Is there much to do in Dover or Folkestone? Going down for the day if there is anything other than sitting in a spoons regretting one's life choices.
Dover"s great for migrant spotting this time of year.

Yes, down the Western Docks.
There’s also a couple of piers to walk down too see France a bit more clearly

We've sold 105 tickets for Stockport away on Saturday. I'm one of them, never been to Edgeley Park before.

What divorce my fishy friend? We hate codheads!
You've either got issues (probably because your best player preferred to join us in the league below rather than play for your rabble) or you're just a shit troll. Either way, you're a sad cnut :')

McAtee scored 2 goals in 2 years for us. Enjoy your season without your cup final. Will be another ten years till we play you

Not sure what to expect against Southend. If we play like we did against Alty, I’d back us to win. Play like we did against Yeovil, and it will be a painful watch. Need to get back to playing to our strengths rather than focussing on our opposition.

Considering $to¢kport and ¢he$terfield will keep strengthening with £18k pw players before our transfer window opens in January, every game this early in the season is a must win for us.
I'm with you, we spent the last two seasons playing catch up and never quite could, I think some of these games are must wins already, draws aren't going to get you into first place.

Scunny Pacifist 10 years until we play you again, I think we all know that’s not true now don’t we?
Unless you are confident we will get promoted this season and therefore pass you on your way down?

Hoping for the win against Weymouth but they've had a couple of good results so it's looking a harder game than when the fixture list came out.

I think an argument could be made that it's better to get the more difficult (on paper) fixtures out the way early. I'd much sooner have easier fixtures to play on the run in, wouldn't you?

Yes but James Rowe has made it so you just play the Easier teams 4 times.

Not sure what to expect from us. 3 decent enough performances then an embarrassing one on tv. 2 wins 2 defeats. I fail to see how we can possibly be worse than we were against Yeovil. I hope we win

Assuming we have to win sometime, Solihull at home is probably our best chance, considering our next few fixtures. Unusually, I am quietly confident after our performance at Notts last week ,but it’s all on the day of course.
If we lose, it’s already a long way back…
2-0 Shots ( please…)
If we lose, next weeks fans forum will be a hoot…

There is a big market for dinghy rides in Dover.

Food... head to Hambury's in Princes Street, Babbacombe. Beer... after scoffing the best fish n chips in the Wescountry, head down the road to The Divers Arms (just a few minutes walk down from Princes Street).... The water is always fucking cold no matter what time of the year but if you like mountaineering you could always head down to Watcombe Beach* (good luck finding that, matey!)

*Love this place as it's grockle-free and spent many a summer's day there when growing up in the 'Bay.
Cheers mate. Had a look at Hambury's online and I think there's summat wrong with the website as there's no haddock on the menu? Might go for the lemon sole in that case. Will check that out and be back with a review.

Plenty of good pubs around the ground and Boots and Laces at the ground lets away fans in. Enjoy your day/weekend. Unforunately the manager is giving the defence 10 games so easily a 6-2 away win

Don't care how scrappy it is, we just need a win at this point. Alty were excellent across both games last season and assuming their style of play hasn't changed, it should be a good one to watch as a neutral.
It should be a great game to watch, we have pretty much the same side plus quite a few new higher quality players and will be going for it as usual,... with most of our defenders injured. Typically our manager is playing at least 3 wingers :woo:

Has any manager EVER come out and called the opposition team they’re about to face ‘fucking useless’ ??? Course he’s gonna big them up, ease the expectation etc…

Rowe knows full well anything other than 3 points on Saturday would be a huge disappointment and unacceptable when you consider the shambles that Dover have been over the past 18 months. But there’s no doubt their lads will be bang up for this and that’s why it’s a ‘banana skin’ if we’re not quite at it!

Bit of team news from our camp:
Jack Clarke is going to be out for 2 months with a hamstring injury which is bad news for us because he’s started in good form. Asante is apparently way ahead of schedule and it’s looking like he could be back in training as soon as October!! He did his ACL in April so that would be some going, but wouldn’t expect to see him playing again until November time

Kwame Thomas also did his ACL in April reported this week that he will be able to train on grass by the end of the month. So timescale seems to be in line with Asante or possibly just ahead although you shouldn't rush these injuries

I think you’ll need him. Can see Mullin’s knee injury being a niggly one.

Per the Cockington Chronicle:

The manager said, before last Monday’s heavy home defeat to Woking, “It’s ludicrous we have to waste time playing what is so obviously inferior opposition and the result is such a forgone conclusion, why can’t the FA just award us the three points now and save the poor buggers their coach fare?" Later he added, "Because, at the end of the day, football is a form of entertainment and the punters pay their money, I’ve told the boys to let them have two right from the kick-off and we’ll nominate one of our lads to get an early sending off, to make it more competitive.”

After the match, the gaffer admitted he may have underestimated Woking somewhat.

Calling Dover players big weapons? Poor once again from James Rowe.
