So annoying. Really thought we’d get at least a point tonight but, to be fair, Plymouth were ruthless and took their chances well.

One thing that struck me was that our subs made us much much worse. When Dieng and Kite were supporting Collins in midfield we looked excellent. Brown and Jay came on and barely got a kick.

Overall, plenty of positives but must get back on track and not let this knock our confidence.

Our Derby game against Plymouth Parkway is to be honest a bit of a let down. The players take it easy, the fans drink together and the atmosphere is rather pedestrian. Tonight on the other hand, a non-Derby was brilliant. Both sets of fans were fantastic, there were twists and turns, superb goals from both sides, skills and passion in abundance. Proof that derbies within city‘s are not always great, but between counties can be.

Really good game, two good footballing sides and well reffed. Atmosphere from both sets of fans was electric.

Exeter shaded the first half and deserved to score. They used an energy sapping high press. Mumba can be both excellent (see goal 2) and brainless (see Exeter’s first). He needs to cut out getting caught with the ball, he has done it a number of times.

Against high presses this season the script has been the same, we struggle or at least underperform up to 60 minutes, then the oppo tire, Schuey brings on fresh strikers and voila. And that is precisely what happened last night, and was really the main difference between the two teams. We are a bit light in the flair department at the moment with both Mayor and Azaz out. Our other forward subs were a 16 and 17 year old. However, the last 20 were made for Hardie’s speed, and boy did he deliver. The only side I have seen keep up with us the whole 90 is Rovers.

We can take heart that Exeter were good, with some real threats, I suspect they will take points off some of our rivals, pushing themselves up the table at the same time.

After Ipswich and now Exeter, I suspect Sky will come down this way again this year - we seem to be involved in some crackers.

PS The only sad thing about last night was that Sparksy did not get to see it

Enjoyed the game but watching both sets of fans 'bounce' was very off putting when it doesn't look or sound right.

Wycombe will be another tough test especially away from home. We’ve had a big run of fixtures and are walking wounded a bit despite the changes so expect 5 or 6 changes again. Wilson and Massey will probably come in, Garrity looked badly injured so will likely miss out.

If Smith is injured rather than rested he will be a blow as he is the ideal man for Wycombe and their style from a defensive point.

It's probably a good time to play us as we've been pissing away points in games where we should have done better, of late.

Arguably the key miss right now is that all our recognised holding midfielders are broken, meaning that we're having to put players in there where they're not naturally spoilers, so we're not that great at breaking up opposition play. Which historically has been our bread and butter.

Anyway, no idea of the result but you have a decent chance of getting a point at least, especially if you try and out-Wycombe us (which both Shrewsbury and Cambridge have done to winning effect) - sit back, hit us on the break etc.

Agree with much of what's been said. Thought Exeter executed their plans better than we did for 60 minutes and then we came on strong again and were too much for them.

Superb atmosphere and we were clinical in front of goal once again.

For Exeter Stansfield is real quality and I thought Nombe and Kite were good players too. If Caldwell can tighten their defence up they'll be a really good side.

We don't really sit back to be honest, even against Ipswich for example we had a go as DC goes in to win every game rather than defend for a point.

Should be a decent tie, both sides in good overall form over the last 5 or 6 games (averaging 2pts a game).

Sure Super Gareth Ainsworth will get his usual great reception from the Vale faithful too. Cracking job he has done down there.

I'm amazed that we've scored from so many set pieces. Historically we've been shite but I think having an actual plan and training for set pieces has helped us.

I was trying to think of the 5 corner goals when it came up on the match last night, to be fair I am assuming second phase counts such as when Wozza recycled it for the winner against Shrewsbury, had the two on the opening day which were well worked to be fair and both with feet rather than head, Smith's volley last Tuesday and the O.G against Cheltenham.

Add in a couple of pens (couldn't score any last year if we don't get given them lol) and the Free Kick flicked in by Ellis v MK and we have certainly improved offensively in that aspect.

Sounds like those travelling tonight have had a horrific run down with the M40 closed due to flooding and an oil spill!
