Noticed curzon also have taken Campbell back from Macclesfield…..guess we’d had some peers back had Chester not swooped.

All a total mess at Macclesfield they ain’t storming the league so seem to be getting shot of most of the team and bringing in a new one
Macc in danger of repeating the same mistakes. Historically a team with 1200 support, but behaving as though 3500 is normal. Yes, they have a good social side and a 4G pitch, but the money will disappear if the success dries up. They need to look at what B and J are managing at Radcliffe on a lot less money and a lot less churn.

Well that's how you bounce back from the weekend.

A rampant 6-0 win over Spennymoor. We went 3-0 up pretty quickly and Spennymoor didn't threaten at all. They then got a red card which ended the game and it was just a case of how many we could score.

Another dominant performance from Chester tonight could and should have been 0-5, but we will take the 3 points and look forward to Saturday.

Yeah that was absolutely fantastic tonight, just feared missing so many chances would come back to haunt us but got the second just at the right time after Southport had a good little spell after half time. Thoroughly enjoyable, without Caton as well, Peers has settled in perfectly though.

Chester destroyed us, 2-0 doesn't reflect how dominant they were. The best team I've seen at the level this season.

We've done what we normally do and have gone off the boil quickly. We were lucky to best Gloucester, poor away at Peterborough Sports, and non-existent last night.

What a bounce back from Saturdays drubbing, South Shields were very good and for a 2p minute spell in second half looked different class, fortunately for us they failed to take the chances they created Urwin made a couple of excellent saves and the whole Chorley team worked their socks off. Ubaezouonu came off the bench and hit an absolute worldy to snatch the points for the Magpies, on to Saturday now home to Hereford.

We lost again last night but i have to say it was one of the most enjoyable matches I have seen for a while last night.

Really open, lots of opportunities and some really nice inventive play at times from curzon.

One of them games where you say both sides deserved 3 points but football doesn’t work that way.

Arrggghhh last minute conceded goal again. We have a ton of injuries after last night as well. Cursed season, but in truth anyone who changes every single player and management team in a single pre season with lower quality players in most areas will struggle.

What I will say though is that Durrell was by far and away the best player on the pitch last night.

Frustrating defeat last night at Alfreton. We controlled the first half before taking the lead early in the second. Alfreton got a debatable penalty to equalise then got another from an absolutely awful decision. Probably worst I’ve seen for a long time - it’s doing the rounds on social media but it changed the game. We then conceded in the last minute chasing the game but it looked offside anyway. Freemantle didn’t start due to a knee injury, Lyden went off injured late on adding to injuries to Cowley, Williams and Downing meaning we have 5 starters out now and we have Howkins and Teixiera suspended for Saturday (Mahon, Curzon manager said it was a joke Howkins got a second yellow at the weekend too). If we get a point at Chorley, it’ll be a miracle. Seems like everything is against us at the moment. At 1-0 we possibly could’ve fuelled more momentum and been in the top 10. Just hope we are somewhere near the play offs when we get our injured players back.

Officiating was an absolute joke last night - that was the disappointing thing. Think we would’ve cruised to 3 points without the awful decisions. I suppose that’s part and parcel of this level.

0-0 with Blyth. Defence looked a lot more solid - Burton MOM on debut, looks a decent signing and encouraged Lawlor to have best game in ages. Little to nothing going forward though. Blyth created little - lot of tippy tappy stuff without ever threatening our goal. Spennymoor on Saturday - test of our new found resilience at the back, especially as they will be keen to put that hammering Tuesday behind them. Glen Taylor bound to scorec, question is can we?

Curzon game segregated and all ticket Saturday use an online system.

Not great and a last minute decision but blame Tamworth for it Chester I’d say.

Wasn’t there but from reports from curzon fans afterwards there was some really nasty pieces of sh*t arrived with them for fa cup game caused a lot of aggro including attacking a man with his kids and think this has led to change for bigger games.

A shame because I quite like mixing together sometimes when you get a good game like midweek vs Scarborough it adds to the experience mixing together.

Plus with the numerous player and manager connections in recent seasons I cannot see any animosity here but ah well.

Yes always enjoyed the freedom to wander around the ground and bump into Chester fans I've not seen for ages. I suppose we'll just have to settle for the 3 points.

Didn't bother going to Boston tbh, looks like many others had the same idea. We had one shot which is an improvement on some other games at least, the chairman tweeting that "we never gave up" reeks of five year old school sports days not semi professional sportsmen. We are fucked.

We are well and truly fucked after another lack-lustre performance! Utter garbage...

Heading towards the Northern Premier League next season unless we can find some magic boots!

Shite.

We gave away a stupid penalty for the third game in a row, and offered little again.

A lot of supporters are getting unpatient and feel the same way and it's beginning to get very toxic! I would love to see Gowling turn things around but I just don't see that happening.

I honestly don't see where the next win is coming from, struggling to create anything with our formation at the moment.

Thanks Bluandwite, that makes two of us.....

Curzon were tough to break down and we were far from our free flowing best but we got there. Glendon with the winner and made up for him. Missed all last season after doing his ACL in pre-season but he's returned with a bang. So often previously the scapegoat and seen as the weaker link in a Gerrard/Lampard can't play together with Weeks combo comparison. But we play four central mids in a diamond now with him pushed on at the point behind the strikers and he's thriving. Whitehouse playing the role he used to have.

Were Tamworth expected to this good?

They've only lost twice all season and are unbeaten away from home, they seem unstoppable right now.

There's one team that comes up and seems to continue the momentum, but gotta admit with Creaney out injured and McKeown leaving for Buxton I thought Tamworth wouldn't have been that side.

6 wins out of 6 in October. Pity it takes us 10 games to find our mojo.

Good job you didn't get an early goal last Saturday then.
Yep, last week was our worst performance of the season which was then followed up by our two best performances of the season. That loss to you guys seems to have awaken us again thankfully

Great win at Chorley. We were way on top first half but missing our goal scorers as previously said. Chorley were a little better second half but not a great deal. We took the lead through pressing and got a second before conceding and typically making it nervy - but Chorley didn’t look like scoring as we managed it brilliantly. Babos is on fire and really getting in the groove, I genuinely think we have the best keeper in the league. Cowley came on with 10 mins left, which was fantastic but understandably looked rusty so hoping he will be up to speed in a couple of weeks. Looks like Lyden is out until January which is a blow but got a history of injury problems so not unexpected at some point. Hoping we can get a good run going to get amongst the top 7

We've hit form in October with 6 wins out of 6 with a win at Hartlepool included. That's after losing 5 of our first 9.

Another disappointing defeat. First half, wasn't a lot in it. We were probably the better side until keeper let in a soft shot. We lost Lawlor to injury, which, with no centre halves on the bench, meant Platt had to go into back 3. Spennymoor controlled the second half, could have had a few more goals but Robson made some decent saves. Scored a very well worked goal to make it a nervy last 5 mins for Spenny, but better team won. Changing a whole system, and incorporating a lot of young players at the same time is a gamble by Gowling, and it hasn't paid off yet. Burton looks an upgrade at back, I think there could be a player in Lindley as he gets up to speed, and hard to comment on the two new wing backs after one game. But we need to do more offensively, as at the moment if we go a goal down it's game over. We've no budget left, so are having to go down loan/lower league recruitment path. The team has been poor for 9 months. Think you have to give Gowling more than 6 games personally, but a section of our more vociferous fans, having got rid of Armstrong, have there sights set on him, and it would appear the Board. Not that any of them would actually put themselves forward should the Board decide they've had enough. There is a misconception that we are somehow a big club, and that removing the Board would see an influx of "investors" (sugar daddies) who will spend millions to restore us to our rightful place in the bottom half of Division 2. Why these people would suddenly materialise now, when they didn't appear when we were flying high on our journey from the Northern League, is a mystery I cannot fathom. Be interesting to see what happens if they get there wish - I don't think the grass will be as green as they think.
