Can't believe it took us until the 89th minute to score, should've been 2 or 3 up at half time. Another game where our keeper didn't make a save of note.

Could tell Southport were on the beach and yet we still almost drew

Convincing win for Darlo at Warrington today and all things considered we shouldn't be worrying as much as some other teams around us with our form in the last 12 being 8-0-4. We've certainly learned how to win matches in the last 3rd of this season.

But it's not over until it's over, and now wouldn't be the right time to have another blip. Next 2 up for us is Southport at home who are a bit of a bogey side for us, followed by Farsley at home and they seem to be in terrible form and in free fall.

Win them and we're in the clear. Don't win them and things get complicated!

Today was a routine win, if the performance looked a little tired. Blyth never really troubled us and we went in 2 up at HT. Second half was a bit of a non event as we went through the motions possibly a chance missed to improve the GD, but 2 games in 3 days is tough for part timers so the 3 points are what really mattered. Feeling fairly confident now but certainly looking over the shoulder a Brackley, who must never be written off.

Going to be a very interesting end to the season, I think if Chorley win on Saturday then 2nd is theirs as that's their toughest fixture. Our goal difference over Brackley is basically an extra point so hopefully we can at least get third

While we're really struggling to score, we've suddenly became very good defensively. Only conceded 1 in the last 6 which was down to a keeper mistake and we haven't even faced a shot on target in the last 2. Could be very important for the play-offs

To be fair I can't believe we didn't get a point out of the game. First half you were the better side, but other than one goalmouth scramble there was nothing other than a routine save for our 42 year old goalkeeping coach to make. Second half we were the better side but couldn't hit the target (unsurprising when we only had one substandard striker available), but our substitutions weakened us whereas yours didn't. Much like the game at your place, one lapse in concentration at the back for us got punished.

We have only ever one twice at your place in non-league football, with one of those being an end of season dead rubber. Our record at Blackwell Meadows is pretty dreadful, so I'm not sure how you view us as a bogey side. If the game was at our place then it would be a different story!

Massive conference north game tonight.

Banbury vs Hereford, I’d say personally for Hereford it’s last chance saloon, lose this one and it’s goodnight, even winning the game it’s tough to see them involved hit it keeps them in it.

Same for Banbury they are only still in with a chance due to the two games in hand on others at bottom which could in effect drop their 10 point gap to 4 points but only if they win.

I find it interesting when you look at the recent form table how incredibly tough the play offs will be to decide this season, form table the 5 games goes:

1: Brackley 13
2: Boston 12
3: Spennymoor 12
4: South Shields 12
5: Curzon 12
6: Alfreton 10
7: Scunthorpe 10
8: Chorley 9

So the current, best in-form driven sides in the whole division are also those 8 teams in the positions 2nd to 9th.

It is suggesting really unlike last two seasons someone isn’t going to sneak in out of the blue and none of these sides are massively in form or massively out of form so there isn’t any real obvious candidates as it stands.

It is the business end of the season and usually it’s those with the nerves and character to see games out. I would not write Hereford off yet. They can be very impressive when on form, but dreadful when out of it.
I think Chester might sneak into the top 7.
Not a chance.

I see Gloucester City have yet another club playing on their pitch tonight. Taunton Town of the NLS. Now thats Truro City, Taunton Town of the NLS plus another club was it Corsham and Gloucester all playing their home games there. Got to say well done to Gloucester for helping out. When there are quite a few clubs nearer that could have done.

I've just checked the stats section of our official website. The last time you won at Haig Avenue appears to be 30th October 1970. That might be why you can't remember!

Whether this money is going into the club or to the owners is the question. The communication this entire season has been appalling so no idea.

Was Cinderford btw rather than Corsham.

Absolutely enormous game for Curzon today, they may even class it at present as their biggest ever match since it is so pivotal to possibly giving them their best ever finish……away to Alfreton, both in play offs…..just with 3-4 other sides below waiting for a mistake from either or both…..the current situation at the top really means you cannot even afford just a draw because it’s possible the others win all their games.

Tough one, a side with one of the best home forms vs a side with the second best away form……..reeks of a draw but I think both sides will go all out for this one and risk defeat to win because the situation at present is unusual where ‘stopping them winning’ doesn’t really count, grabbing a well earned away point also doesn’t really count.

Difficult away game for us at Buxton, I know they havent won in 5 but it's a 3G surface and looks likely to be very blustery, a win is very Important for Chorley Buxton have nowt to play for, oh and hoping that Hereford give us a helping hand this afternoon.

Got a 0-0 looks like a little fortunate as they had a good chance but it’s another hard worked point.

Not quite ‘in odour own hands’ because games in hand for Boston and Spennymoor, but Alfreton play Spennymoor next and I’d taken us being in the top 7 heading into the last two games (second bottom at home and bottom away)

If there is hope there for the sides in 8-9th it would be absolute typical Curzon to have battled all the hard work with South Shields and Alfreton then totally f*cl it up with the most hand picked fixtures you could get.

But if we want play offs we HAVE to be beating Gloucester and Bishops and if we fail in either we frankly don’t deserve it.

Ironically it may be our ex manager does us a favour as kings lynn play Spennymoor last game

Congratulations to Chester who appeared to re-sign fat tub of lard Durrell today, who assisted them with the first four goals before our management presumably woke up from their slumber and realised he was still on the pitch and hooked him.

A joke of a season, so fitting they produced that utter steaming turd to confirm relegation.

Huge win for us today with Chorley losing.

We were the better team and deserved the win but 4-1 flattered us after a couple late goals, we’ve lost to teams much worse than Hereford this year.

Darlo were deserved winners today. We shot ourselves in the foot in the first ten minutes by standing off Main, allowing him time to bring the ball down and pick his spot in the bottom corner, then again by Renshaw parrying a corner into his own net. Game over after that, we had a couple of shots from distance but woul have scored if we were still playing now, and Darlo managed the game (and the wind) well. Other results today have not been kind either.

We were frankly abysmal today, Manager made 5 changes for some unknown reason as soon as I saw the team sheet I knew it was a wasted journey. Difficult conditions, very windy but we were never really in the game. Chance of 2nd now blown and it looks like we now have a must win at Kings Lynn on Tuesday to stay in the race for 3rd, oh dear, so optimistic before todays selection. Congrats to Tamworth, worthy Champions.

Why is Durrell at right back? That seems mad from the outside looking in.

They never signed a right back all season. That said he's largely (pun intended) been useless in any other position. Had maybe 2/3 good games out of 30 odd. Another comedy signing from pre season

Never been fit in his life but was decent back in his day. Clearly past it now though.

Anyway, hope you sort yourselves out for next season.

Our defence has been our problem all year. Too slow and too many mistakes in it unfortunately. Ultimately what’s cost us a play off spot. Felt in control at HT, but a quick throw in and a lack of pace let Roberts in. The two quick goals put a pay to the game as we had to win and left gaps as we threw men forward. Two nice finishes for the third and fourth. Away end was brilliant yesterday, great atmosphere, non stop singing all game even when behind.

You’ve been really clinical against us in the both games this season, why couldn’t you have saved that for someone else?! Shame we’ve fallen just short of the play offs but we aren’t quite good enough.

To be honest your keeper had no chance with the corner, I was right in line with it.

It was a freak goal helped by the wind. It looked like it was sailing feet over the bar and just seemed to drop suddenly into the net.

Looks like Darlo are going to pull off the great escape, fantastic job by Watto and his assistant
Cheers.

We had 19 points when Watson took over and were abysmal. Most of us already considered us as down because we couldn't score to save our lives.

It's incredible that we've gone from that to winning 11 and losing 9 of Watson's 20 matches. And with a healthy goal difference too. That's actually play off form over nearly half a season so we go into next season with a lot more heart.

But even Watson's start was tough - first 7 was won 2 and lost 5. Last 13 is won 9 and lost 4. Even more incredible was not just the turn around in form but the nature of some of the victories. Battering South Shields and Scunthorpe 4-0 apiece. Rolling up at Curzon and winning 3-1. Comfortably beating Hereford 2-0 and so on.

Yet we can still go down!
