They've got to do something ....away fans will drop , the average we've had will have been boosted by Donny , Pompey and Carlisle ...it will be less than 100 most weeks ..... I fear for the midweek attendences ...

I think only two clubs brought more than 200 to SB this season so with Pools being quite a way from a lot of clubs, cant see it being any better.

I can only see Wrexham bringing anyone ....Halifax never brought many in the league so I can't see that changing ..... as for Gateshead ! .. that's us taking 3000 + there and them bringing 300 here ....

Have Hartlepool/Orient fans had the "Welcome to Hell" posts yet from the likes of Wrexham/Grimsby fans? (although you'd be forgiven for thinking they were Vietnam war veterans recounting their experiences given the way they're written).

In truth, if you can get a decent team together and (more importantly IMO) a decent manager, it won't be so bad. Since Mellon came in I have enjoyed this season immeasurably more than the two recent relegations. Beating tinpotters is definitely more enjoyable than getting battered by ex-Premier League and Championship sides. There's also some great away days, proper old school terraces and down to earth fans. If you can block the single automatic promotion place and the utterly terrible standard of officiating from your mind you might actually enjoy it!

Well, 375 average this year which would put us 3rd in National League followings. Times change. Last time I went to Hartlepool you bricked our coach. Loved it. Same again please. You'll know you're in non league coz they cry about that sort of stuff here.:bdick:

Really nervous for our final against Chorley on Saturday. Can't underestimate them, they'll bring a good following (1000+) and have no pressure on them. However, we've done well against them this season and I just want to be rid of regional football, it's horrible bar the big matches against the likes of Stockport, darlo, fcum etc...

We've gone on a steep decline since that unbelievable first season back in the conference in the 2013-14 season which saw us lose narrowly to Cambridge in the playoffs. Last years relegation had me fearing stagnation in the conference north like Stockport but I believe that day out at Wembley saved us. A big income for the club and ended the season on a huge high.

IF we do beat Chorley, I do worry for next season as we have a lot of players on 2 year contracts who I don't believe are good enough for the conference prem. hopefully we would clear the dead wood out and bring in a nice mixture of experience and youth to add to what would be a strong start to a national league squad with the likes of:
Brown, Johnson, garner, macca, Roberts, kosylo, Sinnott...

Don't let me and the rest of us down shaymen!

Last time I was at Halifax Geoff Horsfield took the piss, we got beat 2-1 and our fans started fighting the police and themselves during half time, hope your lot come up :2thumb:

I think that was a one off .... there are a few I don't fancy , too far , too small , wrong reasons I know , but I'm looking forward to Barrow in fairness ...

Of the ones I'd look at avoiding if I'm you, Boreham Wood because they're a scummy lot with no fans, Eastleigh because.. it's just so boring, whoever wins between Gravesend and Chelmsford because they're both awful places, and Fylde because it's all just so plastic.

Don't be like that silver. It's worth coming to our place just to see the absolute darlings that work there. Very easy on the eye. Shame I have no chance with them but still they're nice to look at all the same

At least with Chelmsford you can stand relatively close to the pitch. Gateshead you're set back half a mile away.

Plus Chelmsford is extremely close for us, so I'd love it if they came up at the expense of Gravesend on Saturday.

Yeah, you're only 30 miles from Chelmsford, unlike Gravesend which is an absolute mission of around 20 miles. I don't see it making much difference as you'll only take 200 to either of them anyway.

Still can't look forward to a season in the Conference as there's every chance we'll be in administration come June 12th. Odd knowing that, should Tranmere beat Nailsworth, we'll be the least tinpot side in whichever division we end up staining.

More about the trains ;) Much easier to get to Chelmsford by train than Gravesend.

Stratford to Ebbsfleet takes like, 10 minutes. Bit different from Norwich though I know :)

With you going FT as well as Maidstone, I make that at least 16 FT'ers next season in the league? Not sure what the situation is with the N and S sides other than Fylde who are FT already.
