More of the same from King's Lynn yesterday. Plus points were that we still created opportunities with a much changed forward line but still very open at the back, I guess time will tell whether we can continue with the 'we will score more than you' policy that has got us back to back promotions but all in all happy with our first outing at this level, albeit the official's mistake for our first will be the thing many take away from the game.

You should get your first win of the season on Tuesday. Maidenhead were very poor yesterday.

Spot on. When the King's Lynn player handled the ball to knock it on the other two were offside. Not unexpected though, as our manager said afterwards he complained about the standard of the officials in probably 36 out of 37 games last season as it was so poor. If it's shit for everyone at least it's consistent.

The refs are diabolical, it was quite weird that the bloke we had yesterday was decent and you just didn't notice him. Usually you get reffed by little hitlers who just make the game about them.

Our squad is OK this season on paper but by all accounts Devonshire's tactics are way off.

Unless you're Danny Searle who thought the ref gave them nothing free kick wise, it was a pretty nothing game and was more akin to a pre season kick about, both sides as expected looked rusty, misplaced passes, scuffed shots and balls running out of play on a pretty constant basis.

Glad footy is back but it's weird.

National League at the end of the day mate, it's mostly like that apart from the odd passage of play.

There was this triangle we did first half and sent Ofusu through I think, that was class. There's potential in this team. Has to be really, it's shit or bust.

Also the width of Sutton's pitch is a disgrace.

The Borough Sports Ground is a former athletics ground as well as Football ground (hence the name). Therefore 3 sides of the ground are a bit distanced from the pitch. The 4th side, the away end, was only squared off in 2014, before then it had the furthest distance between the pitch and the spectator area. The new terrace was built in the gap between the two.

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )

Just about my analysis too, but am apparently a doomsayer for saying so on Shotsweb. Looked like same old, same old to me, we set up to not lose, and hope to pinch a goal. Let’s hope the rust falls off pdq, but a change of formation is vital.

Has he not got you playing like a prime Barca yet?

Not quite, but it's better than the utter dross we've been served up in recent years.

You can see what he's trying to do, press high, play out from the back, have a midfield 3 comfy on the ball, attacking full backs. Basically he copies my set up on football manager. The plagiarising bastard.

We'll see what happens over the season but he's done a decent job so far.

Managers and fans complaining about Officials helped lead to VAR.

Unless officials are being bribed, just get on with the game and suck it up - sometimes goes for you, sometimes against.

Has anyone else seen any figures for number of streaming passes sold for their game? I'm interested to see how good the take up is.

Its also a chance for willy waving, we sold around 2800 apparently. Go!

That's not really accurate. Boreham Wood supporters would've taken up 95% of those.

How wide is the Sutton pitch?

You could have another game going on where the throw-in taker is. It could be hired out whilst the main game is on.

Did Wrexham sell season tickets this year also?

We sold 1,500 and all were given 'free' passes to watch the stream, hopefully by next home game it looks a bit better than what we was pushed out, it basically looked like this in motion...

Most of the posters on Shotsweb thought you shouldn't have lost.
Strange really, considering we should have been out of sight by half time.

Well, Dover did tweet about the ‘thousands already enjoying the game’ when people were kicking off about it not working.

If you think the pitch width is bad you should try watching a game on its surface. Like a trampoline.

If you’re a Barnet supporter you’ve got no place criticising other clubs pitches

It’s really boring saying this but last season was the only time we’ve had problems with our pitch since we moved to the Hive.

Our game at home to Wealdstone tonight is free to air on our Youtube channel as we haven't confirmed our streaming service yet. Hoping to have that sorted for the Sutton game on the 27th.

we havent even entertained the idea of selling season tickets this year yet, most of our fans still havent had their refund from last seasons cancelled games - if they didnt forego it

Missing out on a good bit of income for our game I'd say. We'll have at least 2000 tuning in.
