Never really understood ‘you celebrated that too much’ as a criticism. Celebrating goals is fun. If you’re not losing the plot for a last minute winner in front of the away end, football maybe isn’t for you.

At what time should we assess Parkinson then? Let's get real here, if we continue in the same form we will be out of contention for the title by January so waiting that long to see if he can improve things does not sit right with me.

That's some decent stat finding, but the hard facts which are there for all to see are that we sit in the bottom half of the table, 13 points away from top spot and 7 off the playoffs.

I'm not saying sack Parkinson now, so I assume you're not describing me when you're talking about people who are panicking. I want to give him the 6 games in November, 4 of which should be straightforward wins. Our position might look a lot more rosy after that, in which case we should allow Parkinson the chance to make signings in January. If our form hasn't improved, his position should be considered. I think that's fair and does not imply panic.

Your suggestion to assess his position after the January window does not sit right with me. By then, no manager can make any additions to the team and we are essentially resigning to the fact we won't do anything this season and are just preparing for the following season. Given the amount of money we have at our disposal, that's just not good enough.

I'm not happy with how things are going. I dont understand why there were obviously gaps in the squad left after the summer, and tbh im not a Parkinsom fan particularly, but with the transfer window limitations we have unless things just get worse and worse from here until Christmas then I am expecting him to see the season out.

I'm not ruling out the fact that he may be able to turn things around. If we can convert some of these draws to wins then we will still be in touching distance ready for a major recruitment drive in January (as reported on the press). We've been in this league too long to think that things are going to stay constant. Some of the early leaders will have dips in form, a club from further back will go on a run etc etc.

Here's hoping things improve. Big big month ahead.

Too right, one thing I’m loving about this season is that we proper celebrate every goal we score no matter who it is against, and injury time winners are always gonna be celebrated mentally especially in a game as tight as yesterday.
I didn’t enjoy watching it from the home end yesterday though I will admit.

Making excuses and calling it banter would you do the same if it was something racist?
I repeated Jacobs words if you’d bothered to read it properly instead of looking to leap on something that wasn’t there

I know what you mean, but it won’t stop if it’s treated as idiotic language rather than what it is. Actions of both sets of players, the ref and GTFC very good on that front yesterday.
Totally agree, could start with the EFL who banned Songo’o for 6 games for saying the same thing

No you didn’t. You started making excuses and trying to justify before then saying it was unacceptable.

No surprises I suppose as you blame refs, weather and injuries if ever you don’t win a game.

As Jacob says your club look like they did a great job on it though.

Well after reviewing the footage Carline clearly committed the foul...

He was also in a fatal car crash I believe?
Victim blaming, classy. Typical bully behaviour

Highly possible but I dont think the league wanted the TV game v Solihull to be off
Yes, the TV angle was my thought on Tuesday. However, the fact we had to fulfil yesterday's fixture (with the same absentees) makes me think that COVID isn't going to be considered a valid reason for sickies any longer.

Didn't Guiseley have to sign a load of players for yesterday's game, in a similar scenario?

Think Guiseley just promoted about 6 young lads from their academy for their senior debuts I think

Fair enough if it was reserves and not new signings, but it does sound like they were compelled to put out a side, whereas we'd have had postponements in the past.

This is what I mean, like there has been a quiet National League diktat sent to all clubs, saying that games are to go ahead, regardless.

I think games should go ahead now, there are no requirements for vaccinated people to isolate for a close contact unless they have symptoms and test positive themselves. If games are postponed for 1 or 2 cases we'll never finish the season
I don't disagree, maybe it could have been better communicated though, if it is in fact a policy change.

Should tell that to the posters on here who had a go at our kids grown men for over celebrating a last minute winner against Barnet!

Quite possibly, now that everyone had has the chance to be double jabbed, and therefore don’t have to isolate if they are a close contact

If we'd have lost there'd have been a 10pt gap between us. You can't win anything in October but you can be too far behind to win things.
Not that your lot weren't jizzing all over the place when you beat us of course.
Yup, and my comment is exactly what a Notts fans said about it, either on here or on your forum, so what goes around comes around, I guess. :ds:

We wouldn't know what a goal is. 1 in our last 6 games
