How the fuck we’ve kept this under wraps is beyond me. When they said they were talking worldwide exposure they weren’t shitting us.

We need to see their plans before getting carried away, or rather see their advisor’s plan for their money. If it goes through though we are talking serious investment.

I just hope Reynolds has enough money to match Stockport.

That English soccer team Wrexham who took home the FA Cup in 1992.

We still have to see what they are offering and vote, as a fan owned club, whether to proceed with the takeover

Spending your way out of this league has always been acceptable if you’re a Proper Club.

To be honest I wouldn’t care if they fucked off after getting us back into the League, getting out of this hellhole and just being a solid league club again is all I want. Well apart from the fact it would secure our immediate future in the middle of this nonsense where fans aren’t allowed in.

It does seem legit though and it’s all crazy.

Stockport County.
Brings about a bit of a mickey mouse feel to Wrexham this. At the moment it's half and half between those laughing with them and those laughing at them. See how that pendulum swings either way over the coming months.

Good luck to them though, I like Wrexham.

Pools forums are in meltdown over this.

If it’s true and Raj Singh has raised the asking price when he found out, he can get the fuck out of my club right now.

if it’s as RS said and they didn’t say who they were then he’s done the right thing. Is it possible they changed tactics when Wrexham were approached and got their identity out there quicker?

Either way I don’t have any proof.

All I know is that we’re as good as bust at the minute with the way we’re being ran. No kits, no sponsors, no staff. It’s a skeletal operation on life support. I’d love Raj Singh to leave, he’s lost an enormous amount of goodwill since Covid started.

All will be revealed i think.

The rumours is that it was Rob McElhenneys idea, his dad was a miner and his grandad a Longshoreman and he wants to invest in a blue collar traditional team and make them successful again. Which makes sense if they were looking at Hartlepool as well. He sold the project to Ryan Reynolds.

here is the lowdown from apparent people in the know

I don’t believe for a second that Singh didn’t know who he was dealing with, they entertained these talks with his group for weeks and this was all before Covid hit our shores at the start of the year, Robbie Stelling basically confirmed last night in now deleted tweets that Singh knew who they were and his dad was trying to protect him online by saying it was a non starter.

This is still a shot in the dark takeover, who knows their plans and what it entails but I’d much rather be in Wrexham’s position right now than our amateur hour shit show.

And yes I will agree that a proper club bankrolled is not a problem and it states specifically in the doctrine.

Will be hard to deal with when it could’ve been us but I knew the day we were relegated we’d never get out except downwards.

That also leaves Jeff Stelling in a slightly sticky spot.

Robbie will be getting a smaller train set for Christmas now.

Hopefully the one going out of town, they've all got some questions to answer on this, Raj, Jeff and this mysterious Chief Exec Jesper who I'm convinced doesn't actually exist as he's done absolutely fuck all to date.

I’ve now seen that Stelling lied in public to protect Raj. He’d allegedly been urging Singh to sell and hasn’t spoken to him since they pulled out.

Could be, though I suspect it's our chairman putting on a different voice and pulling a second wage out the club at this point.

What you reckon, Raj will spit his dummy out and walk away now he's public enemy number one around Pools, other than the usual bootlickers (budget booster twerps) the feeling towards him is pretty unanimous.

Only at Pools would they reject two Hollywood A Listers in the middle of a global, recession causing pandemic.

The whole operation runs on Raj’s ego doesn’t it? Wanted to fleece a couple of Hollywood A-listers like his care homes make him superior. He might well pull the plug soon, I’ve always suspected that, or he’s holding on for dear life expecting a Wembley appearance or a promotion so he can walk away and say ‘I’m da man’ to anyone who’ll listen. Either way it’s all about him and past experience says it doesn’t end well.

Imagine if someone had told you this time last year you’d be writing those words in 12 months’ time...

Ryan Reynolds has got some serious coin, just sold his gin business for $600,000,000 and is a major shareholder in Tinder.

Apparently at the Wrexham Supporters Trust SGM it was said that these aren't the same bidders as the consortium who were interested in Hartlepool. Not sure if true though.

I know it means very little but I can tell you with 100% certainty that it was, it’s over now, it sadly is what it is.

Would Wrexham fans trust Keates to spend decent money wisely? Genuine question, I don't know how he's done in that regard.

His signings have all been decent on paper this summer, but his style of play last time he was here was diabolical to watch. I am not convinced he has what it takes to get us up but I'd like to be proven wrong.
