Enjoyable afternoon at the football. Steady 4-1 win against a very poor Maidstone side and good to see scotty Boden get to the 20th league goal of the season landmark

Never been so happy to celebrate a mid table finish after the past few years

We’ve all missed you since August xx

A bizzare second half. Whilst I thought the ref was very slow to issue Sutton some much deserved cards, he also missed an awful challenge on James Dayton which has left him with a broken ankle I believe. However, for Dayton to then throw his boot at the ref in frustration wasn't the best idea and he was sent off after the lineswoman implied to the ref that he threw it at him....................This could've cost us promotion let alone the game, because we had to battle for the final 15mins with ten men.

It was his shin pad. He clearly bangs it down in frustration at the injury and it trampolines off the 3G past the ref. If we were playing on a real pitch he would never have gone.

I'm also fairly sure he was just going to yellow card him as well, but the lineswoman intevened and said he threw it at him...................

Very good win for us, even if it did flatter us I thought. Saw that from 1st of Jan we are top of the table which bodes well for next season. Scott Boden will get a hatful I think so a few more additions and get the crap off the wage bill we should be in a better position to make a go of it

Stupid lad. Rule no.1 of Non-League is don't give them anything to help ref you out of contention.

Many 3G pitches aren't too bad but Sutton's is absolutely awful. Ridiculously fast and very high bounce, so many overhit passes and every long ball goes out of play.

Please win the league Orient. We'll definitely get Edinburgh'd out of the play offs otherwise.

If we had more than one defender I think we could have won today. Orient were very average.
I actually jumped up and cheered when that Orient winner came through.
Fuck off Salford.
Your former player Tom Bolarinwa did rather well as a makeshift right back.

It's always hard playing a bunch of thugs on a surface that should never be used for football. Especially when the ref sends someone off for having his ankle broken. Send Orients regards to your sub keeper for giving us the game and ensuring you don't make the playoffs though, cheers.

We've got Salford last day, we must perform our brotherly duties in that one.

Isn't it the catering that gives them their competitive bottom half budget to buy their way up the league?

Looking forward to visiting the only Brother club that is even shittier than ours. We can walk in there all snooty, looking down our noses and saying stuff like, "we used to be like this once, you know" and suchlike. I might even wear a tiara, coz I'll feel like fucking royalty. :ds:

Must be MASSIVE for you to be above us on GD with less than half the crowds we get and 100 years less league football history so make the most of it while you can.

Aww bless them, I always find it really cute when these newly found clubs come and visit Pools, the 150 fans they bring always look dead excited to be here, don't forget to buy a programme, so you have a memento from the big game!

Halifax 2008's blood Brother is Barrow AFC. Similar sized club, awful stadium and awful place to go in general etc. They also both treat it like their European Cup Final when they play a real Brother.

I could go with that. B2TF and Chipmunx are definitely related.

Somebody posted on Twitter that we'd taken 7 points against the bottom 7 away from home. Unbelievable really. I think only leyton orient and Salford have beaten us in the top 7 yet we're so poor against the weaker sides.

oddly we're pretty much the same as you away to the top 7 - 3wins (Solihull, Wrexham and Eastleigh), 2 draws (you and Orient) and lost to Salford and Harrogate. Home form has let us down though.

We've taken 6 points against the bottom 4 full stop! :fl:

Maidstone did the double over us and we lost 4-0 at Braintree. I'm stunned, absolutely stunned that we did not win the title.

Is it true you'll be hanging a monkey at half time, only I'll be bringing me missus and she doesn't like stuff like that? :fl:

Bernard Mensah's done well to spend the first half of the season on loan at us, promoted and likely L2 Champions, and then the second half at Aldershot.

Can't be too many players who've gone from one extreme to another like that!

just watched the Sutton v Orient highlights;-
what was the ref on when he sent the Orient guy off?
how did the guy who fouled him not get a red?
and is the Sutton goalie going to be sectioned for insanity over the penalty incident?

The ref's only seen Dayton's shinpad go past him as if he'd thrown it at him. Throwing anything in the direction of the ref with intent is a red card offence.

Dayton may not have meant it and I don't think it's a red, but he's definitely given the ref a reason to do something which you can't do in this league.

Good old Doswell still pulling strings? Apparently the keeper who started the game was performing heroics and had Sutton in with a chance of getting something from the game. Ended up getting hooked at half-time for a more 'experienced' keeper, if you know what I mean...*taps nose*

He didn't really need to play his part in such an obvious manner, i.e. suddenly start ball juggling in the last minute of the game with 2 Orient players sprinting towards him, but with the playoffs looming I guess you can never be too careful. That ought to do it for another season for Sutton. Phew.
