Long hard season ahead. Lost to a very poor Scarborough team. Still conceding comedy goals, and little threat up front. Need 10 Will Hatfield's, who is carrying the rest of them at present.

Was a shame thst draw because it was only two draws off Ashton and was looking likely for the derby.

Tough draw, Tamworth are currently one of the best at this level but curzon can get pluck performances out against the best so need to do so here.

Hard game vs Boston Saturday they usually beat us at our place comfortably.

Little bit of hope after the last 30 minutes last wwwk because for me it’s the best spell at home we’ve played since a home game vs Blyth back in January 2022 before we became so focused on ‘counter attack’ we lost our way on attacking at home.

But it was a nothing to lose cup game where teams do ‘have a go’ so will see if it carries on here or play the 9 players passing about to no men in box approach we sometimes do at home.

How is Craig doing as caretaker?

Hard to say at present because I feel his first game was abit of a mess probably because it was an out of the blue change.

They started off as normal but grew into game second half be more interesting to see here

Come back from two down to beat Peterborough Sports with a late long range stunner from 18yo Reece Daly. Another one off the production line from the academy.

Peterborough will surely go down, we gifted them two goals. One of the worst sides I've seen in years.

Excellent win today was very impressed was nice to not play 0 up front at home.

Very balanced game till we scored a cracker then large spells of dominance getting us 3 goals up until a late surge from Boston in last 5-10 minutes but game was dead by then.

We looked very dangerous today hope we can continue it at home now

We managed to bounce back from 2 cup defeats to secure a good away win at Gloucester, I know they havent been great this weadon but our record there isnt good. A week off now due to being out of the FA Cup.

You'll never have an easier three points. Half of our squad are utter dirt and nowhere near good enough for this level. First goal was embarrassing, second goal was a superb hit from Johnson but two of our players just watched him instead of closing down.

Danny Wright is apparently our top earner, he's laughing all the way to the bank. Shouldn't get a game in the Hellenic League. Mike Cook's post match interview was very interesting however, suggesting some players have been feigning injury and not training but then declaring themselves fit for matchdays ..pretty obvious judging by his gut that Elliott Durrell must be one of those. He's at least two stone overweight.

Patrick Chambers midas touch will now take us down after relegating Hungerford. Never 754 there either.

Just read the report on your game yesterday -- First line states " Chorley cruised past an abysmal Gloucester City side without leaving second gear ".

Lakeland jumps ship from his 'precious curzon'... about right. Treated you lot just like he did with us. Slightly surprised at the next destination tbh. They're pro & he cant commute it from blackburn, so he'll be having to move the family down there. I'd have figured he was eyeing Alti or rochdale etc - somewhere more local to him. Let's see who he gets to follow him there - Walker already gone, Jimmy Spencer? Barton?

Went to see the Celts win comfortably at scarbro yesterday. Didnt think we were great actually but were loads better than them. As ive said on here since last season, they were just relying on a run of form at the start of 22-23. They've been pretty poor in this calendar year (returning to true form?). We played a different shape today and it suited us. Hope the managmnt have assessed the success of this and stick with it. Think they figured it'd be like the FA Cup replay BUT they played against half a team of schoolkids (16 & 17 yr olds) that night - we had Connor B, Rudy etc on saturday so they struggled against our actual adult side.
A word of warning to those who havent been away there yet this season. They have moved away fans from the section of the 'club paid for' stand to the swimming pool end- segregated. Totally flat & a rotten view. No cover. Pretty poor for this level of footy. We've faced wind both times (as it blows along the valley into your face when stood there) but got lucky with rain etc. I pity supporters going there in bad weather this season.

We basically sold out our allocation for Chester after they went on sale this morning. Only allowed 450 tickets.

Why do they have a cap on their capacity?

Trouble after the play-off game at the end of last season. It was reviewed last Friday and hopefully being lifted after this game. Police did a sweep of arrests last week, probably the last lot who caused it being mopped up.

Annoying that it's not lifted for this game, would be a huge crowd I would have imagined

Yes our crowds are slightly down this season despite us giving out a shedload of freebies.
Not really a like for like comparison. They are up on this time last year by a few hundred (same amount of freebies). They are down as you would expect from the business end of last season when going for promotion.

What’s happened to the Darlo fans on here.
Do you think you can turn it round,a club like that is too big for Northern Counties.
I went to the Tadcaster friendly and you looked very poor up top.

There are 2 divisions of the NPL to fall through before Northern Counties
