of the season, so that's probably why.

Judging by the state of our lot singing on our bus on the way home in a facebook video, I think Thatchers cider profits will be good this year!

We got in behind a few times, and in the second half there were countless times we had balls across the box that were inches from being tapped in, but obviously they weren't highlight worthy.

I thought in the first half attacking-wise, Spence was fantastic.

Good battle was Bryan vs Spence, both very attack-minded.

I thought Joe ripped Spence apart early in the game and didn't really attack him afterwards.
