The blue baldies have knocked the comb out of the stripey baldies' hand and now they're both scrapping to get hold of it again. All this would be really messing up their hair, if they had any. :woot:

That Balanta is a proper player. But do County mark zonal or what, cos that looked really poor from that 80s porn star guy

We’re the form team in the league now. 3 wins on the bounce, 2 clean sheets on the bounce, and surging towards the play offs.

Daggers good value for a point here. Slocombe made an excellent save at 0-0 to keep it level before Notts scored.

A well deserved victory against a big Bromley side made alot easier with the early sending off for the assault on Jarvis. Another 8000 crowd on a bitterly cold day.
We are not far off from being top scorers in the league in fact we have had 14 different scorers this season which is remarkable as most fans feel our midfield is non existant and needs strengthing in January. On to Yeovil on Tuesday and then Dover on Saturday it could be a good week.

We still need to get a bit more consistency but nice to see us winning these games. We are actually benefitting from our difficult start now- a reasonable run of games generally against teams further down the table to see out 2021 - when a lot of the teams around us are playing one another.

Get into January in 3rd or 4th then strengthen the squad with 2 of 3 quality additions and it sets us up nicely for the end of the season.

They're terrible without the ball but useful with it. They should be winning here really

I get the tongue in cheek comments, though i still think some are getting a bit carried away with the Stockport and Challinor hype.

Clearly they are a good side and will be right up there but they've beaten (if memory serves) Dover, Kings Lynn and now Wealdstone in recent weeks. I don't think most people would flinch if Yeovil (for instance) won those games.
Ignoring the two games with Bolton and dominating but admittedly only getting a point after an injury-time OG against Bromley.

I’m not saying we’re going to win the league but we’re back in contention.

Funny thing about our postponement is my lad told me that it got abandoned just as the Boreham Wood coach pulled up.
‘Alright lads, now just turn your coach around and fuck off’ :D

Notts probably deserved that in the end but not a classic by any stretch.

Glad people have seen our deficiencies now. Must say, at the start of the season I got far too carried away with the opening matches. Clear now that we're not challenging the top 7 unless we can somehow be in touch for the final 10 games although I'm doubting that at the moment - we have zero backbone. Looks more like mid-table mediocrity again.

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
Thought the Shots might pull it off today, obviously a couple of wins is a great shot in the arm. Defence now looking pretty sound, will give the team some stability. The concern is the forwards, Corie Andrews is wasted as a lone striker, and only functions facing the goal. Some decent balls into the box, at last, and we need a target/hold up lump if we are to progress.
Well done, all. Onward and upwards.

I watched the replay and you were impressive no doubt, especially after being 2 down in no time.

We beat Man City and West Ham in the league cup (15 years ago maybe) and yet ended up getting relegated. Cup games are just different.

Miles from our best there but probably did enough second half to warrant the win. We’re not exactly known for being able to grind wins out, so will take it.

Never felt that threatened by Daggers in open play, but Wright’s set pieces were something else. Best I’ve seen for ages.

It was so cold.

3 wins in a row since we were punished for "what we did" to Wrexham, I must be dreaming...

On a serious note, another gritty win in nasty conditions - we coped well first half when Kings Lynn had the wind behind them and second half we were in control without creating too many chances.

Kings Lynn and Dover heading for the exit door means only one other relegation place between about 5/6 teams, we have a much better chance of staying up than we did 3 weeks ago!

Well of course there is you in front but the bulk are lining up behind
I was only joking mate. I wouldn’t be too worried Halifax look good value for their position in the league and certainly haven’t played Weymouth and Aldershot every week like we have.

Well our 2 pre christmas league games are against Wealdstone and Kings Lynn so I'm hoping we can get some point there to keep us in contention for the Christmas season against Grimsby and yourselves

Not going to lose too much sleep over that, Stockport were the best side I’ve seen in the league this season (Dagenham were excellent in the cup). We had our chances but Stockport’s press was seriously impressive and 3 of their goals came from nicking the ball higher up the pitch - the midfield 3 of Collar, Croasdale and Sarcevic were all superb and completely ran the show.

The one thing that’s fucked me off today was a good 75-80% of the home crowd leaving after the 4th went in. Stick with it through thick and thin.

Did you not just see his bizarre, surprisingly competent go at being a right wing back?
I didn’t but Crankshaw has played RWB, RW, CAM and as a FWD all in space of three weeks so he’ll have to more than that impress me haha.

We don’t really seem to know what to do with Roberts tbh, he’s a genuine winger and we don’t play with them. Not convinced that trying to teach him to play central midfield is ever going to the best use of his talent.
