5 million quid for that?

Did they sell them some magic beans while they were at it?
Could buy 100 million hot dogs for that. Sell them at Morecambe prices and you're making a £445m profit. Foolproof.

Morecambe used to have some of the best pies in the FL. Would have gone for them rather than the hot dog option.

I dunno why everyone thinks this is tinpot? Could argue £5million for a stand is a bit/kinda crazy but the bar looks fit for purpose for a team that averages around 1100-1200 fans?

Perhaps it's just me.
It's the difference between a club having to make every penny of their building budget count, and a club who can just write cheques when they want to. Most non-league clubs would have built two or three new stands that complied with FL requirements and had change left over.

If you're going to replace the best standing terrace in the county, then make the new stand something special. I heard somewhere the architects were the same ones responsible for Dartford's new ground, which explains a lot. From the plans, the new hotel end is possibly even worse, with two rows of windows and a roof miles above the supporters. Maybe it will all look great when built.

I really feel sorry for Ebbsfleet fans because it looks absolutely dreadful......what used to be one of my favorite non league grounds is now being turned into this soulless venue

You've just encouraged me to revisit how Ebbsend Gravesfleet's ground used to look, and it really is impressive to see such a classic stadium lasted the length. The new stuff isn't the worst and most alienating design by any means, but you can't beat a deep terrace with a reverberating pitched roof. http://www.pyramidpassion.co.uk/html/gravesend___northfleet___dartf.html

The hotel end will hold 1700 standing, the same as Maidstone's new terrace. Yet the images suggest the highest fans will be about the same as the main stand with a roof four times as high. I get the wish to generate additional income streams; we did it with a plastic pitch that we love and everyone else hates. Gravesend & Northfleet's ground is a notable landmark from the railway and the first thing I noticed when moving to Kent. Maybe they should paint the club name on the main stand roof so all the commuters moving in known they have a local club to support.

Solihull turning the lights off.

Nothing to do with us beating them 15-0 over the course of 3 1/2 games of course.
