Watford fans have always been a bit like that haven't they? All that stuff with the vegetables?

A breed apart.

I had to look this up.

We Just renewed & migrated namservers- for most it wouldn't have caused downtime but it depends how quickly each connection picks up the new DNS.

Didn't Oliver Kahn have an issue with them using his name so he was always called Jens Mustermann.

They had no rights to use the German National Team anyway so they were given generic names (even though the real life players were included for their clubs) but Kahn did indeed go even further yes!

Even though Gordon Strachan is stating the obvious I think the whole of Scottish football outside the SPL deserves to be classed as tinpot;-

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52797428

"Strachan, who is technical director at Championship side Dundee, believes "40 or 50%" of SPFL clubs would not survive in the English National League."

Proof is in the pudding with the number of players from this league ending up at Motherwell and Inverness.

The thing is though Scotland has never had the money increase that English football has. The lower Scottish leagues have never had bankrollers (Livingston apart 20 years ago) try and get them up the leagues. I think a lot of English lower league football and the upper regions of non leagues are in very "artificial" positions right now through overspending.

That said, if you gave Scottish sides a chance in England with the current TV money we have here, I can only see a maximum of 2 (Celtic and Rangers) competing at Premier League level and another 3 maximum (Aberdeen, Hearts and Hibs) competing at Championship level. Your Dunfermline's, Dundee's, Dundee United's, Falkirk's, Motherwell's, Kilmarnock's, Partick's, St Mirren's and St Johnstone's would probably compete at League One/Two levels but the rest genuinely wouldn't look out of place in the National League. And I'm a fan of the game in Scotland and I go up to watch football there regularly. But a lot of big town sides in Central Scotland have massively regressed in the modern era. The 10,000 capacity stadium rule (since reduced) wreaked havoc and that's why the Scottish matchday experience is pretty poor at places like Airdrie, Hamilton and Clyde (when they played in Cumbernauld). There's no intimidating atmospheres at lower league grounds and it feels like the game has been sanitised all over Scotland.

The problem is in Scotland, there are two big clubs supported in every city across the country (even the nation's capital) and even a one club city like Aberdeen has that problem too. It's not like England where our population is bigger and we have more one club cities. I think Scotland does well for a country of 5.5 million, but the Celtic-Rangers dominance in every town is set in stone. Whatever they try, they have next to no chance of improving the SPFL bar sacking that tit Neil Doncaster.

This is all true. The SFA really don't help though. Youth development in Scotland is 30 years behind England. There are loads of great academies in England but Scotland doesn't produce the same level of quality.

Genuinely think you'll see some change in Scotland in the next decade with regard to youth policy. Since the Rangers debacle in 2012, most SPL and Championship clubs have gone down the Academy route and a lot of young lads are playing for their sides. But it'll take a generation for them to fix and be in a position for them to make a World Cup again. But I expect Scotland to make a Euros at some point this decade.

Problem is, Scotland punched above their weight for years because of a large working class population where all the kids could do was play football. Given we're in England and we love to see them fail, we never gave them credit for their achievements and it never helped they couldn't make a knockout stage, but when you think about it, Scotland actually overachieved massively. In an era without money, Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen and Dundee United had teams most of Europe feared in the 60s, 70s and 80s. When the industry died, the kids started to pursue other interests, coupled with the independence of former USSR and Yugoslav states and the rise of English money is when Scotland's prospects on the international stage started to decline.

You see now with countries like Croatia. All their kids have is football, it's no surprise that they're developing world class footballers with a population smaller than Scotland. Just as Scotland did for many years previously. Another argument is perhaps the British coaches "over-coach" their players whereas a lot of lesser nations like Kosovo, Croatia, Switzerland etc tend to let their players express themselves a lot more. But that's a whole different kettle of fish...

Some of the highlights in the list of 'rewards'

Our club trying to charge people 2 GRAND for a drink with local alcoholic Bootlegger :ffs:

Signed letter from Dean Keates, £10. Many pointing out that unless it's his resignation nobody is interested.

Watch training, £150. When you can watch it anytime you want considering we play on a council field essentially.

Are the club going to take people to court if they find fans drinking with Bootlegger in the Fat Boar or Wheatsheaf, both of which he frequents in non-lockdown times?

He’s usually in the Fat Boar when home games are on, not sure if the club are aware that he basically never goes to games.

He does it right, the drinks in the pub before and after the match are usually the best bit of the day.

I must admit I do follow him on Twitter as its quite funny, but I don't see much content posted at all with regard to him being at the Racecourse, or at Wrexham games in general apart from the odd away game. Seems more about Pilsners and being on the lash than football in general and that he's gone away from what got him well known in the first place.
