The crowdfunding appeal has been nothing short of staggering, really warms your heart to see so many different people chucking money at a club in a time of need, random teams collecting for us, Ebbsfleet raised £470 today at their game, £400 was raised at Gillingham's game, it really is something else, with that said, like Soup Ladle, I haven't handed over a penny to it, the current owners are basically holding a gun to our heads and asking for £200k by the end of the month or we'll put the club into administration, we're being held to ransom. What happens when/if we raise this money, that keeps us alive until the end of Feb, what then, another round of bucket rattling, it can't happen.

The Trust are about to launch their own fundraising campaign next week, that's were my money will be going, a ring fenced fund in which every penny is accounted for, not just chucking 40/50/60k into a black hole.

Jeff sounded quite positive, he's meeting an investor on Monday alongside the Trust, so I guess Monday/Tuesday will be the make or break for us.

I know it's not much but £470 from a crowd of 911 isn't bad at all! Not 100% but I think there are plans to do the same at the next league game.

That’s brilliant mate, especially from a club we have no connection with historically and geographically. Hats off for that, top effort

At this rate Chester are going to escape and Hartlepool will find themselves in the relegation zone come May.

We're showing signs of being able to get out of the mess we're in, but yesterday's result was poor.

If we go into admin we will get relegated, simple as. And relegated more than one level.

Even if we don’t, we’ll still be in a bit of trouble with the clueless buffoon we have in charge. He’d have been well sacked by now if the club was run properly, nah actually, he’d not have been appointed at all.

You’ve got it right. He’s talking to some potential investors/buyers but don’t know if he’s planning to front anything or not.

What happened to your parachute money? I don't think it was ever intended to be spunked away in a reckless attempt to bounce back in one go, but to provide a financial cushion against ongoing financial commitments to players still under contract and the potential drop in revenue resulting from the relegation, and to allow time to adjust your budgets and cash flows to your new circumstances.

FYI- Administration = points deduction, Liquidation = multiple relegations. :ds:

I Can understand why come fans will not contribute, this sort of shit can divide a fanbase as I've witnessed in the last 12 months.

I personally donated around £120 of my own money to our own fans trust fund, which still hasn't been used, nor do I doubt it will be used anytime soon, but I knew what I was doing when it started up.

I myself will donate £5 to the Hartlepool cause, this sort of shit needs to stop. I hope you get a new owner soon.

That's a question we'd all like to know? We could do with being 10 players lighter, several coaches/management lighter and without fucking question, a head of recruitment lighter, who has a head of recruitment in non league for gods sake, it is crazy.

We've been bent over and shagged three times by owners in relative quick succession, the first lot are now in prison http://www.cotswoldjournal.co.uk/ne...raudsters_jailed_after_Hartlepool_United_bid/ their successor Gary Coxall is now bankrupt for the second time in his life (in name only, his unmarried partner no doubt the money holder) https://m.thegazette.co.uk/notice/2886066 and the third are trying to lead us a merry dance.

Not at all, just living within our means. You should try it.
Unless you fancy following the trail blazed by the Stones and later followed by Halifax, Chester, Darlington, Hereford etc. I wouldn't if I were you, it's a hell of a long way back! :bdick:

When you lot came down, I ended up having conversations with a few in Gravesend pre match and I know a few stayed on after despite the loss and drunk with some of our lot. Top bunch. Good luck!

Sorry, a comeback that takes over 20 years isn't a comeback cuz nobody remembers you from first time around. :fl:
I mean, we did have to climb NINE tiers, everyone else seems to only have gone down 3

At the time it was the 15th tier: Kent County Division 4. We were helped a little on the way (1 division was removed the year we got promoted to the KCD2 and when switching from the amateur Kent County Premier to the professional Kent Premier we had to go via election which for some reason skipped a division. Our root back has been:

Kent County Division 4
Kent County Division 2
Kent County Division 1
Kent County Premier
Kent Premier
Isthmian Division 1 South
Isthmian Premier
National League South

Seems harsh. At worst a team would start in the 11th tier which is still in the pyramid. Sure would be the way in the north east as below that its pretty much pub leagues. By rights with the fa seen darlington as a new club they should have started in the wearside league (11th tier) but that would have been crazy with there fan base

Not bad. Will get odd goal here and there. Hes stepped up from part time to full tike football better than some. Just hope gateshead got a decent fee for him

Former Barrow manager Mickey Moore has joined Marcus Bignot's backroom team at Chester.
Bignot's turn in charge of this pair's 'Who manages each other' relationship then.

Looks like we’re getting taken over by a local tycoon next week. He’s worth over 100m and is a property developer. He’s well respected and from the town so let’s see. What I hear is that he will get the club and the ground. The last part concerns me a bit but let’s see
