Looks like that Coventry City fan was right about this move all along... :shifty:

No surprise. County really should be higher than they are. Mark Cooper? Isn't he just another long ball merchant? Don't recall many of his sides playing good football but they were usually well organised and hard to beat. Boring to watch though

Fancy Notts county to make a challenge for playoffs now. They had no chance with Moniz in charge. When you are starting games with a left back and Mike Edwards as your centre backs, you are in big trouble.

They have the talent going forward, so I'd expect a new man to sort out the defence in January and push for the playoffs.

His Swindon side played easily the best football in League One last season. A changed man, or something.

Backroom staff gone as well which is interesting cos that probably means a new man will be in for Saturday - unless they plan on giving it Alan Smith for a game or something.

Hope Stallard keeps his Radio Nottm gig, he's far better than Yates ever was at it.

They did look good in the 5-5 v Sheff Utd if he was in charge of that? Alrhough there was little organisation in that game

Great news, normally fans of other clubs think managers get sacked too early, obviously not the case here though, Moniz was terrible.

Don't have a clue who's next, hopefully Trew won't pick him, the man is a jinx.

Heard John Sheridan a couple of times, be sound for Scot Bennett.

The fact Cooper was there on Saturday probably gives it away though.

That was me when it was on the old forum, I was mocked for my view that he was the wrong appointment and was shouted down, one particularly clever Notts County fan also sarcastically said something along the line of maybe they should have gone for an experienced head like Mowbray instead after one particular crushing defeat for Coventry towards the end of last season.

Stallard is very good on Radio Nottingham... Seems to talk a lot of sense.

This has been covered many times. You essentially said he'd be crap because he's foreign which was a bit silly. Him being foreign isn't why he's failed. Keep pretending you gave some intricately intelligent prediction though.

Inevitable that it would happen, will be a shame as he and county have been roundly mocked by the Mansfield regulars all season.

Maybe if there is an appointment of someone who actually knows what he is doing and knows the league they could still finish top 7 - especially with so many players at his disposal

Surprised it's taken so long tbh

No I didn't say that, and it wasn't that intelligent tbh. I just applied some common sense and basic understanding of football which you couldn't comprehend.

Well, he just came across as completely clueless, and the defeat to Salford came as a complete shock to him - though games like these are staples of lower league football and cup competitions.

Surely plenty of applicants for the job mind? Will be interesting to see who's appointment

So he had a clear knowledge of lower league football in England then? I somehow doubt that. Like butcher at Newport

Non-English people are bad? You've lost me.

John Sheridan is on the shortlist apparently.

Meh on Sheridan. One of those who would probably come in and get us up the table but pretty pointless long term.

That is not what I said, if that is what you have taken from what I said then its patently obvious you never understood or took in a word of what I said.

He is foreign, he won't understand lower league football etc...you covered all the cliches. I remember. It was very insightful.

Pretty sure most of us said this would either be a masterstroke appointment or he wouldn't see out the year. Sad to see it's the latter to be honest.

Decided I would like Graham Alexander. No real reason why.

Urgh can't wait for us to sack another manager in 6 months. We just need some stability. I thought he'd back Moniz as sacking manag3rs this year hasn't done much good for other teams. Trigger happy Trew for a reason...

Probably gonna be dickie dosh. Cause that's what Trew does

He massively underachieved, but I still don't see why the hell he has a squad of 40 players? Mental.

Sheridan would be a good call I feel for Notts County, as would Graham Alexander - But he loves the Fylde coast too much to move from there it would seem!

Cooper for me. Although even I could probably get this squad in the top 7 - seriously just needs a couple of decent centre halves.

Been confirmed down here Sheridan has been linked with the vacancy. He's said for a while he wants to move back up the country so wouldn't shock me to see them make a move for him.

He's now clear favourite for it. Meh, it's sensible if nothing else.

Will also screw us over haha. Can't imagine we'd get much compensation for him as he's only on a contract until the EOS anyway.
