Stuck in a tough place in a way, on one hand I’d imagine they would love to change style and approach, play it more on the ground, but on other hand I’ve seen it at all levels that a big shift can be fatal if the players totally fail to suit the change having been brought in for previous guys style.

I think our players are better footballers than the style of play they had to use would let them show, and if anything didn't suit a lot of them at all.

Who do you fancy next?

Milligan was the one who immediately came to my mind that could fit? Think he applied for our job last year.

Jamie Milligan would be ideal. I would be happy with Bobby Grant too. Both should be realistic targets, depends on if Bamber Bridge want something for Milligan though.

Curious how much longer Darlo fans think Alun Armstrong has left? Probably one for the worsdt calender years in the country and doesn't seem to be improving 3 games in

TBF Im not sure they've had a worse 2023 than scarboro' & they seem to be sticking with Greening. Suppose it comes down to how popular the manager is with support, regardless of results... and expectations of course!

Southport- russ Wilcox?
Or maybe that fella Wilkin at Telfud? Got relegated yes, but that was down to a dreadful start for the team b4 he arrived. He had successes at brackley and was even briefly threatening to keep telfud up last season.

Dunno about chorley game, Tues night's South S crowd was about 350, I'd reckon. We were surprised they didnt bring more, but maybe their fabled travelling support stayed at home & watched on the new streaming thingy...

I think Wilcox is based near Scunthorpe, and Wilkin in the Midlands, both a bit of a trek for a regular commute to Southport or Skelmersdale (where we train). I'd have Wilkin in heartbeat if he was interested.

Another away game in the Birmingham area on a plastic pitch, I can also imagine their being more trouble knowing our fanbase.

If we play like we did on Tuesday then we should win, no clue what kind of football Rushall play though.

Rushall were tidy in possession Tuesday night and have a fluid midfield where they interchange. Lack any cutting edge, nice to watch until the final third. They’ll surprise a few this year.

More injuries today, sigh.

On another note, how are Banbury fans allowed to consistently misbehave? We (rightly) got pelters for the issues in the play-off game but this mob are allowed to do it every week.

Another dire display against Warrington who were worthy of the points but Chorley were so poor. Preece just doesnt seem to know his best 11 we are desperate for a striker and so weak in midfield, very worried now about this season.

Another solid performance and solid point but it looks like unless we sort something out we are going to have a typical curzon season……solid and safe but too many draws and not enough wins to trouble the top 7.

From all accounts should have won it in injury time, same as midweek vs kings lynn but the lack of finishing games off will cost us.

First point on the board for Darlo.

Embarrassing attendance. I know we have lost 3 in a row but Darlo fans are so fickle these days.

On to the match I'm just relieved we got something as Brackley yet again look a top 4 or 5 side. Every player they have is a good player.

Hopefully we can kick on from here although Alfreton away next up followed by South Shields at home is far from ideal.

Another great away win for us against Rushall, basically a home game though as we had more fans than them.

Unfortunately off the field issues are going to screw us over again, huge 10 days as we are meant to be evicted from GP on 29th August.

I'm so pleased I went on Tuesday to GP if that's the case.

It's a shame like with what's going on at Scunny. What an amazing ground for this inferior level of football!

I bet Rushall was a wake up call for you guys, visited there a canny few years ago it was a shock to the system on my behalf!

Proper non-league ground.

I was mortified when they announced the attendance on Saturday on such a glorious sunny afternoon.

Was a great point against a Brackley side that will always be in play-offs come the end of any season.

Then again I walked out of the ground muttering to myself thinking well we could have won that match.

Nevermind, onwards and upwards.

Yeah I am not sure if we will be evicted just yet, hopefully our old crook owner will not be a dickhead for once. I'm looking forward to going to Darlo later in the season, last time I went it was at the arena in about 2004 I think.

I didn't realise until yesterday just how small some of the clubs are in this league. We're an okay sized club but not massive and we outnumbered Rushall yesterday by about 300 fans which seems mental.

Hopefully fingers crossed he'll take his dick of his head and all being well will come to his senses and stop playing around.

That'll be another wake up call visiting Blackwell Meadows! Another shit-hole of a ground.

It's never been the same since we got hoodwinked into leaving Feethams!

I just hope it isn't raining that night because you'll need plenty of brolleys.

I know it's mental we outnumbered Rushall as well.

Steven Cleeve whining about our goal being offside (it wasn't) whilst keeping stum about their 99th minute equaliser when only 8 minutes was meant to be played ....
