Wycombe will be another tough test especially away from home. We’ve had a big run of fixtures and are walking wounded a bit despite the changes so expect 5 or 6 changes again. Wilson and Massey will probably come in, Garrity looked badly injured so will likely miss out.

If Smith is injured rather than rested he will be a blow as he is the ideal man for Wycombe and their style from a defensive point.

Pressure is off after yesterday, we are plodding along nicely so a point would be acceptable, if we could get all three it would be massive and have us on the cusp of the top 6 which would be a great achievement (not that I expect us to stay there come May).

Defence is a worry though as Smith was missing yesterday, Forrester went off at half time, Jones is suspended and Hall limped through the last five minutes so as it stands we have only Cass that seems certain to be fit!

That pitch of ours has done nobody any favours with injuries yesterday. Think all the injuries yesterday were non-contact and it’s too much of a coincidence for the pitch not to have played a part.

Looking forward to Wycombe though, we need to show we can string results together now. I think we are capable but that’s meaningless until we start showing it.

What's happened to your pitch? It looks terrible for this time of year, bobbly and patchy.

Accrington are a bit of a bogey side for us, we've only won 2 in the last 10 against them. They always seem to find a way.

Didn't realise they'd lost five on the bounce, but they have played Bolton, Derby, Plymouth and Posh in those five to be fair to them so had a similar October to us in terms of league position of sides they've faced.

Basically we've replaced our groundsman with a new guy who has I think done some work in the hope that it plays better later in the winter. It's not a great pitch at the best of times as it's built on top of clay. But at the moment it is awful and is hindering us as much as the opposition.

Don't really know what to make of wycombe. They seem to have been a bit up and down but obviously had a great season last year. I suspect they'll be a load the box sort of team with Vokes in there. Mccleary also has bags of ability.

They seem to give other teams a chance as evidenced by a poor Morecambe team having 16 shots yesterday.

We've picked up loads of injuries, so it's going to be tough...particularly in defence . But yesterday showed that our squad is actually relatively decent.

They have conceded 3 goals in each of the 5 games too!

From what I gather the new groundsman has cut into it and packed sand in to sort it for later in the season but it’s just clumping now. We didn’t get time to work on it in the summer as we wanted due to the play offs then Robbie Williams concert then early start. We did ask the EFL to start away from home but they gave us a home tie!

Groundsman of 43 years has left and the new guy seems to have tried this before the Sheffield Wednesday fixture but it’s a mess, it’s actually improved since the Wednesday fixture and looked ok midweek but the wet weather and games quickly don’t look to have helped.

That said although BG went off injured, Worrall went off as he was unwell. Not sure what happened to Forrester.

They’ve had a couple of really good results and some poor ones so seem very up and down. Hopefully get them on a down day!

Hope we wear the home kit rather than the seemingly cursed caramel third kit though! We never seem to get anything wearing that! (1 win over 18 months!)

Just a small game, Monday night.

Would take a point right now to be honest, be over the moon if we somehow came away with a victory.

Some suggestion Smithy was rested (a rarity) rather than injured probably with Vokes in mind Tuesday being our scrapper. If so another mad but successful gamble yesterday! But gives us an option, hopefully Hall is fit with DJ banned or Forrester and we can have a decent back line for it.

Assume Wycombe are still fairly direct and physical?

Hate these games, they're generally a bit of a free hit for Exeter as we always seem to be expected to win (apart from perhaps in the darkest of administration days). Even more so this time with the home record and being top. Banana skin all over it! On sky too, the perfect storm.

Into them lads! Would give anything for an early goal tonight.

I'm going to take a swig every time Sky mention Devon Derby tonight. I'll probably be too hammered to go in in the morning

And that's the fucking issue, Sky, fuckers tried to call the Plymouth/Pompey game the Dockyard Derby and people bought into it.

Looking forward to tonight's game and would appreciate a positive result for Exeter.

A win Tuesday would see us occupy a top six spot. Meaningless at this point of the season, but still nice to be amongst it all the same.

Morecambe are certainly possession-averse and are happy to play without the ball. They won their last home game with 36% possession and scored with their only shot on target. I expect it will be a scrappy game, hopefully Warne will be able to put something in place to make sure we don't get stuck.

I did the same every time Sky waxed lyrical over Barry Bannon. Was fucked before half time due to their constant wankfest

I'll be quite happy for a repeat of the scoreline in our last live Sky game...or our last meeting against the Cornish come to that!

Good luck to both teams and lets have a good game.

Well we've got 2 Oxfords to play this week, United tomorrow and City at the weekend. At one time we had a phenomenal record against the U's but the last 2/3 years has seen Fleetwood on the receiving end, not in a bad way but not as successful. The hosts had a superb away win against Bolton at the weekend so they will be well up for it, as we should be after the shock of scoring 3 goals. It all points to a draw 2-2

It’s biblical level rain here. Just got a lift home and not seen so much flooding on the roads for years. I think it is worse than last year’s Bolton game with the comedy swimming goal. I very much doubt any side in league one has better drainage, but even ours won’t take it if does not stop for a while.

Don't know what you have to worry about...we have already lost one game this season to a flooded pitch and our ground is one of the highest above sea level in the football league, so much for water flowing downhill!

Were you expecting 16,000 plus fans to turn up, with both sets of fans eagerly awaiting it and significant financial outlays from the club? Was yours televised?

If it does not rain hard we’ll be fine, the issue is if it rains hard for a long time. Couple of hours no rain and it will soak up quickly.

Hoping Exeter turn up tonight. A draw would be more than acceptable in my eyes.

Fantastic break away! Worthy of the lead for me. 0-1 Exeter.

Edit; Well, it was good while it lasted. 1-1 Whittaker.

Great counter by Exeter but then an equally good answer by Plymouth.

Thought Exeter had set up spot on prior to the leveller.
