Hartlepool ruin my acca for the 347th time. They could have Guardiola in charge and they'd still be doing things like this. If they were 2-0 up with 1 minute left they'd only draw 2-2.

Yet I still go back to them, like a Brother should.

Honourable but foolish

Could have Guardiola in charge and he’d still struggle to get this lot doing their basic jobs.

Boreham Wood are decent and playing loads better than us but we’re just suicidal in everything we do, miss placed passes, touch like elephants.

We are the new Wrexham.

The last opposition player I remember scoring a hat-trick at the Racecourse was Jon Shaw of Gateshead in 2011.

Missed some sitters at the end. A draw isn't much use to us, but probably a fair result.

Worst thing about today is that we’re going to sack Currie for this when it’s the players who need sacking. We have the perfect opportunity to let him learn, yet we’ll fuck this up just like we fuck everything else over.

Football is so depressing.

Rubbish for 70 minutes then woke up and should’ve won it, hopefully Challinor learned some things today, cos we looked abysmal.

I’d start by dropping Mafuta and one of Kerr/Raynes and Toure needs to be the first name on the team sheet going forward

Has Mafuta gone to shit then as he looked decent last I saw of him

Never liked Kerr or Raynes that much really, and they’re too cumbersome together. Taking Raynes off after 55 mins today might tell you what DC reckons. Cunningham should be playing every week but I’d play him with Raynes not Kerr.

I'd have taken a draw at the start. Least we've shown we can score from open play, that's got to be the positive from today.

2-1 win against a Barnet side who play pretty football, but who have no idea how to score - the 1 they got was from an error from out right back (who we played in central defence) who gifted the ball to a Barnet player 6 yards from goal.
Could and should have been out of sight by that point - but it's another 3 points. Goals from Kay and John Rooney - the Rooney goal was absolute filth - worth winning any game.
Other results have gone our way and we are now 3 points clear of everyone but Bromley - and with a game in hand - happy days :)

The Rooney goal was magnificent.
You’ve accurately described us to a tee.

I think Mafuta has been a decent signing, but recently he's been poor, I'd prefer to see both Hawkes and Holohan playing in midfield alongside Featherstone, players with energy and movement in midfield, we looked so pedestrian.

Raynes took a knock late in the first half and was clearly struggling going into the start of the second, I like Cunningham and if everyone was fit would rather have him start next to Raynes instead of Kerr who has been a big disappointment.

Can't grumble I supposed being 2-0 down and salvaging a draw, Boreham Wood are very good and look like a playoff side to me, Tshimanga looks too good for this league, a lot like the other Boreham Wood player who ended up at Lincoln.

Thought we were going to go on to hammer Barnet but Loach made some great saves and a few other chances flew wide. Joel Dixon, by contrast, probably had his easiest game for Barrow - nothing he could do with the goal, but wasn't really troubled at any point.

What a strike from Rooney though! I wouldn't have cared if we released him in the summer but he's somehow transformed into one of the best players in this league.

Maidenhead would struggle in the Isthmian playing like this.

Currie tells the Barnet fans at the end of the game that half the players don't want to play for the club and there is no money available to get anyone else in. Answer is simple, tell those players to fuck off and play the youth players, and who actually show passion and commitment. Bottom line is that our Chairman hasn't got a clue about Football but is a great business man. The Hive turns over 8-10 million a year but nothing properly goes to the Football side of things, and when something does, it is spent on wrong sort of players. Nearly a year now we have needed a striker to replace Akinde, but only one brought in and(Pavey) and even he wasn't really the sort of player we wanted. The club is aimless and hopeless and has no direction.

Delighted to get back to back wins, match was easier than score suggests, Chorley well on top throughout, even missed another penalty, on to Bartow now on Tuesday.

The post match interview is something else. I don't think I've heard a manager express such revulsion towards his squad before. Currie literally hates these players.

It's so sad it's almost funny. I feel sorry for Currie and the fan who accused him of not caring needs to have a word with himself. Having said that, some of his decisions have been poor and if he really wants to give the squad a kick up the backside he should drop Reynolds as captain which, let's be honest, he should have done months ago.

When he tries he's excellent. He's just got a habit of downing tools. He must be happy at Barrow this season, it's about time he knuckled down and made a go at a club.

If Currie is to become a successful manager, he needs to learn that the constant public criticism of his players is not going to help.

If players don’t want to play for him or the club, don’t pick them. If players are not prepared to put their bodies on the line, don’t pick them.

I appreciate we cannot go out and sign anyone but we have a huge squad and an academy. I suggest he starts to use them, even if that means putting square pegs in round holes.

He also needs to take advice or learn from experienced professionals (not just from the football world) about what it takes to become a successful leader because his public words are quite possibly contributing to the players not wanting to put the effort in.

I want to see Currie go to war with this shower. Let’s see how far he wants to take it - Reynolds is a disgrace. Let them have it - they know they’re not wanted but have chosen to stay, give 50% effort and claim their wages. Fine - but don’t make it nice for them.

To be honest, the story of his past two seasons here has been to start well, do nothing for months on end, and then play well for a month to win a new contract. This season, however, he's dictating games and scoring goals and it's November!

Apparently so, as well as Ex Wrexham and current president of the United Soccer League Jake Edwards.

We were a league above them and they humped us 4-1 on tv. It's brilliant being a Wrexham fan.
Like The Shaymen, Wrexham have mostly been shit too. That's why you're one of our most frequent opponents over the past 100 years. It's not coincidence. :ds:

Reynolds was made captain by Currie. I suspect Reynolds is not one of those not trying. Sweeney on the other hand...

We’re getting found out - if you give us time and the 60% possession that we want then we’re really good, but press us and we don’t have a plan b. It’s a real worry for me with Ardley, albeit missing our best midfielder/only one with a bit of energy isn’t helping.
