Barrow are going up whose going with them? Boreham Wood look the better of the rest for me.

I can guarantee you that you don’t know the ins and outs surrounding the move to the Hive, so while your judgement on the chairman is absolutely valid the move to the Hive is not one of them.

As I said our drainage is blocked. I’m not sure how or why that happened (or was allowed to happen - I suspect the chairman cut corners on the grounds keeping OR we had it booked out too often over there summer to leave enough time to do any necessary work) and do here we are in this situation.

It’s just shit. But rationally we can’t get any more annoyed at this as we did earlier this season, as there’s nothing that can be done now.

Absolutely.
Annoying though unlike Braintree we had the means to avoid this happening and the chairman took the cheap option, again.

The question is where the hell do we go from here with two WSL teams also playing on the pitch?

I honestly can't see all three teams finding the space this season to fulfil all their fixtures at THL.

There is a rule in place that games get switched away after a certain number of postponements, but with several fixtures backlogged now we may need to agree an alternative home ground with the league if they will allow.

Massive win. 12 minutes of injury time played. Hope the Dover lad who was stretchered off is ok.

Really have no idea. Any option is going to cost the club substantial money which will probably give TK an allergic reaction, so who knows? I genuinely think if we could easily ship the other teams out off the pitch easily we would’ve done it already.

Luckily we have no shortage of other teams around us if needed, but again then the issue of TK’s poor standing in the football community rears it’s head again. Very few allies left for him to approach.

Spurs can go back to the chavs, and London Bees can switch their games to Edgware/Hendon on the 3G

You’d think so but who knows what the cost implications would be for cancelling the Spurs contract? Obviously have no idea on what the situation is there but I am fairly certain that any money we made from it is already spent/ringfenced.

As for London Bees, it’s a sound idea... not sure what the rulings of the league are for stadium switches like that.

There's also the two Varsity games, and the Ghanaian independence day game (which was confirmed only last week!). The amount of football that TK has arranged to take place at THL is ludicrous.

Yeah those will have to be moved somewhere else unfortunately.

We made hard work of that - mainly due to the wind - but we could have been 3/4 or 5 up at half time playing with the wind - yet went it at 0-0.
2nd half we did what we usually do and played better against the wind.
The game was held up for about 10 mins when Lokko got stretchered off after an accidental clash with his own keeper - pretty sure he's gone to hospital as an ambulance arrived shortly afterwards. Hopefully just a precaution though.
The goal came after Scott Quigley out paced and out thought the defence cutting in from the left, his cross shot was well saved by the Dover keeper, but Dior Angus scored from 6 yards out at the far post. Dover hardly threatened even with the wind, although they hit the top of the bar with about 5 mins left.
Huge result especially with the fiasco at Barnet....

For the first time, I don't see Barrow losing this now. The chasing pack are dog turd.

I’d really fancy us in the play-offs, we’ve just got to make sure that we do enough to actually get there.

If there’s any team capable of winning a one off game it’ll be you guys.

Wrexham, for 45 mins on the opening day, are probably the best team I've seen us play this season.

Dover keeper had a strange game tonight - made 4/5 great saves, but couldn't kick the ball without going for a throw, flapped and missed the ball on numerous occasions, and knocked out his team mate. Proper non-league keeper.

yeah made some great saves - but his kicking was awful - he barely made the half way line when kicking with the wind several times in the 2nd half.
I would add though that as he's only 20 he'll probably have a good future in the game once he sorts the kicking out.
I'm guessing he was wearing the horrible yellow goalkeeping kit because he's an Aussie....

we like to do our bit and spur the smaller teams on to better themselves, yet again our mission for the season is complete :fish:

Manager interview last night said Lokko was knocked out& has concussion. They were waiting til morning to see if he could travel back.

The keeper’s kicking was fine in the home game v Barrow, perhaps it was too windy for him!

Hess thought we sat back too much playing for the draw
Redbank was there. he posted this on our forum
i'm sure the Barrow fans don't think we deserved a point:)

Unlucky not to get a point tonight, We struggled against them in the first half as the conditions were against us, but more than matched them in the second half with the wind behind us, where we had chances to score, but same issue all season , have no goal scorer up front not the best game to judge the leaders on,as the wind play a big part ,but tonight they looked nothing special , and travelled home feeling we dropped at least a point

yeah i read that on your forum - I think he had rose tinted glasses on - or beer goggles... you nearly stole a point when the shot hit the top of the bar, but if it wasn't for your goalie it could have been a heavy defeat.
The difference between the teams was that Barrow played against the wind better than Dover did against the wind - Barrow had more chances in the 1st 5 mins of the 2nd half (against the wind) than Dover did in the whole of the 1st half.

Haha, we were knocking on the door for 90 mins - apart from a few Dover corners in a row, I'm not sure it was in our half for more than 30 seconds at a time.

The comments on our forum are more along the lines of "the most one-sided 1-0 you'll ever see"...
