I think Macc effectively won the league in the week when they beat us and Aldershot away from home in the space of four days. Two great results for them in high pressure games, particularly as their victory at Prenton Park was our only home defeat in twelve games (we won the other eleven).

It would have been interesting if they had suffered any injuries, but it is good to see a team that play the game the right way succeed.

Maidenhead are in free fall at the moment if you want an outside bet on relegation shots, dover , dagenham and bromley still to play.

It depends whether the teams below are capible of getting enough points to get above them

Our form of late has just given us a sniff.

Next two games are Woking at home and Guiseley away. If we sit on 64 points after them with 4 games to go, I'll believe that we can nick 7th. Any less though and that'll be it. Makes it interesting anyway.

Absolutely no chance you’ll get in to the playoffs. Even if you won every remaining game.

This also has 0% chance of happening.

They’ve likely already got enough points and would mean us having to win 2 of our remaining 5 games with them losing all 7 of theirs.

Just saw the Sutton highlights. Keeper conveniently 'gives away' a reckless penalty then the captain gets himself sent off and then Doswell smiling at full time. Job done.

*taps nose*

What, so you don't think 76 points will be enough for 7th?

Hope chester return they will be the big boys in that league next season so it will be tough but they should be able to attract some of the salford or brackley players who aint good enough for the national league.

There's no chance Chester are coming back to this level for a long, long time. They're a basket case and there'll be clubs in that league with loads more money than them.

We won’t make play offs but the fact we’re in with any sort of sniff shows how crap this league is. Think we have won about 6-7 games since October.

John askey has done an amazing job, well done macc, he has an eye for a player so they will stay up next season i think.

I think railway blue is right we wont go up... idont mind too much i moan a lot but i like this league with its non segregation , visiting supporters you can actually chat to in the pub before the game , dodgy refs and uncovered stands .

I used to work at St Cath's and I know a lot of Tranny fans and I think the consensus is you are not good enough this season and recruitment hasn't been great, but who knows. I honestly haven't a clue who will win it because it's been the most open I ever remember, Borehamwood anyone? That would be something. The only time they'd get 4-figure crowds would be when the likes of Luton visit.

We're skint and 6 of the board that got us in this mess still haven't resigned.

Good win, good crowd, poor performance. Chester can count themselves a little unlucky not to get a point - although we did our usual grind it out style performance.

3 wins in a row are a massive step towards the title, but we have some tough games now where we will definitely drop some points. I now expect Sutton to bounce back at Fylde and Tranmere have a very winnable set of fixtures. It’s not over yet, although today was a great day.

Went to Macc v Chester with my Chester supporting mate, shite game but Macc just about edged it. Feel a bit sorry for Chester though, as they didn't play awfully by any stretch. Think I've got caught hypothermia though - invest in a fucking roof ffs!

They'll be on 52 points come 5pm on Saturday so they're fine!

Real shame to see Torquay have fallen so far. Yet another proper traditional league club that have just disappeared.

Don't be sad- they didn't give a shit when their lack of preparation/effort/professionalism/pride/duty/empathy at Guisly in 2016 sent us down.

It's not stopped raining here since yesterday's postponement, so I can't see our game going ahead tonight either. As long as we still have games in hand, we'll still believe we are safe, even though there is very little prospect of us winning them.
