On in the background at the pub quiz so can’t offer much commentary, but always good to see circus act Kyle Hudlin.

What are Neville and Carragher saying? We’ve controlled 95% of it, dire final ball costing us a better score line.

Wright looks decent for you i reckon , whats happened to Pointon ? seems more on the bench these days always thought he looked a high potential player . This ref looks to have a gaf in him like they all do

Evans should really have got that header on target for Newport there. Kamwa has looked decent for them I feel.

Bradford can't say the warning signs haven't been there second half. Hudlin with a great header in fairness to him.

Newport's defence has let them down again and not been clinical enough, they've had a good amount of chances, Hudlin has been a thorn in Bradford's side which is quite funny.

Game over.

I know they are losing but I've been quite impressed with Newport. I really thought they would struggle this year but on this showing they will be fine

They've looked better than they did against us on this showing two sides that will be in the middle third of the table come May (obviously can only base that on tonight and the game v us from County)

There is a fair bit to like with that Newport side. Get it down and play some nice stuff, also put some good deliveries into the box. Fair play to Bradford though, managed to regroup well and hit back hard at Newport.

Newport's defence has got to be a worry for them. 20 goals conceded in 10 games isn't good. Do look to have enough quality to safely stay in mid-table.

Bradford I thought were going to throw it away, but stepped it up and got 2 well taken goals, so good 3 points for them.

Twenty mins aside in the second half, I thought we were the better team. Happy with the win.

Be some team when we can actually field our strongest XI. The amount of injuries we have is borderline ridiculous.

The most pleasing thing is our home form. We appear to be turning that screw …

Onto Tranmere on Saturday

Other than a 15 minute spell where it felt like Newport hired Beckham on each wing, putting in some beautiful crosses it was a comfortable win. That Hudlin despite his goal is an absolute donkey. Newport reminded me a bit of Crawley, quite tidy on the ball, would think they’ll be okay this season.

Hope you are right but as pointed out on here, last night we played a team with a poor defensive record. Saturday, we are away again and in the first halves of the last 4 away games, we have made Grimsby, Walsall, Harrogate and Morecambe look like Barcelona.

Again, it’s difficult when you lose all three centre-backs and your star signing within the space of 2 weeks. You then need to change formation because you don’t have enough fit defenders, only to then lose Jamie Walker and Joe Adams the week after. Thankfully, Walker is back now.

Halliday has been playing poorly, largely due to formation switch-up. This has deeply affected the players and how we play. We reverted back 352 last night and it showed.

It's a long old season and Bradford have started pretty well really. The expectation every season must be through the roof and that's got to affect the players. They just need to cut out these poor runs they occasionally go on, where everything goes to shit. Consistency is king in this league.

Yep agreed, Bradford just need to cut out that annual half of a season when they are crap and everything around their entire club is toxic and then they'll be absolutely fine.

Yeah but they had the second best pitch in League 2 in 22/23 and nobody can ever take that away from them.

I used to like Grimsby fans...

Anyway, still a ridiculous amount of injuries. Sarcevic "months away" from returning. Callum Johnson in London seeing a specialist. Baldwin back soon. Should be storming up the table when he returns.

Wimbledon away.

Really could have done with this one being off to give us a chance of getting a team together. Down to the bare bones, rumours of more players injured after last week plus Thomas away on international duty. Could be as many as 13 players missing come Saturday. We may have to call on some youth lads to potentially start.

It would be amazing if we could defy the odds and pick up a point, but with Wimbledon’s home record, our defensive record and the never ending list of injuries to key players all over the pitch, I really do fear for us and think we’ll get a bit of a hiding.

Would absolutely bite your hand off for a point, but going for a 5-0 home win.

A notts mate said they’re only getting 900 or so? assuming away fans down the side next to the “old” away stand?

Glad it’s on tv though as a neutral, need a football fix with it being international weekend.

That's ridiculous! Is it your training pitch? Your actual pitch, training methods or just bad luck That's causing these injuries? There's got to be a cause with that many.

We were getting constant muscle injuries from playing on a very boggy training pitch to a firmer matchday pitch, so we've made them both the same. Seems to be working OK, as our injuries we have at the moment are generally long term and just unfortunate.

I don’t know, the training pitch is ok at the moment, it’s winter months where it’s an issue. But we’re currently developing a new training facility so that side should improve.

Ethan Robson did his hamstring in a preseason at Rochdale. Back next month.

Aaron Hayden did his calf in training a few weeks back. Back in a few weeks.

Dan Adu-Adjei got injured against Forest kids in the trophy. Still a month away.

Dylan McGeoch got a calf injury in training a couple of weeks back. Expected back next month.

Ben Williams twisted his knee at Bradford last month. Out till December.

Jordan Jones got a calf injury against Notts last week. Out for a month.

Georgie Kelly is just Georgie Kelly. Permanently injured.

Callum Guy has been out with an ACL for a year. He’s almost back but expected he’ll miss the weekend as too much too soon. Wouldn’t expect him back regularly for another month.

Taylor Charters did his hamstring in preseason. Almost ready to return but Saturday may be too soon I don’t know.

There are potentially 3 more injuries picked up at Colchester last weekend. They haven’t been named yet. I guess we won’t find out until the team is named on Saturday.

Added to Terell Thomas being away with his national team.

Got no attacking players so we’ll just do loads of passing in the middle for 90 minutes solid.
