Yes we came to frustrate for sure and our keeper took the piss with time wasting. However we havent trained for a week and have no actual training base at all now our pitch is knackered. Our tight arse of a chairman wont pay.
So with that it mind. i thought we were excellent, showed bundles of resilence and on another day could have nicked an undeserved point. You have loads of possession and corners but did very little.

In fact we may have had as many shots as you on target in the second half.

You wont be going anywhere based on that.
As for the ref he was excellent I thought Very fair. Embrassing set up by the way. The people at the gate to let us in to the press area. Didnt even know who Alfreton was or how to spell them! lol
The ref was clueless, your keeper took 2 minutes every goal kick, number 8 who takes every through in ,was warned twice by him for pinching 10 yards and still did it all game till subbed.
Bet Kettering v Alfreton is a Spectacle of footballing excellence.
Agree with you we aren’t going anywhere,Watson waisted budget.

Yes I admit the keeper took the piss. Dont use hyerbole though. About 20 seconds he used which is too much. If your looking for footballing excellence is what your looking for than the National League North isnt the place to find it. Is your name Terry by any chance? ;)

No I’m not called Terry.
Personally would just be happy for 2 teams to try and play football,

B and J good blokes? Joking arent you lol?
From my experience Jonno was always very good, he might shout, swear and be a bit aggressive on the touchline but he always had time for anyone.

I struggled with Morley though, comes across as the nice one with outsiders because he's quieter but I attended a few fan meetings and he was very dismissive of us. Always felt like Jonno had to correct him and interject when he was speaking.

Interesting to see they seem to have taken the same problems they had with us up to Spennymoor already though, things that Watson has put right after just two training sessions here.

Alfreton were the most limited, gutless team I've seen since we came down here, your support was as limited as your team tactical nous, we created very little but it was a very comfortable win

Southport 4-0 Farsley

We were 4-0 up at half-time and it should have been more, absolutely tore Farsley apart. Second half we went easy on them but were still the better team, I suspect it was another case of game management from us.

Unfortunately there were some incidents of racism and homophobia from Farsley "fans" (apparently they were Leeds fans on a day out, so no surprise there if so). The referee stopped the game, spoke to our keeper and both captains, then went over and spoke to both managers. At the same time as this the Farsley keeper ran to the far end of the pitch to have a word with their fans (and got applauded back to his own penalty area by our fans). This was followed by an announcement over the tannoy that racism and homophobia will not be tolerated at our club, and there was a suitable response from our fans towards theirs. Even after the full time whistle some of their players went over to have a word with their supporters. It was surprising really as Farsley are probably the most inoffensive club in this division, and I would have never expected that from them.

We played a very good side today in Gateshead. I'd say I've witnessed probably the champions? We shall see come the Spring. In our defence we had a gruelling match a couple of days ago against the Pride. And Gateshead were much fitter and fresher for this game.

Still we stood our ground after they threw everything at us in the first half and the match was never gonna stay at 0-0, still we had a couple of decent chances with Charman, Lambert and also Ellis.

Once again a defensive error gave Gateshead the lead with the lively Langstaff slotting home, hard to believe we went straight up the other end and levelled through Charman. But wasn't to be their response was just as quick. I'm not convinced the third goal should have stood the ball looked over the line, highlights should clarify that dispute.

The lads should be proud of themselves today It was always gonna be a difficult game against a classy Gateshead team who will be thereabouts for the title.

I don't know we had a bit of fun rivalry with the two of them back in the Salford days. It was all in good spirit also with Chester as well.

Anyway we are fortunate to still have a character like Jonno still around after he was in a bad way in hospital with covid pneumonia that was once reported by Bluandwite who kept us in the loop.

Okay they've ended up at a horrible outfit in Spendymoor! But that's their personal choice and Uncle Brad's bottomless money pit of course.

we need some luck at Curzon, play well each game, get the old ‘didn’t play as good as normal’ from opponents which usually just means we didn’t let them play as good as normal…….just cannot win

I disagree that York for first time this season are starting to look like a team, first half was very good against a team that didn’t try to play football and slow everything down to a ridiculous level.
Must admit Mckay looks a good player have Curzon anymore.

We're being linked with that Langstaff at Gateshead. What type of striker is he?

We had him for 2 seasons, couldn’t hold down a place and loaned out everywhere.
Not a bad striker but not sure he is good enough for your team.

A tad harsh. Yes the first half was far from good but we had as many shots on target as you in the second?

Admittedly I'd had a few beers when posting the above but it was a typical billy heath team. Rhead was good in the past but he was a waste of a shirt for you yesterday. Your number 7 looked good, Ceesay?

They must have a decent squad if Langstaff was sat on the bench for over 60 minutes, came on and provided Gateshead with the extra energy they needed to win the game. He was only on for seven minutes when he broke the deadlock and was close with a chance before his goal.

I thought he looked quite lively from what I saw of him, could be a gamble worth taking?

I didn't realise York and Alfreton had so much rivalry, it's all good-natured banter like with the exchange of words with each other

We're after a back up striker to Quigley who does pick up the odd injury. Alex Reid has never looked up to the job and doesn't look in favour with Challinor so a back up striker to add competition and support is probably a position on our list and this Langstaff has been mentioned.

No rivalry at all, just down to the way they approached game.
No wonder it’s a northern pub league.

It is quite sad seeing some of the time wasting that goes on but to be fair, if you're leading fair enough but not at 0-0 5 minutes into a game. I couldn't go watch a team that strives for a point every week

If you can spend 5 minutes to watch the Chorley vs Curzon highlights the Curzon first goal is utterly ridiculous a volley strike from 30 yards.

2:50 mark on the highlights

I bet your looking forward to round two, actually it's a pretty tough league and very competitive this season.
We've really got to push ourselves if we really want to succeed at this level York and Darlo!

It’s a good job I like visiting Alfreton for a away trip?
I can’t stand Paul Cox standard of football and just so I don’t get tempted to go,I’ve booked to go and see Inverness Caledonian Thistle that weekend, furthest away place to Kettering.

Spennymoor have signed Jude Oyibo after we mutually terminated his contract yesterday.

Quick, tricky and will win free kicks but no end product. Seemed likeable but couldn't really force his way in to our side, suspect he'll have a similar role with them.
