Are there any Salford fans on here?
Or at all?
Went and had a visit to their forum to try and get an idea of how they think they will go this season and how they've been playing in the pre-season, but there is only about 4 posters on there, so couldn't find out much.

They may not have any fans now but you do know what Gaz Nev and Peter out on a Lim are doing right now don't you? They're laying just the foundations down at this moment in time and will grow to become a proper club

Here's a pic of the newly established junior 'ammies fan club, this lovely parent is being heavily incentivised to get her kids to games. The one second left is even distantly related to Paul Scholes, another one of the noblemen behind the visionary Salford project

Check out the facebook National League banter page there's plenty of them on their.....ironically all claiming to have supported them before the money men showed up.

Very touchy bunch who get all pissy when their absurd spending gets mentioned.

Given that we have played 80% of our pre-season games and still have at least 3/4 players to sign before Saturday, I have no idea how we'll get on against Barnet.

Purely because they have nicked our captain and our most consistent players from the last 2 seasons, i'll assume Barnet will have more than whatever we can put out and will win 2-1.

Barnet fans - how many do you think you will bring on Saturday?

Are they called Gary Phil Paul and Ryan by any chance?

Looking forward to another trip to Dover this weekend. Do love a long away day first game, gets you prepared for the misery of another season!

Really don't know what to expect from us in this match or throughout the season. Haven't done a pre-season game but based on what I've read, I'll say that we'll play some tidy football but lose 2-1.

Our first foray into NL away at Ebbsfleet on Saturday. I'm going as it is a new ground and would expect 7/800 to travel perhaps. No idea what to expect, no idea how our squad compares to the rest of the league but after the last 2 seasons surely it can't get any worse in terms of results.

Weirdly looking forward too it but with games following against Aldershot, Braintree and Barrow i'm sure the novelty will wear off quick..

I'm sure the likes of Stockport and York though that too. Even Hartlepool to some extent last season.

I'd probably take midtable right now just to have a bit of stability. I do think we will go better than that but to be honest i've no idea what to expect. I;ve been to 1 friendly so can't really judge the new signings, but very glad Allen has cleared out all of the overpaid crap from the last 2 seasons.

Ebbsfleet first game will be a tough one, they are a well organised, ambitious non-league outfit with plenty of cash to throw about. They also signed Ebou Adams following his loan spell with the orient and subsequent release by Norwich who is a brilliant centre mid for this level.

Fully expect both sides to be in the top 7 by the end of the season, but I wouldn't be too disheartened if you lose this opener.

It really is as bad as you can imagine. It just has to be seen to truly be believed....its surprisingly entertaining though watching idiots arguing over the most pointless crap ever.
One Hamlet fan added a load of his friends to that page as soon as we were promoted. I removed myself after about 30 seconds of reading drivel posted by morons who seemed to be competing to be more abusive than each other, and I think most others have done the same.

Trust me it gets a lot worse. Like you’ll never imagine. It’s all very well getting dicked at home 5-0 by Cambridge in L2, you think that’s bad at the time but it’s not a patch on the 11 home defeats we had last season in this league, most of them to the truly most tinpot of clubs this division has to offer, with no away fans, shithousing their way to comfortable wins. This league is an utterly humbling experience for all traditional football league sides who come down. You will realise that with your team like we did that we may be bigger than most sides here but your squad is worse and that’s how football is won and lost. You have to adapt quickly or you get caught in the quagmire like we did and it just spirals and spirals. Our players thought they’d stroll arrogantly through games and we got what we deserved. Our fans also never realised how tough it would be.

Ebbsfleet are a very strong side for this level and certainly the best side I saw last season. Very tough opener for you. A point would be a very decent result. I went there last season, we lost 3 nil, great set of fans and they donated very generously to us so safe to say I hope they do well this year.

You should do fine with Allen as boss and the squad you have but a good start will be very important. Just do not underestimate anyone here, match their work rate, adopt the shithouse tactics other sides use and then you should be okay

Once again we’re beinng written off, at best lower mid table and a few fancy us for the drop.
Very similar to the view of us at the beginning of last season.
Not even going to pretend we’re up there with the bigger clubs of the division but we go about our business in a decent way, have a good togetherness in the squad and once again I think we’ll surprise a few.
Tougher league than last season and I’m thoroughly looking forward to it getting underway.

Northfleet is a shithole, but thankfully the ground is only a five minute walk from the station. Also too bad you didn't get to go before they built that ghastly new stand, was a cracking ground before.

Bit harsh to put us in the same bracket as Barrow and Braintree...

Would take a draw at Boreham Wood right now, don’t think it will happen though. Very inexperienced squad we now have which will take a while to get up and running. Maidstone and Maidenhead at home after that are more winnable.

So just to confirm, we're losing 2-1 at Ebbsfleet?

I dont think mrs k will be happy if we do

Mine's away with work for a while so no problems at my end, if your missus is into blokes with broken feet and on long term sick leave then a deal can be struck
