I’d class a sleeping giant as a team that’s spent a lot of time at a certain level but have dropped off it, so for the idiot to describe them as a sleeping giant because they might be capable of getting to a league they’ve never yet come anywhere close to, is complete bollocks.

Pretty much every non-league division has a couple of clubs who claim they have "the foundations to make the National League" or similar. Egham Town said that a couple of years ago, last season they were relegated to step 5 with average attendances below 100.
