Anyone at home tbh. Really looking forward to it and please please please let us all get through a full season of football

I wouldn't mind a trip to your place as our first match. If restrictions are lifted you'd probably see your highest attendance of the season or thereabouts. With our supporters starved of league footy.

From what I know they have no drastic money, they have a couple of 3G pitches at the ground which gets them money other clubs don’t get

What happened to John Flanagan when he departed Curzon? I thought he had ambition and was a decent 'Gaffer'

What for??? They've got 150 fans at best. Who's paying for all of this?

As you well know they are entirely dependent on large followings to the Tameside Stadium. The year 2018-2019 their average gate was 449.

Should be able to get back to watching Curzon after a couple of seasons not sure what they are like as didn’t see much last year.

Their signings so far are the blend of released national league players and first choice northern league players pretty much.

Curzon seem to be banking on Stockport links with them on another level now, signed two players from their conf north winning side Alex Curran and Adam Thomas, going from their fan base signing Thomas is a real coop for this level.

also signed Jack McKay who was at Chesterfield, but went on loan to Airdrie last year, Jack Dunn who played for Warrington the last 2 seasons and Chris Remsjaw who was Wittons first choice goalie the last two years.

it will be a case of energy from the lower league players moving upwards hopefully mixing in from some experienced ex Stockport players who already proved it at this level and hoping that combo clicks.
I think Adam Thomas will be good signing, didn't do a lot wrong for us but got squeezed out by the club's ambition to sign even better players. Curran is more of a wild card, he was very highly rated at Colne but never really got much of a look in at our place.

weird one really. Had a spell as assistant at Mossley (best views from a stadium that one) that didn’t go well then nowt since.

not sure why, he had a club on 150 gates taken to two promotions then holding its own in a league way above the leve the club should be at all while playing a passing game (wasn’t a quick fix john beck long ball type)

maybe he has a bad rep behind scenes or wants to stay local and none of them clubs appointed him.

he’d been a good fix for BPA I’d thought

Most aggro we’ve ever had at our ground when your lot visited. Crazy day, still it’s all good fun. you had a few banned didn’t you. Remember seeing a few of your supporters flicking fags and pouring beer on stewards. Police rocked up and took a load of pictures. I left the ground and there were riot vans everywhere.

Very peculiar in one respect. I think he's a lot better than a short stint as an assistant at Mossley like.

Yeah I remember the double you did over us with one of your promotions, making light work of us at Heritage Park with a resounding 4-0 defeat.

Quite possible he has a background scandal.

I'm surprised with his pedigree he hasn't ended up at the likes of Stalybridge Celtic or even Ashton United.

In a way the code of behaviour was morally wrong under any circumstances. Very chaotic, suppose in our defence like the bar in the away end didn't really help matters, they were selling alcohol to any individual that walked and probably made a bad situation worse. I'm not sure about any fan's being banned. I know our camera man on the day got involved with his lenses taking pics! Aye was a lot of our fan's outside the ground.

Curzon doing another good deal this year. Anyone who lives in Manchester can pay a £5 membership fee and then every home game league game costs £5, if under 16 it’s free.

so - apart from Fylde, York and maybe Chorley? who else is expected to be challenging in NLN this coming season? With moneybags South Shields probably coming up to NLN next season this season clubs need to get up if they can.

Wouldn't have had Chorley at the top of the list. But I'd imagine top 3 will be some form of: Fylde, York & Boston.

Then for the remaining playoff spots you could take you pick from the likes of:
Chester
Brackley
Gloucester
Gateshead
Spennymoor
Kidderminster
Darlington
Chorley
And probably 1 or 2 others.

We have signed mostly young players this season but I think we will challenge for the playoffs no problem, so much better than going down the usual route of signing journey men on high wages.

It should be a really interesting league. Plenty of strong teams for this level. Your managers know how to prep teams to be competitive in this league. Brackley are always there or there abouts. Kidderminster, Gateshead and Gloucester are all full time so gives them advantages against part time opposition. Could genuinely be any 4 from about 10 teams for the remaining playoff spots.

We've gone down a similarish route, seems like the squad will largely be younger lads who've been in the process game recently and are trying to play their way back there, which I'm all for tbf. There have been a couple of left field signings in particular Lexus Beeden a CB released by Reading U23's with absolutely no ties to the NE.

It would be wonderful if we could manage to play a whole season without disruption,I am keeping my fingers crossed and can’t wait for the first game.

Chorley have kept all of last seasons first team regulars with the exception of Elliot Newby, who signed for Stockport and Arlen Birch who has gone to Telford. Quite a few youngsters have joined the first team squad with a couple of new signings but not sure how good they are as not seen them yet.i would gave thought we were likely yo be mid table to be honest.

Not sure about York this year, wage bill is considerable lower but will still be top 3,
Got 3 new strikers, all proven goal scorers Donaldson,Willoughby & Gilchrist but biggest plus is Jake Cassidy has departed.
Keeper, defence & midfield same as last season just a lot smaller squad.
Boston will win the league, signed good players must have top budget for them.
Flyde were good last year and kept same squad will push them.
Gateshead are my dark horses.

Our first 11 is decent, BUT, we've only got 12 players currently and one of them in Bernard Mensah is injured. Heard we could be re-signing Noah Smerdon after his release from Exeter, he spent the latter half of last season on loan in the South with Chippenham. Not sure what he's like now, was class in the NLS with us but when bigger clubs started sniffing around he massively went off the boil. Realistically we need a couple of defenders, a big forward to play off McClure, another keeper (only have Jake Cole - Rhys Lovett signed for Maidenhead) and a winger.

Hoping to back someone outside of York, Fylde and Boston (when the bookies finally price it up), I'm tending towards Kiddy as they've got a couple of our ex players does anyone else on here give them a bit of a chance? We also played them in a pre-season friendly prior to the start of last season and they looked quite decent not sure how many of that team are still with them though.

I remember Wrexham fans being so frustrated that you signed him and we didn’t, but seems like we made the right choice in hindsight

He couldn’t hit a barn door for us. Saw him miss so many chances and truthfully he’s one of the worst strikers we’ve had. Looked like he had ability but just never turned up. Went on loan to York and did well though so he might come good yet

He was fantastic when on loan at York, played against Sunderland Wednesday night looked sharp and scored in 1-1 draw.
For me Clayton Donaldson will be star player can’t believe how quick he still is for 37 years old,

Yeah he might be a good signing for you. I always thought he would come good with us but it just never happened. Be a tough league this year definitely

Having watched us be comprehensively beaten by Dorking today at home in a PSF I am pretty sure Chorley will be a lower half of the table team, nowhere near strong enough for this league.

Speaking of Lexus Beeden he was rock solid in defence today never put a foot wrong, just what we need. I hope he's okay overstretched in a tackle. Purver was quality in midfield and I was also impressed with Hope.

Up front I might be wrong but I don't think it's gonna work with Charman running around on his own, we could have done with possibly capturing a Beck type on loan. Early days with Mondal and Santos they'll certainly improve!

I thought the scoreline perhaps did not reflect the effort the lads put in we played some decent football.
