Who's this Jake Hyde we've signed? :ds:
A decent NL standard striker with decent technique, good at making near-post runs but with a propensity to get injured. He’s only ever done well at Southern clubs though!

He didn't do very well at Maidenhead.
Scored about 2 goals in around 20 games and often injured.
However worked hard and quite good technically.

Is this the same ref that sends players off for nothing challenges? I seem to recall his name cropping up tonnes of times on here a couple of seasons ago.

You know yourself how bad the standard is down here and he's the worst referee I've seen at this level. And remember I've been watching games here for 12 years now. The number of cards he gives for nothing is obscene.

I think we all know why he's been 'promoted'.

Moses Emanuel, who joined Stones at the start of the year, has re-signed . Our forward line now has two strikers over the age of 30 with NL experience and two punts on lower league goal machines from Maldon and Tiptree.

That's usually a good rule of thumb. :cool1:

Then they sign for Wrexham when we've drained them of any meagre talent they had. You know I'm right. :dk:

Regarding streaming for the forthcoming season, taken from a fans meeting with our club board -

"In terms of league games, the National League are currently in discussion with mediaplatforms so what we are allowed to do will depend on the outcome of these talks"

so it should be available, just wish they'd pull their fingers out

He says, as they sign Luke Summerfield, whose legs are still out there on the Racecourse pitch when they went about 18 months ago.

We don't need his legs, we got Keiran Green, Jack Earing and Nial Maher to do his running for him, chuck. :ds:

That's nice :)
Will you have any good players to loan to us when we've got rid of all our players & need to get some more in?

None standing out like Ogie and Sotiriou yet, but it’s always a conveyor belt.

A 34 week season to play 46 games, with god knows how many postponed matches in winter and other nonsense Cup games to play. Good luck getting through this with majority of clubs running reduced squads. Quality is going to be horrendous this season, worse than ever.

Speak for yourself, I can't wait for Eastleigh away on a Thursday night.

Barnet? You'll have 35 games in hand by March.

Having sorted out the drainage problem and having the pitch relaid, overseen by the Spurs head groundsman and using their staff and equipment(and money?) hopefully we won't have any issues this season. At the moment with only 8 players, we won't be playing on it often.

Do you think the National League will try and schedule some of the longer away trips in the first month whilst the weather is still (reasonably) predictable?

Hartlepool is going to be our only overnight stay this season.

Not a chance.

Hartlepool will be travelling down to Dover on a Tuesday in the depths of winter.

Virtually every trip for us is the other end of the earth this season, it's ridiculous, so I'd expect one of our closest games in Dover away to be scheduled for a Tuesday night.

We've gone from 3 (or 4) midweek league games to 11 this season to cram everything in.
