Also brilliant wins for Guiseley, Boreham Wood and Bromley. There is a revolution coming. Down with the Football League Brotherhood. Oh and Eastleigh won as well

Unbeaten away and yet to concede a goal. Don't tell Billy, "Don't Be A Hero", he can't help it. :bdick:

Tarpey has only ever scored once against us, for Hampton back in 2010 or 11 I think. He's shit. ;)

Pressure is on now for Craig Harrison, can talk a good game but hasn't backed any of it up on the pitch yet, 2 points from 15 is a miserable return, gotta turn this round sharpish.

Ref set the tone booking 3 of our defenders in the first 20 mins for standard fouls.. we were always gonna sent someone off then.

We were thoroughly outplayed by The Stones at 11v11 and were very lucky to only be 2-1 down, Piggott and Sam-Yorke caused problems and #27? was full of tricks.. having said that I thought Dibble looked at fault for both goals, half committing to come out for a free kick into the box then left stranded; and whether unsighted but the ball just flies past him in the centre of goal for the 2nd. Although he made some good saves second half, including the penno.

As for the crazy minute.. it was close to call, I thought it looked like Manny got the ball but has gone through the man first maybe.. it could have gone either way but if he's giving the pen then he has to send him off. Then Carrington argues with the ref and he's sent off too for a second booking.

We then defended very well with 9 men and still managed to create the odd half chance from set pieces.

Poor ref with all the bookings and free kicks being given. I can imagine Keates is going to point to the sendings off but we were mostly dominated before that and Maidstone deserved the win.

Good atmosphere at The Gallagher too

Fair report. Maidstone are coming together, but really should have killed it off after the double sending off. Hines looks a really good signing.

Rubbish we are.

Some good signings over the summer, but Keates is looking very much like the rookie manager he is at the moment. Fortunately he's got time to improve and sort shit out with that 20 year contract, although I'd prefer that to start against Woking next Saturday please.

Sounds like Dibble isn't quite as good as his dad in goal.

We love playing Torquay.
All over them 1st 20 minutes, hit the bar, scored, hit the post. Corner after corner with our usual lack of profiting from them then give them a goal on the break and then a second from a corner.
Second half we barely touched the ball until the last ten minutes when we suddenly seemed to realise that we were actually losing and needed to score at least two to win and duly obliged.
Unbelievable Jeff!

We've got good players who should be doing a lot better than they are, got to be looking at the management at the moment and big improvements are needed. Alex Reid is a gem though, he seems like the only ray of hope at the moment. I'm not sure Boden will ever score, he spends most of his time nowhere near the box.

Reid was very good yeah, has a good touch and runs all day. Nothing really came off for Boden..

For the first time mid way through the second half we changed from 4-4-2.. Akil Wright came on and it was a midfield 3 of Wedgbury, Carrington and Wright with Kelly behind the fromt two.
But the red card madness meant that soon had to be scrapped. Be interesting to see what Keates does now after trying that, especially with his favourite Carrington suspended

I thought you were crazy appointing someone from Welsh football when you've just lost your football league status. You'd have been better off getting Moore back. At least he knows the leagues and probably what type of players you need.

Your club seems to always appoint the wrong managers, then stick with them for too long.

I think you should buck the trend and admit the mistake and make the change now. You do not want to be stuck in that cesspit of a league for more than a season.

We lost that in the first half, with a truly abysmal performance.

Second half we were better and Alexander scored a screamer (which was about the only thing we did right in the game), but overall we deserved to lose. Hopefully that will be a wake up call that we cant expect to turn up and win every game.

Keates reverting to the diamond he played last season then. Didn't Darlington also play that way when he was our temporary manager? I'd rather we tried 433, but at least it brings Kelly into a position where he can influence the game.

Behave yourself, sacking a manager after 5 games, he's under pressure not even close to being sacked.

It was revealed after the game that Amond had made himself 'unavailable for selection', the fucking arse.

Love the way that whenever Wrexham v Woking comes around it's always at a time when both teams are awful.

Another relegated side dispatched with relative ease. At no stage did I think Hartlepool would score and we should have had four or five.

We saved our football league status by sacking an out of depth manager after 5 or 6 games. If we'd stuck with him we'd have been gone by Christmas.

There's zero excuse for the results you are getting with the budget and squad you have compared to other teams in that league. before you know it you'll be 20 points adrift of the promotion places and you'll be confined to another season down there. If you want out at the first attempt you have to act quickly imo.

Hard to say what is going on with us at the minute - we looked absolutely mustard in pre-season and against Woking, but we've got some real issues. Can't score, bizarre team selections that included a bench with a GK and FOUR strikers today (no defenders, no midfielders - guess where we got injuries!) and a worrying increase in restless locals.

Far too early to give up but Mellon is already under pressure to turn it around. For what it's worth, I have full faith that he will but our results do not reflect those of champions at the minute. A really poor start.

Top of the league and we're having a laugh . Equaled the number of away wins from last season already. Super stuff

Isn't that ever the case with Wrexham in the last few years.
