Wealdstone and Yeovil clearly didn't get the early kick off memo, couple of interesting looking games, everyone from 2nd down looking for Bromley to get one over Sutton who are looking solid albeit not playing spectacular?

Our away form for a team in 2nd is cack really, far too many draws and we don't often score more than one goal away, Daggers home form is on par with ours away so it's going to be a humdinger of a game, 0-0 anyone?

Got to fancy us to hold on to our 2-0 aggregate lead in this one.

Tough one to call away at Bromley especially as we played them only recently, coming back from 2-1 down on 84 minutes to win 3-2. Local derby as well, so that adds another element to it.

As I said in the other thread, Sarll was very downcast and critical of his side in Saturday’s post match interview. Sounds like Murphy will be out too. Add the psychological edge of the weekend’s pretty comfortable victory and Yeovil’s lengthy list which I presume means they won’t be able to rotate (I think we might bring 3/4 fresh legs in), and we have to be looking to win this.

Need to win this one really to keep up with the pack.

Our next 4 games are Aldershot, Weymouth, Eastleigh & Kings Lynn - need to be winning 3 of those if not all 4.

Now I've said that we will probably lose tomorrow.

I can see Turner, Kelly-Evans, Rodrigues and one of Sam/Knowles all coming in to start. I’d still like to see this three at the back system but with Enzio (as much as he’s been great at rwb) and Rodrigues playing right up top with Wootton.

Our home form is poor but the last 4-5 games have probably been the most accomplished we have played in a run of games all season. We are far from the finished article but we are just starting to eradicate some of the stupidness from our play earlier in the season.

I think the result of this depends firmly on whether some of our self-isolating players are back and what match condition they will be in having not trained properly for over a week.

All season we have been a good 7-10 points off the play offs and baulked every time there has been an opportunity to close the gap, so I'm fully expecting a Hartlepool win to continue that trend. If we can nab a win, then I'll suddenly view the table with a bit more intrigue.

Yep, losing Murphy is probably the final nail in our play off coffin.

Absolutely we need to win at least 3 of these, you're right. Good to get somewhat back on track last game. It would be handy to bunny hop these 3 or 4 teams above us we've got games in hand on and really try and nestle ourselves in the playoff hunt

Woking have made a couple of signings ahead of tonight's game so it will be interesting to see if they're chucked straight into their starting XI. We played 4 at the back on Saturday and that didn't go to plan which in turn makes me think we'll revert to a back 3 tonight. If Connor Smith is fit, he simply has to start, just to offer some protection in midfield for the defence.

Tonight’s the sort of game that we have to win if we’re realistic about gatecrashing the play offs. We’ve played well last 2 games but only picked up 1 point, so would be good to get back to winning ways but tonight will be tough, and I’m expecting a 2-1 win to Chesterfield.

Hope you’ll be able to cope with the plastic pitch....

Shots home to Chesterfield. An old-school div.4 match, now playing in the basement. Shots are actually getting their act together, have been out of luck last 2 matches. Need “strikers” to start striking, and our youthful keeper to play a steady game. Difficult to predict, and I’m crap at it anyway, but another draw seems likeliest, 2-2 , so hope at least won’t be dull.
Looking forward to the match coverage, getting better every week.

Have you still got that keeper from the reverse fixture? He was very good. It was the one most sided 0-0 i think i've ever seen. We've played much much worse and beat teams 2/3-0 since then!

No, he’s gone back to ‘boro. Unless Walker has got over the COVID, we’ll have the youth team keeper in goal again.

He’s still with us but so far has contributed a whole 22 mins before getting crocked. I saw him about a month ago and he still looks 5 stone overweight.

Lacey probably out meaning another shuffle to the backline. Maybe Turner in.
Other than that not expecting too many changes to Saturdays team, Roberts and Knight might be a couple if weeks off now.

Midweek off boy did we need it. Hoping for not too much damage tonight. Draws are always good.

Frantic first 25 at Aldershot, been a good game to watch so far!

We’ve just gone 1-0 up with Alex Whittle getting his first goal after another piece of brilliant play from Jack Clarke. Kids an absolute gem of a player and come out of nowhere!

Gerrin Pools 1-0, first shot on target.

Daggers been the more dangerous, wasted several good chances so far.

This is us all over, stats say we get into opponents box more than most but are lowest scorers in league. Not being able to defend don’t help.

Can’t take set pieces and can’t defend them either. Not a great combination in this league.

Ardley out.

He hasn't got a bloody clue and he'll cost us another season in this bloody awful division.

I think you'd call that a bit of a snatch and grab..... Get a goal and see it out for the remainder. You'll take it away from home though
