It's a blatant marketing ploy, and it was turned down last time.

Brighton Whitehawk, or even Brighton Whitehawks for full americanisation would probably get through though and satisfy both their marketing goals (to appeal to all of Brighton for support) and the FA in keeping with their traditional name. That said it would make "Hull Tigers" a closer call if/when they tried to do it again in the future.
