I was also meant to say we actually had over 600 HOME fans today!! I walked up to the ground at 14:40 and only just got in as game kicked off because the didn’t know how to cope with people actually turning up.

Shame curzon cannot get it each week it makes a difference on the feel of ground and atmosphere

Congrats again to Darlo, one of the stories of the season along with Tamworth doing back to back titles.
Commiserations to Stortford, Banbury and Gloucester.
Now to watch the pub team manager bottle it in the play offs.

Now to watch the pub team manager bottle it in the play offs.

10 wins in the last 14 all while Farsley and Blyth were imploding.

At one point they were 16 and 17 points ahead of us.

Under Watson we have won 12 from 21 which is 1.714 PPG or 78.85 Points in a 46 match season.

We've got to be aiming for the play offs next season on the back of the 2nd half of this season. Steve Watson is an unbelievable manager and every one of his signings has improved us. Not only that but the rest of the squad looks how it *should* have looked before he arrived.

Tom Platt for just one example is a monster. First half of the season I thought Boston fans must have been trolling us when they said how good he is, and thought that we'd bought a lemon.

Believe there’s a Boston supporter on here(?)

If so, what’s Jai Rowe like? Could he step up to League One football at all?
Not a Boston fan but I have been to see them a few times this season. Rowe has always looked decent to me, nothing spectacular but certainly one who is better than NLN. League One is a hell of a jump though, I think that'd be tough.

Boston win tonight they are on 72 points and would move up to 7th (final play off place) and to the final normal season games on Saturday

Fingers crossed they do it! Not much on the game for Banbury, so you'd assume a golden chance for United. I'm heading along to it as it's not far from me, looking forward to a good game which I've tended to have with Boston this season, they've been good to watch.

Yep the last big twist tonight then we know what each side needs Saturday and who can finish where.

On paper this has to be a certain boston win but they are the only side currently battling a top 7 place who is out of form, should really be confirmed but on a bad run

Boston win tonight and head into 7th.

Chester and Hereford officially out of it although both sets of fans knew this before tonight but that seals any last hope.

3 teams battle for two places, advantage with Curzon because of the points and game they have, but it would be typical of Curzon to mess that up.

If they don’t it’s 1 from 3 sides, not guaranteed Boston because their form vs anyone decent is poor at moment.

Boston looked very nervy last night, much of the second half was played with a 'do not concede' mantra despite having a lot of the ball. Fair enough as 1-0s are absolutely fine, but with Banbury being as poor a side as I've seen at Step 2 this season (including Stortford!) there was scope to make it a far more comfortable evening than it was.

Still, job 1 done. Hereford away is a tricky one to finish on but it's in their hands.

6 Curzon Ashton - P45, 74 Points, GD +13
7 Boston United - P45, 72 Points, GD +20
----
8 South Shields - P45, 71 Points, GD +23
9 Spennymoor Town - P45, 71 Points, GD +9

Fixtures (For Play off Hopefuls) -

Saturday 20th April
Bishop's Stortford v Curzon Ashton
Hereford FC v Boston United

Taken out Chester and Hereford as of this update, as Chester can only get 71 points and Hereford, even if they win their game over Boston, they have a worse GD then Boston

Hmm let’s see the side with the second best away form in the division (after the champions) is away to the worst side in the division needing only a point for the play offs………

You can see the defeat in the distance!

Came from 2-0 down against Spalding last night to win 3-2 and lift the Lincolnshire Senior Cup, captained by our coach Andy Butler.
Hopefully he takes over as manager in the summer.

I fancy Blyth to drop - Buxton have nothing to play for against Farsley, whereas Brackley will want to confirm a 3rd placed finish against Blyth.

Agree with Don that the play-offs will stay as they are, I think Curzon, Boston, South Shields and Spennymoor will all win their games.

I just can't see Farsley picking anything up, they're so poor atm

Blyth are by far the worst team i've watched this season, I thought Bishop Stortford were more impressive. No idea how they've managed 50 points. I thought Farsley were pretty solid but not spectacular against us

Nothing against Farsley but my personal preference would be for Blyth to stay up. It is still in their own hands - beat Brackley and they stay up even if Farsley win - because of goal difference.

There is the not so small problem of actually beating Brackley, but this is the magic of football and last day drama.

Not sure what kind of team we will put out today.

We technically could lose 2nd but it's very unlikely so we may rest players, but with our game still being a week away not sure it's needed.

I'd rest Cal Roberts, he's so important we can't risk him getting injured as he is very injury prone

It is risky because it may lead to cards but for me if I were Blyth I’d be telling their players to foul a couple of Brackley players early into the game, their eye will be on fitness for play offs it may rock them.

Farsley tactic is really to get that lead early and force Blyth into acting, but I don’t but into this approach neither can win, have seen many a last day with Carlisle and teams can be inspired to drag a result out or be that nervous they collapse.

I suppose for Blyth also an early goal may dent the confidence of farsley who then know tough to turn around

Resting players is very risky, your looking at teams currently 4th down to 9th all I. Good form and with momentum apart from maybe Boston, to possibly rock your own momentum to rest players may hit you a week later

That's a good point but a lot of our backups atm have played a lot this season, you'd like to think they could beat already relegated Gloucester who have nothing to play for. If they can't then that's a bigger issue than a loss of momentum
