It was offside, and clear proof of cheating to get a player sent off.
Apart from the 2 players clearly playing Webster onside in the still image, sure. I know I'm biased too, but it's pretty hard to refute blatant evidence which you seem to do here.

I’ll accept on the still, that it was not offside.

Any chance you can do a still of the moment of contact between the Keeper and your forward. Need proof there was no simulation involved, no head involved no elbow just bumps in to him, then the player goes down holding his head.

I'd usually say that still images prove nothing with offsides but that looks pretty fucking onside to me that one. How many points have you lot picked up from losing positions now?!

One of our rivals, but to me Hurst seems like one of the good guys so I hope he can turn around the bad run. Starting next Saturday.
All shit managers are good guys, when they're managing your rivals. The job was too big for him first time around, who on earth thought it a good idea to bring him back? :dk:

We weren't great but "beyond awful" is way OTT and he's definitely not finished. The match was a fairly poor one that was well balanced, both teams looked pretty poor. Two sucker punches when we were well on top won it essentially. Fair play to Daggers, you took more of your chances than we did but it could have gone either way, especially if we'd have got it back to 3-2 with our best player on the pitch but we left ourselves with too much to do after the sending off.

We've got problems for sure but there are massive overreactions all over the place re: Hurst right now. We're losing games by fine margins and by making silly mistakes. I'm still yet to see a team outplay us this season* the trend seems to be more to frustrate us and drag us into a scrappy dog fight which we've not figured out how to deal with yet.

*not counting the Bromley match in that as that was a freak storm. We were weathered out of those points.

Well we were well on top before your first and second as there had only been about five mins of the second half when you scored and it was all one way traffic up until then. And yeah it could have easily been a draw as you only won by a single goal, that's hardly rocket science that bit. Incidentally, I'd like to see your first again as I thought it was a great header but someone in our WhatsApp group thought it just hit your man and he didn't really have any idea about it so there's potentially been a lucky goal scored there.

Not sure what game you were watching but I can't really remember you missing significantly more chances than us and I'd be surprised if we didn't have more possession. You must have been looking even worse than us recently if you genuinely think you dominated that. Would definitely suggest you're the one being deluded here.

Oh, also I'll let you off on this one as you probably don't know better but "Reading the fishy" should never ever be used to strengthen an argument, especially not after a Town defeat.

I don't necessarily agree that Fox and Hunt are out of form. They're not setting the world alight admittedly, but Hunt is tidy every single match and Fox is the only player trying to stave off the tide of teams relentlessly overrunning us and out battling us in the middle of the park, which is a thankless task. I think the main problems are that the defence looks out of sorts and we aren't scoring, which isn't really on Hunt or Fox. Hunt is deployed way too deep to be able to create anything of note and that's not really what Fox is there for.

You've definitely got a point about some of the signings though, a few clearly aren't good enough or fancied by Hurst. There are way too many passengers in a squad of that size. Like you say, it's inexplicable how much we've dropped off but I don't think there are necessarily dressing room problems. There's plenty of effort being exerted we're just playing poorly and not getting many decisions going our way. If there are dressing room problems then the Hurst mantra of brining in players with the right attitude has been tarnished somewhat.

I'd quite like to see Efete out wide on the right in a more attacking role and Sears back in at RB. Is Crookes out injured? I'm assuming he was one of the ones Hurst wouldn't reveal had been injured last week?

8 paragraphs? Really? On a defeat? LET IT GO FFS! :fl:

Are you taking about Hurst who took us up the first time we were down here and then got Shrewsbury to a L1 playoff final?

Wow, we were lucky to beat Dover!

Spoke to a few who went and we missed some great first half chances but Dover definitely should/could have won it in the second.

Spawny goal that looks like it took a flick off someone but has been given as going straight in from Davies' corner.

16/21 in the last 7 games without playing well, table means nothing at the moment but the games in hand won't be for a few weeks so hopefully a few will drop points in the meantime.

EDIT, just looked and some if the games in hand are sooner than I thought they would be so ignore that....Still hopefully some dropped points though :)

Weirdly you did exactly that to us, were much better than we were at it and somehow still lost.

Seems to be a lack of threads about us now, compared to 6 months ago.
Haha you're never too far away from a Scunny thread on The Fishy, it won't be long before you're being discussed on there again.

Hmmm, I wasn't at that match but interesting to note that Giles Coke started that match. Maybe he's getting overlooked a bit now for us. He's a bit limited but perhaps we need a clogger in the middle of the park now.

One thing is also worth noting regarding our massive dip in form is that all the but one of the six defeats in the last seven have been away from home. You're still the only team to take any points away from Blundell Park. We've been on the road a lot lately, we might benefit from playing at home over the next month or so a bit more than we have been doing.

He took them up, what more do you want from him?
Me? I don't want anything from him. He took them up after FOUR failed attempts. I make that a 20% success rate what do you make it? On second thoughts that's not bad with a Mickey Mouse operation like Grimsby. :bdick:

I know enough to know a shit manager when I see one. The sad thing is, you KNOW I'm right but it would kill you to admit it. :ds:

That's him, after FOUR failed attempts. And yes, he failed to take Shrewsbury up too. Thanks for your support. :fl:

You mean as opposed to the FC Halifax failed promotion attempts into the Football League every year since 2014?

One thing you do have from him is the biggest defeat in your clubs history

Sorry to piss on your parade, but that was barely half way to our biggest defeat. Our Brothers Stockport have that honour. 7- 0 is only a fair to middling result for us.

Try harder, chuck. :ds:

Sorry piss on your shoes, but please take this up with the FA, who have a different "opinion". I don't make the rules sweetcheeks. :ds:
