Pot and Kettle mate. Didn't you nick your ground from Ruislip Manor. We didn't nick your ground, just took over a wasteland left behind by your crooked club's board who trousered 4 million.
No we helped Ruislip Sports and Social Club survive, they were in massive debt and 2 Wealdstone directors and 2 long term supporters bailed that side of the business out. Ruislip Manor F C were not paying anything into the site.

Not a wasteland and who are these board members that trousered 4 million,

Hows the Back to Barnet campaign going, might need to change it to ground share with Wingate.
Your chairman is on the League board in charge of the shit show of this seasons debacle, at least the Dover Chairman resigned.

That wasn’t just not pressing, though, it was just sitting on the edge of your own box for 90 minutes and letting us do as we pleased. It’d be weird against any team, let alone one that’s known to be low on confidence exactly because teams have stopped doing that against us.

I know we picked you off in the end in the game at ML, but you looked a vibrant and interesting team in that game. That today was just miserable.

First 20 minutes we were camped on our 18 yard box but the team certainly pushed further forward from that point on. It was surprising how deep Notts were dropping when we had the ball at the back, the team really struggles with a sustained press as Halifax saw to their advantage last Saturday.

My assumption is that the team was setup with Lewis and Parish as a front 2 with the two wing backs there to mount counter attacks but unfortunately the strikers aren’t as quick as other Stones supporters make out.

Yesterdays game was far more pragmatic from us, I don’t recall us having a shot on target at Meadow Lane either so I’d rather we be more turgid on the eye but defensively resolute than expansive but not seeing the gain and defensively being a sieve.

Blimey, spot- on prediction from yours truly. An enjoyable game, some proper football played. A bit harsh on Altringham, who deserved a share of the points. A couple of quality goals, Joel Nouble once again a real handful. A bit more consistency and we’d be contenders. We’ll see on Tuesday at the Shay.
Have to say that the spectators at Wealdstone look well dodgy. ( see above from Wooderson). If nothing else, those persons should be shoved out of camera shot. Not good “optics”.

Up to 80 people are allowed in the ground so whilst we wouldn’t have broken that (even if 45 of the 80 were players and coaching staff from both sides), the lack of social distancing is as you say not a good optic.

Our photographers that have been to away games have said the number of people at the Vale are neither more or less than they have seen at any other grounds. Smaller ground and not sat in main stands makes it look worse. Optics not ideal.

It's fine, it's all over bar the shouting now. Empty grounds aren't a good optic, we've vaccinated the at risk it's about time we opened up at a quicker pace and just got on with life.

Knowing what a shit hole Wealdstone's ground is, that is probably not far from total capacity.

We were poor but Rowe rightly gave Maidenhead some credit, sussed us out and played well I thought. No complaints from me apart from that fact we changed a winning team after a week off. No need as they’d be rested up anyway

Hang on BeeArmy, didn’t you only post an hour or so ago that Barnet fans don’t care about Wealdstone? Seems unusually aggressive otherwise...

That ‘shit hole’ has seen increases in attendances year on year for the past few years so maybe people are enamoured by its charm?

I didn't know that Wealdstone and Barnet had such a deep hatred of each other.

Although I suppose Barnet did steal their ground.

Yeah, I do a daily shout at a triptych I created of the Lower Mead stadium, Paul Guyett and the Wealdstone Raider while smashing up a CD copy of “We are the Stones” to maintain my Wealdstonephobia.

Important win for us at Wealdstone (thanks for not pressing us). Not the prettiest but just vital to get 3 points - any less and the knives really would have been out for Ardley, not unjustifiably. Got a feeling Mark Ellis could be a big signing.

Need to follow it up with something at Borehamwood tomorrow now. Not sure they will be quite as stand-offish as Wealdstone.

I was a bit apprehensive about the 3-5-2 but, thinking about it, plonking three of Ellis, Turner, Rawlinson and Lacey in front of the goal is pretty formidable and, on Saturday, it seemed to let Rawlinson and Lacey step into midfield a bit. They’re probably both more progressive in their passing than our actual midfield is, so maybe it will work.

Effiong did okay but he clearly looks like someone who does the Wootton role but nowhere near as well rather than a partner for him. I’d be interested in seeing it with Enzio and Rodrigues playing off Wootton in a sort of 3-4-3, much higher up the pitch than they ever get in our other formations.

We were so poor weren't we especially in an attacking sense. Couldn't string anything together for most of the game.

Unreal goal line clearance from Byrne from Ward's chip. Then how Hudlin hasn't buried that rebound with literally noone in front of him from 4 yards is unreal.

Defense stood up well today though they hit the crossbar a couple of times from distance but I dont think you could say they had huge amounts of glaring opportunities.

Hopefully Hyde's most recent set back doesn't keep him out for too long having him fit for more than 4 games at a time would be nice.

Solihull were the team he got injured against last time post christmas as well. Glad we are done with them for the season.

Ugly win but a good win, hopefully we wont be that bad on Tuesday
Just had a look at the Hudlin miss, it's certainly a bad one. He did so well to manufacture the chance for Ward who did everything but score (incredible goal line clearance). Only thing i can say about the miss is it was about knee height on his left foot,

It doesn't beat Bennett's miss vs Aldershot!
