Any watching that game will notice we have a goal keeper who is useless with the ball in the 6yard box... Daggers must of laughed at us when we took him.

Not sure what the problem Urban has with Sweeny... If he cuts out the cryuff turns and plays it simple he is solid presence. I still think we at Barnet have a very poor midfield and yet have managed 28points. This league with orient and Salford as exceptions is rubbish.

We have had to rebuild the team and have 5-6 first team unavailable. If we can get some back playing a playoff place is well within our capabilities.

Are you genuinely saying that you think Cousins is more of a liability than Sweeney?! You must be having a laugh or on a wind up, that’s a ridiculous thing to say. Have you forgotten how many matches Cousins has kept us in with stunning saves, or how many points Sweeney has lost is a stupid red card, showboating Cryuff turns or just empty-headed passing?

Sweeney is the type of player who will stupidly lose the ball and then make a big-standard tackle in front of the West Stand that makes him seem like some kind of cult hero. He’s got uses as a squad player as he is tall and can mop up in the air but he does have multiple flaws as a footballer at this level.

Only watched the first half, but the only compliment I can give either side, and it's a back handed one at that, was that it was a better game than Braintree vs Solihull.

Last season we won 4 in 30 games and still somehow stayed up

Mainly because we were somehow worse and won 3 in 30. Was only fitting that we played out a comical 4-4 draw in January.

Cousins is a fantastic shot stopper but can’t command his box, rarely comes for crosses etc. He only got player of the year for us last season as the better players had already left. Given Justham’s form for us so far this season we actually have a better keeper now.

Sweeney remains the worst opposition player I’ve had the displeasure of watching this season. An utter carthorse.

I'll take a 3-1 away win any time, even at stupid o'clock on a Sunday evening.

I rarely agree with Urban but from what I've seen of him, I'd say that's a pretty accurate description of Sweeney.

How in the name of holy fuck is Martin Allen still in charge of Chesterfield?

I'm not having them as a Proper Club anymore. They've not won in about 400 matches now and he's still there. They could go DOWN. DOWN I tell you. And he's seemingly under no pressure whatsoever.

How are there not protests and sheer mutiny going on there? A Proper Club's fans would be causing hell there demanding change. What's the real story behind it all? I know the chairman is his dad but even then you'd still expect him to be fired.

Are they really related? Martin's originally from Reading and Wikipedia say Dave is Sheffield-based but they don't say where he was born. I couldn't find any confirmation elsewhere of them being father and son.

Anyway, I imagine Martin hasn't been fired yet because most of their winless run has been draws and they have a good defence (22 goals conceded, same as 5th place Harrogate) which suggest that elusive next win will come sooner rather than later, and Dave will give it at least another few games to see if they can build on it to put together a winning run before coming to a decision. Not that you can trust him to get it right, he's rarely made the right decisions in his career as chairman so far (or if he has, it's come far too late, like sacking Chris Turner after he'd already taken Sheffield Wednesday down to the third tier and took them to their second lowest finish in their history).

Here is Dave Allen in his younger days when he was pregnant with Martin.

Interesting to see the Orient highlights being filmed from somewhere near the moon.

I would say it’s more likely he hasn’t been sacked yet due to them not wanting to pay up his hefty (I’m guessing) contract.

And it would be an awkward conversation over the family Christmas dinner.

How’s Reynolds getting on with you lot?

I think its fair to say we have not seen a fit Reynolds. Only played in the last 3 or 4 games and I thought he was terrible. Guess that's his injury and lack of match play. Not sure what type of player to expect. He looks like he's improving. I'm more disappointed in Che Alexander... Very one footed very little attacking threat.

Yesterday was definitely Reynold’s best game for us so far.
I echo Stan’s comment on Cheye Alexander, he looks pretty limited compared to some of our previous right-backs.
