Changed their strip from red to blue as well I think?
Was I dreaming, or were there Chelsea FC advert hoardings at Aldershot tonight? Our fans would for mental if Liverpool advertised in our ground!
Liverpool u23's play at ours, no advertising anywhere and rightly so.Yep, their U23's play here, and pay a decent sum for the privilege.
We do the same for Liverpool, but no hoardings. Just found it a bit odd, I've never seen anything like it before!Yep, their U23's play here, and pay a decent sum for the privilege.
Because they're bankrolled, apparently £3m+ a year, via Peter Swann (married into the Wilkinson discount chain family).Scunthorpe taking 10 fans to Millwall in league one playoffs. How they consistently challenge at the top end of that division I do not know, far smaller club than us. https://twitter.com/BroadcastMoose/status/860201575695908865
Glad I didn't hear them singing that. The only other time I've heard us sing that (Chester friendly) it came back to bite us on the arseSome of our fans singing last night "we'll never play you again."
Yes, yes we will. Second leg.
Lincoln fans sang that to us the year we went down, that one didn't take long either!Glad I didn't hear them singing that. The only other time I've heard us sing that (Chester friendly) it came back to bite us on the arse
Given the amount of money they pay, and the fact they show every game live on Chelsea TV , I have no issues with it as it gives our sponsors double the exposure.
Check the dateTake it that the mistake here is that that awful Twitter account is somehow verified.
Whilst its what we're all thinking, its not very professional...

According to someone on our forum, Cooper was on Talksport last night saying that FGR are going to give loads of free tickets away to try and get over 10k fans at Wembley. Seeing as we'll get a proportion of the money they spend on those tickets, I'm not massively against it, but it's a bit tinpot if true! Rent-a-crowd.
Surely the only way that would increase their attendance would be by giving the tickets to people who wouldn't go if they had to pay. Bit of a kick in the teeth for the proper fans who've been going all season paying the full 40 quid a ticket. I wouldn't be happy if I'd forked out the money to then see a casual fan who hasn't been since the last Wembley trip 17 years ago getting in for free.
Plenty of Tranmere fans in the same boat. It's a rip off from start to finish, and the cost can be a major obstacle for some families.Yup. I know of a genuine FGR supporter who has decided not to go because the cost for him and his family would be prohibitive.
You do know this is a Division 5 forum? Most teams down here would have a week-long village fete with running duck racing and welly throwing and everything if they came 2nd in Div 4!Plymouth holding an open top bus parade for finishing 2nd in Division 4 (It was the first item on Spotlight!!)
