It is relatively close in distance but BPA are one of the worst supported clubs in the division.

In truth, marketing. Our new owners have been taking on board a lot of suggestions made at our last AGM. The design is essentially a rehash of the badge before last minus the heraldry. We can trace our roots back to the late 1800’s with Ilford Fc but nobody is screaming it as gospel. 1992 was the year of our merger as Dagenham and Redbridge.

Our Sheffield United-esq badge was woeful ( it had daggers crossed downwards which signifies surrender) and was never popular amongst our supporters. It’s been introduced to sell more merchandise essentially.

All in all another slow news day.

I’d class a sleeping giant as a team that’s spent a lot of time at a certain level but have dropped off it, so for the idiot to describe them as a sleeping giant because they might be capable of getting to a league they’ve never yet come anywhere close to, is complete bollocks.
