Yep local lifelong fan millionaires vs Hollywood actor millionaires with absolutely no connection to club/town making a documentary series. If our new owners are more tinpot, I'll take the tinpot option please. At least we know what we are and we're not butthurt every time someone says Deadpool wasn't the biggest movie of all time ever.

you sound a little defensive there.

Weve had local millionaires. They nearly destroyed the club (not that I think that's inevitable, I wish your new owners all the best). It may well end in tears but there is quite a lot of bitter comments coming from other people, its just a bit tiring now. Yes we may become a circus, but its hardly tinpot is it? And behind all the jokes they seem very sincere, for once there is some optimism around the place, and some investment into the infrastructure of the club (the ground the training ground, the youth team, the women's team). Weve had nearly 2 decades of utter shit to put up with so can we not enjoy this for once? you don't need to engage if it upsets you.

And despite the jokes we aren't going to try and buy the league, they've been quite clear about that.

This Grimsby/Wrexham BEEF is spicier than last seasons Wealdstone/Barnet BEEF
No BEEF from me, I just think it's hilarious that you can't criticise their new owners without at least one Wrexham fan crying.

So, do we need a thread called 'Most blockbuster thing I ever heard' for the cringey stuff that they're doing then?

Not really arsed about how tough you've had it to be honest, loads of clubs have had it tough. Some worse, some not as worse. I like Wrexham as a club and your fans and I hope it works out for you, but if you think that means I'm not gonna poke fun at you then you don't know me very well!

Likewise the two local millionaires who have been fans since they were kids have come in and in the first couple of weeks have already:

Appointed the chair of the supporters trust to the board
Put out a fans survey to get the views of the fans
Pulled us out of the fight to avoid relegation on a technicality
Publicly backed the call to improve governance in football
Invested in the training ground, ripping up the pitches to relay them and other work
Installed a new under pitch sprinkler system at Blundell Park

So plenty of optimism at Grimsby too, especially as we have got rid of an owner and board that learnt nothing from being down here last time. I don't see bitter comments coming from town fans, like SoC says just seems to be the usual pisstaking and Wrexham fans getting defensive over it.

Appreciate it must be hard realising there are an entire generation of Scunny, Stevenage and even Crawley fans in their teens that have never heard of Wrexham FC, to which a documentary series might educate them, but at the end of the day it's only football, and am sure you will get promoted one day.

Funny that Wrexham fans complain about seeing bitterness about their new owners and the inevitable financial doping they're going to bring with them when they and other BELTs on here are making constant jibes at any club without EFL history daring to have any degree of success (like all the comments about Sutton being ruined if they get promoted lately, or stuff like "Solihoof"). Seems they can't quite handle the "bankrolled" jokes when they're not the ones making them.

Well said Atavistic :bravo:

And before anybody accuses me of hypocrisy or something else along those lines, I would like to go on record that if I were a Wrexham fan and had the opportunity to vote in that takeover vote they had, I would've voted NO to two Hollywood actors with no links whatsoever taking over the club.

Some things are more important to me than documentaries and winning promotion will ever be.

you rotten bullies.

Vanni- and that would have been your prerogative. Time will tell who would have been right. I was pretty positive about the WST, unfortunately a run of bad decisions turned a lot against them. In the end they really had become tinpot.

You've obviously never seen Solihull play then.

Agreed to some extant, however I have just looked up Wrexham, as not taken much notice since we got promoted, and hadn't realised this is their 13th season they have been down here (thought it was only around 10, time flies and it was actually 2010 when we came down the first time!), and if they make it this season, this will only be their 5th play-off campaign down here (with the last 4 seasons going down to 7th place). Not sure how many finals they have made in them, I know there was one against Newport. Apart from the 98 points and Fleetwood year they have never been close to champions either.

Must get to the point at sometime, when it doesn't matter anymore and its just time to get out this league!

Does anyone take anything written here seriously?

Think it’s the couple of bored Grimsby fans who’ve nothing better to do than relentlessly go on about our takeover. Post something then someone replies and then say how RATTLED they are or something. Think that’s how it works.

Going to be a long summer.

Yeah we were going really well before this to be fair, it was all rosy. Wouldn’t have gone bust within the next year at all.

We're in pre-season banter training right now and have got a month's head start on creating some really exciting stuff so you're gonna have to get your heads in the game pronto.

And yes, relentlessly going on about your takeover. It's almost as if there's a correlation between our responses and the endless barrage of videos and Twitter updates posted by...

...ah yes, Wrexham fans.

We’re a Brotherhood, we should be getting along and fight the evil of next season. Which as ever is Boreham Wood.

Which are usually posted within the thread about us, which wasn’t even created by a Wrexham fan and is easily avoidable by erm....not clicking on it?

Hollywood Red is a clown and does not represent proper fans anyway.

I don't believe in the brotherhood, it was created by a Halifax fan who let his club go bust and likes to believe he still supports an ex league club

You must.

It was agreed that he chairs the Tinpot Brotherhood to keep him happy. The one with reformed clubs in like Chester, Darlington, Halifax 2008 etc.

PLEASE why are you all talking about our takeover so much? And while you draft a response, please check out the new Deadpool trailer, thanks.

Lots of love,
