Having been a victim of Halifaxs pitch last season myself and having to take in a game at Farsley Celtic instead, I feel their pain.

Ebbsfleet's secretary seems to be saying different

''We needed that game called off like a hole in the head, the posts on their forum are misplaced, the events of the day went like this if anyone wants to reply to the Halifax Forum:

Had an email from the ref this morning saying Halifax had been in touch and pitch was in good condition, this surprised me as it lashing it down in Leeds where we stayed overnight, upon arrival at the ground at 1-00pm I was told the referee wanted to see me, he told me he had looked at the pitch and in his opinion it was unplayable but he would give Halifax until 1-45pm to work on the pitch, anyone who saw the pitch and the efforts to clear the surface water was futile, the ref went back out to inspect the pitch with a ball, he was throwing a ball around with very little roll or bounce, at that point the ref called Garry and myself over plus the Halifax manager and Secretary informing there were still areas of the pitch that were dangerous and player’s safety was paramount, he also said there was an 80% chance of more rain so he was calling the game off, the Halifax manager made some comment which if I heard correctly he was out of order and I hope the referee reports his comment, the game being called off has done us no good at all, we now have to return on a Tuesday at extra cost, we feel for the fans that travelled costing them money, it now means Bush and Rance are not clear to play on Tuesday and Juke Box hasn’t even started his 2 match suspension, today would have been our 37th league game so cautions would have had to go to 15 after today, we are very disappointed the game was called off but the referee made the right decision without the slightest influence from Ebbsfleet, I know this as I was there, having seen that pitch I can’t see anyway it was anywhere near playable in the last 24 hours.''

I would have more sympathy for Ebbsfleet if they had a secretary who knew how to write in proper sentences, that bit in italics doesn't even make grammatical sense.

Big win for Maidenhead today against a surprisingly poor Sutton who looked really lacking in quality. We went down to 10 early in the second half but looked so much more resilient than in similar situations earlier in the season.

I think we have our bottom four now, Havant seem to have fallen apart as the pressure cranks up. As badly as Barnet are underachieving I cannot see any of them overhauling us. We're piss poor, but they're worse.

Ball to hand surely? It was flying around the box and deflected onto the arm. Our player didnt even seem to know where the ball was so no idea how that can be considered deliberate handball.

To be fair, both Rob and Ian Mac on commentary said they were both nailed on.

Very sad to see what's happened to Aldershot BTW. Spent all that time and effort getting back into the League as the new club only to throw it away after a mere five seasons, and worse still look certain to be playing sixth tier football next season.

Where's it all gone wrong and what could have been done to prevent this and ensure the Shots are still in the League which was their dream destination during the 90s and 00s?

Well we all know the exact moment it started.

Absolutely certainties to go down this season.
You won't get relegated.
After watching Havant make us look like a good side I can't see anyone but the current bottom 4 going down.

You will see just how bad we are when we give you another three points soon. Don't forget -everyone was saying how poor you were under Wheeler and you thumped us at the Hive. We are an appalling team full of individuals who do not want to be at the club (and who are also not good enough anyway).

Still will also know exactly what our deficiencies are seeing as he's bloody responsible for all of them!

The danger for us is that we go to Havant on the final day. We need to be safe before then or else we will drop.

There are major issues with our bloated squad and we aren’t going to be winning many games. I think it’s likely to be extremely close.

Exactly this. It speaks volumes that despite our huge squad and half of them being signed by Still that none of them have gone to Maidstone. Still rammed the squad with lazy signings on two year deals and knows it, which is why they're all still here

I think we do stay up, but this is getting more embarrassing by the week. Currie isn't the biggest problem and he didn't create this mess. However, he still needs to take responsibility for the situation and he's too naive right now.

A massive cull and ground up rebuild is required in the summer but in the interim 2-3 quality signings are needed now.

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
I'm not plonking all the way to Barrow to watch this awful team, especially with 2 home games to come this week,( Orient and Salford !) True to form, conceded a soft goal, then, shock, horror, equalised! But then gave away 2 penalties, one of which was duly converted in the 94th. minute.
Supporters have pretty much resigned themselves to relegation, but the players need to put in a proper shift this week against Orient, or things could get ugly off the pitch; they are playing for their future careers ( not that they'll be at this club)....

Watched Orient vs Wrexham at lunch time and it might have been a bit cagey because it was a top of the table clash but dearly me there was a lack of quality in most areas of the pitch.

Wrexham seem to have had a problem scoring goals for 3 or 4 years now. They had little creativity or pace in the side but you could see why they were good defensively and being well organised. Young looked a tidy player.

Orient were a little more lively up front through Simpson in the main but didn't seem to want to get stuck in like Wrexham were, bar a 5 minute spell after their goal.

Waddock says we executed his game plan perfectly, well if his game plan was to play for a draw with us 7 points from safety then he has completely lost the plot.

It's not our fault that teams just hack us down in the box??

To answer your question with an ounce of honesty we must be close to 20 penalties this season??

He’s absolute garbage. How did he win player of the season for you lot?!?!
He was actually really good for us last season.

We gave him a 2 year deal, made him one of our top earners and then he suddenly went to complete shit. I dunno what the heck happened in the summer, whether we gave him to much security and he just stopped giving a shit or last season was just a fluke, but he never looked the same player for us this season.

What the fucks happened to Aldershot?

2016/17 they were the first team to beat us at the rec in September then later on in the season we played out a 2-2 draw at our place but they were excellent and should of done the double over us.

Wanted anyone but them in the play offs because their front line tied us In knots in the league (Mensah, Kanu, Benyu) luckily we got past them in playoffs but thought they’d go again. Which they did last year and we were on the brink of playing them again only for Ebbsfleet and that penalty shoot out.

I backed them to win the league this year, shows what I know. They look gone which Is sad.

Haven't posted on here in a while, but thought I'd look this morning after a conversation with Shotsfan1993 after the game yesterday.

Only made the decision to go at about 10:30am yesterday, I was meant to groundhop at Halesowen. Long old journey up there, huge respect to Barrow fans who do that every other week. Going into the game, we knew we were done and one win in twenty, which was a scrape past the bottom side team.

The players don't care, the manager doesn't appear to care and the board don't have the finances to do anything. We're falling off a cliff, and I called it at back in September. Yesterday the first half was OK. Barrow we're the better team but there was some effort from our lot. We dragged it to 1-1, and it was mixed feelings. I had a discussion with someone, whether a draw would be acceptable but honestly it wouldn't have been. Then we sat back and let Barrow attack and attack. I think even without the two penalties (first was well saved) we were consigned to lose. We have a huge losers mentality.

The end summed up or support. A mixture of overflowing anger and some clapping the players off which I find absurd at this point. Chesterfield were on the pitch at one point demanding change, and we seem to just accept it as a supporters base. What angered me most was the two players that actually came over at the end are loanees. They're not the ones who have got us in the mess, but are standing up and taking accountability, which I respect. It's people like Mr Roly Poly, Jake Gallagher, who celebrated like we won the league at Braintree but was so far down the tunnel at full time.

I think Tuesday could get ugly off the pitch. We'll likely be outnumbered/matched by Orient and there's been growing conflict in our support between the 'support the team' brigade and those wanting to make direct action. There was argument after Solihull, but it'll likely be one win in 22 come 10pm Tuesday. Name another person who'd remain in the job after that return?

This is an excellent point and to be honest I have been surprised at the number of people who haven't put any of the blame at Waddock's door. I had plenty of time to think on the coach home last night and there isn't anyone else you could hold responsible for this mess. The board have given him the highest budget since administration, which HE has wasted. The fact that Waddock said we executed his gameplan perfectly up until the penalty suggests we went there for a draw, while 7 points from safety. Sorry, but he has lost the plot and needs to go.

I still believe that the penalties were controversial, but we got ourselves into the situation by sitting back. Had we played with the same urgency as the first 20 minutes of the second half, and tried to win the game, the ball may not have been in our box. If the ball isn't in the box the referee can't give them a penalty, so as much as I am annoyed at the decisions I am angrier with our attitude.

Waddock says in his interview after the game that he appreciates the support - why not actually come over after the game and thank us personally. If Mensah and Elokobi can come all the way over and shake hands with everyone who travelled, so can Waddock and the other players.

If Orient don't beat us by at least 3 on Tuesday they do not deserve to go up!

Unfortunately I just don't think he cares, and is now riding it out. He looks and acts like a defeated man, which he is.

Completely forgot Barrow hit the bar in the first half, also. Hate to think how hard our heads would've dropped had that of gone in.

We need to finish in the top 3 to have any chance of going up. We're certainly not capable of beating a top 7 side away from home. That was a poor performance but I'm not too worried at this point. Orient was far and away the toughest game we had left and they have a more difficult run in.

Hartlepool reffed in with 2 penalties [maybe]

They were both definate pens & we should have had another when your defender pushed Edgar's header onto the bar.
First half we were shocking as usual, second, excellent
The winner a sublime effort from Molyneux.

Hignetts got us playing well in parts & the goals are flying in.
What I saw of Wrexham today,I think we've a good chance of beating you.
