After all I've heard that even drawing 2-2 after going down to 10 men whilst already being 2-0 up is cause for an open topped bus style celebration in some Derbyshire towns.

Broken leg, dislocated ankle seems to be the word. No ligament damage should mean it’s 6 months rather than 12 though. We will struggle to replace his goals, and Rowes last hurrah signing Quigley looks to be one of the worst bits of business we’ve done, and that’s saying something

We have hit the self destruct button and to an extent can only blame ourselves as we’ve chucked away 18 points away from the lead, been pegged back from 2-0 up 3 times, conceded in 5 separate games in the 95-99th minute and been 2-0 in two games and had someone sent off stupidly but we’ve also had some fucking sour luck with injuries all season. It was a running joke on here I know but it’s been carnage

What's happened to Manny then? Is it another muscle injury or impact one?

Torn his calf but we’d been managing it for weeks so sounded like it was a ticking time bomb. He was going off every week after 60 odd mins with cramp and barely training to stop it flaring up.

Agree he is a class above, a really good player but just can’t get fit

Yeah that's why in the end we sold him to you. From what I gather all we would have been willing to offer was an incentive based deal based on appearances etc as he couldn't ever get a run of games but was clearly never going to accept that. Unfortunately just one of those things a club has to factor in with him is at least a third of the games he won't be available for in any given season.

He can’t run. He can’t pass. He can’t shoot. He can’t hold it up. He can’t head it.

He’s fucking useless.

Our season absolutely finished btw, our luck (lack of) has been an absolute joke this year, from the sheer amount of injuries (always long term) to our manager dropping his kegs on the masseuse…. All just points to it not being our year. Fucking annoying mind cos with our strongest XI available all year we’d have had an unbelievable chance of winning it. We simply don’t have the quality of player available anymore and won’t for the foreseeable to compete with the top teams and realistically the best we can hope for would be to cling on to a play off spot

Also, the referee in that game against Solihull… the WORST I have ever seen. Missed a two footed lunge tackle from about 3 yards away and waved play on without even checking on the player for a good 30 / 40 seconds whilst the game continued…. Turned out he’d had his leg broken. We should have the same level referee as those in league 2 at this level cos ones we get aren’t fit for a Sunday morning
