He generally likes playing deeper doesn't he? he's not going to be running channels if he can help it.

this is the shitty brand of 'football' Keates makes us play, and also why we generally don't do well against anyone decent. We sit back and hope to nick something, or we go ahead and cling on desperately for the rest of the game playing deeper and deeper. Against Bromley, Halifax (first half) and Woking we played on the front foot and won comfortably.

This is why we need a change in the summer.

with three more out today we were virtually down to a five a side team. didnt expect to win and a draw was a bonus for us. umerah sent off so he misses one game. we obviously keep going to the end but notts will think they have thrown that away

I think we all know the squad is pretty limited and not good enough for promotion. We couldn't do much about as the takeover occurred at the end of the window.
Keates is also limited tactically and has a safety first approach.
The surprising thing is there is a number of limited sides around us hence even now we remain in the play off position.
We are keeping our powder dry for a spending spree in the Summer. Exciting times

That was an un-Aldershot like result, comfortable 2-0 in the end and could have scored 5. Wealdstone tried hard but lacked quality in key areas

Not to be too negative as today is a decent point, but only 1 point from our last 3 has probably killed our hopes of a play off spot. Like you say, we have a really difficult run now and 4/5 points from those 3 would be the max I can see us picking up.

Excellent, I can continue to blame our stupid players rather than the linesman (who had an excellent game actually, twice having to tell his ref that Umerah had pretty blatantly elbowed Ellis in the face).

It would feel like going out with a bit of a whimper and stumble won't it if we miss out now... Which is just bonkers when not that long ago we were staring down the North. You'd have to say this season is a success either way, but to miss out would be crap.
