Slump stopped hopefully. Agreed with Macc fans, Saturday is looking huge. Looking at the cheapest way of getting there

The bleak midwinter is nearly over and we're still well in touch of the playoff places. A good point today, and if we're within 10 points of 7th come February I reckon we could go on a run and make the playoffs

Fucking hell, today I have witnessed further proof that this truly is the pissiest poorest Conference in living memory. How the fuck are Mickey Mouse Macclesfield top. Spawny, bang average set of fuckers that have ever topped this league. :bdick:

Bottom 4 are virtually gone, let's be honest. I don't think there's a team above that line poor enough to go down.

If you keep winning we cannot touch you mate .

As for us 3-0, 4-0,3-1 and 4-1 wins in our last 4 more then happy with that. Fylde came to compress play today playing a high back line looking to pressure the ball and play an offside trap ( ages since ive seen one of them) . First 2 came from shoddily defended set pieces then connor took over making it 3 in 2 games at a combined distance of about 65 yards .... he looks on fire at the moment .

Rowe is as sharp as hell hitting the bar and pushing one just wide , he will score bags more goals this season . As for fyldes keeper i think he put kenny everetts brotherly love hands on to celebrate coming to merseyside he didnt catch a thing all first half...

Finally wouldnt be tranmere without our usual 2 moans, the ref had a good game overall however a few fylde players should have been booked for persistant offences and it has now been 48 games by my reckoning in all tournements since we were awarded a penalty ( foul on cook was borderline penalty today) , this must be closing in on some kind of record .

We won't keep winning though, squads far too small. Plus you win ur game in hand and the gap is just 3 points.

First half we were ok, probably the better team for around 20 minutes, second half was dreadful, so demotivating for us fans there, we offered fuck all

lost 6 of the last 7 in all competitions and drawn the other game, thankfully we won a few games earlier in the season or we may be in a bit of trouble.

Thought we were decent without getting out of second gear. Fylde were a decent side, and will give us a very tough test in the NYD game at their place, looking forward to that! Only difference between the two sides today was that we finished our chances.

I thought Rowe was outstanding. He could have had a hat-trick today with a bit more luck, all from efforts from outside the eighteen yard box. He would be lethal in a really good team at this level.

We weren't at our best, but we are ruthless in front of goal at the moment. I think we will have to be better to win the return fixture on New Year's Day.

Hopefully Macc v Sutton will end in a draw.

It can only be that Challinor has been there years as to why he is still in a job this season to be honest, they've got some quality players and should be in the playoffs.

I thought Fylde were a very good side today, and the scoreline absolutely flattered us. They were neat, expansive and quick, and I'd consider ourselves fortunate to get the points.

I don't know what to make of our performance... we were a long way from our best, but got goals when we needed them and punished their errors. 4-1 when we're off the boil a bit? I'll take that I suppose.

We’ve won 2 in 15 now. Can’t see where the next win is coming from but you would hope we already have enough points.

First Tranmere game for me in a couple of months as I've been out of the country.
Thought Ritchie Sutton was the difference between the 2 sides 1st half with the 2 goals, a clearance off the line and throwing his body to block a couple of shots. Wonderful team play for the 3rd goal and another screamer from Jennings to wrap the afternoon up.
Despite the scoreline I thought Fylde were quite decent with Tunicliffe and Smith looking good prospects.

Agree about Fylde being a decent side and with their 3 games in hand they’re more likely to finish closer to the playoffs than bottom 4 in my eyes.

Similarity Barrow are too good at gamesmanship to allow themselves to slip into a relegation battle, especially given how dreadful all those sides are down there.

As for us, we didn’t need to get out of second gear today. 4 good finishes from about 12 shots meant we could completely take or foot off the gas and rest a few players for this busy schedule.

With every game our run continues it’ll add doubt to Macclesfield / Sutton etc and edge is closer to Mr YouTube aka Ben Tollitt coming back. Would not be surprised to see the top 2 end up being us and Aldershot.

Sounded like we out-gamesmanshipped them today though. Pearson went off injured late on, and the general consensus is that if he's out for a period of time then we are FINISHED.

Two early goals today then Chester go down to ten. We stopped pushing forwards and just sat back for the rest of the game. Just the odd break away but Fondop had an absolute stinker today and topped off his miserable afternoon by missing a tap in from five yards!
At least we got the three points and a clean sheet.
Tranmere fans should not be concerned for Saturday :D

Another season another 3 points at home to Woking. They looked half decent for 20 mins and would have been a different game if Effiong (who looked decent) had scored when he hit the post.
After that we were in total control, a lovely second goal and the third was the icing on the cake.
I thought Woking weren't as bad as last season and will be tough at Kingfield on NYD.
Only 4 off the top now but Tranmere will still win at a canter.

We're now somehow only 3 points off the playoffs. The fucking state of this league.

Big Oppotunity now for Macclesfield and Askey to win the league now..............

Whilst i try not to agree with B2TF as a general rule it is an indicator of how shite this division is that they are top. Macclesfield just about edged the game but you can't help but feel that had we gone in HT leading and not suffered the cruel deflection we may have gone on to nick a point. We are a bang average side that ran them close and you can see how any side that doesn't just sit back and admire their passing (and one with a bit of height) will have a chance of getting something. Some good players on show but they are very wasteful in the final third due to a desire to be the star player of the day. Just because we have a near 7ft giant up front we are accused of anti football yet they announced the centre half tasked with shackling him as man of the match. NYD will be interesting if we survive the long trek to Europe next Saturday.

Macc looked rank average at our place. It's a piss poor league this year, as evidenced by our own league position.

A bit more sense. We struggle all day long against direct teams with a big burly front man. You were pretty tough to break down to be fair and if you'd been more disciplined with this in the second half you might have got the point you came for.

Fully agree we're very wasteful, but wouldn't say it's down to everyone wanting to be star man, we just lack a ruthless front man.

I wouldn't have give Lowe MoM, Whitehead was for me. Quite looking forward to the return game next week, it sounds like you lot think you can get something from it so hopefully will be more expansive and give us more chance to use the space that leaves.

And there's others who have said we're by far the best side they have seen this season. I saw a comment on the Barrow forum saying we're the best side they've seen in the last few years in fact. Horses for courses.
