Chatted to some Ebbsfleet fans before the game today and asked them about their sugar daddy. They categorically denied they had one.

Yep, some of our fans do appear to be in denial, although I'd hardly say it constitutes as tinpot, but hey ho!

Can't link to it, but our team sheet has Rory Falcon on the bench for Torquay.

So our fans chant red and white army....is that going to be banned as well? The fact the FA only took an interest because Lucy Bronze put a picture up (even clarifying what the phrase meant) and probably have had a small number of complaints about it is stupid in itself. No complaints from the whole time they've been on BT or Sky when the banner would have been seen.

It's got nothing to do with racism, the FA used to cover up the banners on the Stratford End when England played at Old Trafford, the FAW replace Cardiff City banners with banners that have pictures of the Welsh squad and the motto 'Together Stronger' when the Welsh national team have games at the Cardiff City Stadium. Heck even Gander Green Lane was covered with England related banners and adverts when we hosted the England C team last year. It's about turning the club ground into a home for the national team

There were plenty of banners that weren't covered though. The only one that was covered was the Super White Army one.

Exactly ffs, articles like this are such irresponsible journalism cos all they're designed to do is wind up a load of men who were born in the days of Jim Crow and apartheid. I'd have no problem if they covered up any emblems of Halifax Town if the women's team were to play a match at the Shay, in fact it'd be nice to know that we actually have some there.

As I said above, you'd have a point if they had covered up all the banners, not just the one in question.

I think the fact that none of the other Tranmere banners around the ground were covered shows that this instance is just a case of political correctness gone mad from the FA. However i'd agree that covering up club related signage is pretty common when grounds host England games, although normally it's more the club sponsors that get replaced by FA ones.

Super White Army could arguably have been the only one left uncovered, given that England play in white. It IS pathetic, and it is PC gone mad, because you know that the only thought process behind the decision was some daft bastard worrying it could be construed as racist.
