The first part of your post is bollocks. We're not really like that.

The second part of your post is also bollocks - he won't have to dismantle him as Caprice will be out of position in your half.

I still haven't a clue why we signed him (ignoring after the Maidstone game everybody was gushing over him...) and Widdowson.

I'd line up:

Bonne
McAnuff Boco Dayton
Clay Lawless
Lee Elokobi Coulson Judd
Sargeant

I doubt we will. Still not a fan of either goalkeeping option. I actually fancy us to nick something tomorrow and I still reckon come the end of the season we'll be pushing a play off spot.

Steve Davis is going to have to change his mentality as well as the players, we can't go into every game against the smaller clubs in this league expecting to push high up the pitch and then out pass, shoot and score them - Which was why we lost 6-1 on Tuesday, it had nothing to do with the pitch and if it did - You need to adapt to the surroundings and conditions which weren't taken into consideration at all.

I don't mind Caprice, typical Non League fall back - Brilliant going forward and his crossing is quite good, but not so good defensively. I've been saying it all pre-season, but Caprice and Widdowson's 1v1 defending is poor. But sadly we had to gamble on a few signings with no scouting system in place, some will pay off but others won't - Which is why I'll be happy with midtable this year, the football club, players and fans still have much to learn the next 12-18 months. We still don't have a CEO yet - But you have to remember we've only had new owners for 7 weeks.

Woking are worth a punt in the bookies IMO, as we'll probably be down as favourites. Impressed with their result on Tuesday night as Eastleigh couldn't have been easy.

We've sold 675 tickets, I reckon we'll take 800 down there.

Shift work, and my shifts always seem to fall in a way that stops me going. At this rate I won't see a game in August though.

Ah, I know that feeling! Hopefully when I go back to my old job, I'll be getting most weekends off.

Norwood available again, almost certain to be picked, might make a difference. Think we'll get something out of the trip to Eastleigh, but probably not the win required to spark up our season.

Why do I always seem to be working when we play Wrexham? They were the side I was most excited to see us play when we got promoted, but tomorrow will be the 4th time I've been unable to go to a match between us.
is this cos we're so MASSIVE?

Tough to read into Maidstone, a few mins away from beating Maidenhead on opening day (who have shown good form since) and then three tough matches against teams you fancy to be up there at the end of the season in Ebbsfleet, Orient and Aldershot..

Think I would take a draw, especially how we have played so far.. we'll probably set up 4-4-2 and look to be compact and make it as boring as possible again.

They are definitely trying to away fixture us out of it. Season is barely 2 weeks old and we've travelled about 100,000 miles already.

We've already done Tranmere and Barrow away IN THE SAME WEEK. Fair play to the National League tbh, they've upped their game in weeding out the 'unpopular' part-timers this season.

No chance. Chester are one of the worst sides in this division. Lovely set up mind.

It is lovely. If you love souless boxy 1990s subbuteo stadiums with no atmosphere nestled in between retail parks.

The city is very nice. But it's likely any football visitor will miss that completely.

I agree- I'm surprised a club that has spent most of its history in the Football League would settle for a stadium that demonstrates such modest ambition. Then again, I feel Chester have reached their limits on the fan owned model. :ds:

Wonder which Maidstone will turn up today. The Maidstone who fought and caused Aldershot so much disappointment, or the Maidstone who roll over and let visitors tickle their tummy and score several goals, despite the undoubted huge advantage of a 3G pitch.

Bored of this season already. Still not received my season ticket, mediocre performances, 3 out of 4 games with no Tranmere goals, flaky Cowsheds forum, Alabi... the list goes on. Feeling the MALAISE.

2-0 Eastleigh. Dont care.

I spoke to some Tranmere mates in Rock Ferry on Thursday and they were livid with me because they'd signed James Alabi. Aren't you happy with him? I know he can't jump or run, but he still managed to score 17 league goals in a piss poor Chester team last season. Did you not see him play before coveting him?

You need to take a course on time management

We were asset-stripped by a company called Morrison Shand. A similar thing is happening at Torquay.

No Padraig Amond in the squad and no mention of injury or illness, must of got his wish of a move.

Whatever Maidstone you give us, we aren't going to be scoring several goals against you. That I can almost guarantee. Although Alex Reid starting gives us a bit of hope for scoring more than none.

Louis John makes it 1-0 at Chester for Sutton. 6 goals scored by Sutton by 6 different players by top of the league Sutton

Been away on holiday for a week, and come back to find three of our players are out of the squad and can only name four on the bench! What's happened???
Also, Dover seem to be struggling for players - former Welling manager Louie Fazakerley appears to be playing in their midfield!

Dover will win by one goal.

Main keeper off injured in the warmup and replaced by someone who I think is probably parks standard, now 2-1 down to a team that hasn't won a game this season and a sending off is imminent. Bar that, things going well for us down at Maidenheadstone.
