Can't remember where in the thread it is, but one of my favourites involved a manager being given a stadium ban, so he watched the game from the attic of an adjacent house while issuing instructions to his assistant by phone.

Also, there was Osset Albion having the ball on a plinth that the players would run out either side of as if it was the world cup final, and a bit of a thread (think it was a different thread) on non-league badges that were a clear ripoff of big team's badges *cough* FGR *cough*

From memory I think it was something to do with a particularly tinpot rivalry Gateshead were trying to create with Grimsby. Gateshead were rubbing in the fact they'd knocked them out of the playoffs and were advertising telling everyone to get down to watch them beat them again.

Grimsby then proceeded to beat them 7-1 away in the match I think.
