We're much better away from home. Any idea if Poscha is banned? I know it's a week at this level but he was sent off in the cup.

He’s in the team so playing.

Gone with the more offensive 4-2-3-1 again will see how it plays because Chester fans seemed to think our 4 goals with that change was more then than us gambling on a further attack midfield will see if it reaps reward vs someone else

A good away performance so far frankly stifling the game and led to us creating absolutely nothing so far.

Kiddy better with the counter attack doing a lot more with less players than we are in their half, beautiful cross for the goal.

We just too damn lazy so far, have nothing other than hoof to Spencer and hope he somehow brings ball down, beats four players on own and creates something…..the others tonight mostly standing there until they get a ball then try and run a little before stopping .

Only hope is because kiddy playing counter game they creating little as well and while deserving the lead so far it’s only one goal and they also don’t look dangerous, only takes us to get a break somewhere and game could yet turn but we deserve defeat on performance so far, play like we did first half and we’d play until Saturday and not have a shot, but am hoping it improves

No complaints there, kiddy did very little going forward but we did absolutely nothing and they coasted it defensively and their 2-3 players attacking always offered more than us with 4-5-6 or 7 players in their half.

Game plan seemed to be endless hoofs forward in a wild hope one dropped to a player who could somehow run past 4-5 players to shoot, no teamwork or effort at all and in the usual infuriating way most managers do……Mahon sat there waiting endlessly until the 76th minute to finally conceed it was never working when bloody obvious after 30 minutes.

Would have been an injustice if we grabbed something but we didn’t, maybe tired after the weekend, but we were devastated I’d of anything. Will have to go back to the 4-3-3 it’s only way we can play and just suffer them games it doesn’t work.

Well we did that the hard way. Thought we were deserving of the lead at half time but was frustrating that we just sat deeper and deeper second half. Morgan-Smith was looking exhausted and wouldn't have minded seeing a sub or two a little earlier.

Devine was exceptional for us tonight, the right back couldn't handle him and wasn't getting much help from the right winger.

A month or two ago we'd have lost that. Now unbeaten in 6, feels like we might be turning a corner.

Curzon seemed very wasteful with their chances and were trying to force it too much as the game went on, way too many overhit passes forward and Spencer seemed to be getting frustrated with the lack of service. Saying that, I think we were maybe lucky Curzon didn't get a penalty first half for handball. Albeit we should have had one second half when the defender went through the back of Morgan-Smith.

Sorry late reply been busy.

Thought you set up very well, extremely solid seemed at times a 4 at back but switched to flat back 5-2-3 and it worked well, we didn’t have a clue how to break through it and spreading out to the wings gave you lots of space.

We just seemed weird, I’m starting to think we were just very leggy after the weekend, we have never been great going forward but usually its because we keep ball so long, mess about pass everywhere and have 5 people trying to create one ball into one lone player in box marked by four players.

This game it was like 4-2-4 mass lumps up field, will hopes Spencer holds ball up or lands to the wide men, if we did get ball wasn’t runner or support and whole game seemed to rely on someone beating 2-3-4 players to create something.

Only once I felt we did well, in first half when Spencer got ball down we had one runner on left side of pitch running through on goal unmarked and instead of sending him through one on one he shot from 25 yards……said it all, no energy no movement no teamwork, very unusual for Curzon.

But your manager got tactics and approach spot on and too chances when they came 2-3 players were causing much more damage than out 5-6 forward were.

Eternal issue for Curzon what on earth do we do for home games!

Our fans post game meltdowns are more entertaining than the actual games.

We threw a stinker of a performance in against Peterborough Sports today. We were too often slow on the ball, spent a lot of time just lumping the ball up the pitch, and our crossing was woeful. We conceded a soft goal from yet another set-piece, and had some lucky escapes or were saved by last-ditch defending. We looked a bit better once Sports went down to 10 men, but conceded another from a counter-attack. We pulled one back late on with a deflected shot which looped over the keeper, but that was more than we deserved. Sports defended well, pressed with pace, accepted the absolute gifts of goals we gave them, and we're fully deserved winners.

Good thing we sacked Dean right?

Much better football this year
Yes, he would have bankrupted us had he another year.

I give Spalding maybe three years before they fold, unfortunate for a great little club with good people.

Bottega Don no comment on the match today?

Looks like your beloved manager’s mercenaries downed tools yet again. But we’ll find a way to cover that up won’t we?

We were terrible and I am bored of saying the same stuff every week. Butler needs to change his formation before it costs him his job, his stubbornness is killing us.

The players aren't downing tools our tactics are just terrible. Buxton could not handle when we pressed them so why didn't Butler change our tactics to press more? He cannot adapt at all.

I’ve come to the conclusion that nobody wants to win the league this season.
I wouldn't be shocked if it turns out to be Buxton.

They're on fire and did a real job on us yesterday, their manager seems to know what he's doing.

Only issue is a few of their better players are on loan and they could be recalled.

We took our customary defeat away at Brackley.

Thought it was a bit of a nothing game. If it had finished 0-0 I think both sets of fans probably would have shrugged and said about right. Both sides had spells of pressure but very few clear cut chances in the full game. Their first started with a foul on Maskell that wasn't called. I don't think ours was a penalty. Maskell took too long to get the shot off, their player stepped across him and he kicked their man rather than the other way around. Winning goal. Looked like we'd initially defended the free kick okay but their lad turned and fired from 18/20 yards on the volley right in the bottom corner. Great finish but I can't imagine the XG was high on that effort and 19/20 time it doesn't come off.

Agree with others. The league just seems wide open this year. Some good sides, but no one fully outstanding and no one currently looking like spending their way to being outstanding.

Peterborough Sports seem to be picking up a little bit of form before we play them on Tuesday. But our home form this season has been good and if we can get a win that will be 10 points from the last 15 available and we can keep our upward trajectory going.

Huge game for Curzon tonight away at Marine.

A lot of pressure on the game now after slipping up twice, although we did our usual best at Spennymoor restricted them to nothing but couldn’t quite score.

Worry tonight is this game right here is our usual Achilles heel…….away to a bottom side in that usual November/January slump period we usually have……type of game last few seasons we get thumped in.

Spencer also went off injured Saturday and could be out a while and that is a problem as he is probably the best hold up target man in the league, but…….maybe it means a change of approach which may help

Well did what we needed to, 3 key players out last night, yet did what we normally do away from home frankly give the home side next to nothing, score on the break and comfortably hold on.

In a way it should have been an easy bet having the worst attack face the best defence, but many times in past that leads to a weird result.

Kiddy won also and their run has turned them from mid table nothing to title chaser, Blackley also sneaking into that play off spot having looked poor all season but suddenly finding form……..very very open league

Have to say I think Kidderminster are the ones to watch, very impressive form of late, it's a very close league but think Kiddie will pull away from the pack over the course of the next few weeks.

We've definitely turned a corner after a lot of injuries and the team changing constantly. We're still missing our first choice CB's from the start of the season but I don't see how they get back in 6 clean sheets in 7.

Whats crazy is bar last night we really looked like we struggled to score. It was all 1-0 wins or draws. Maybe it's finally clicked up top as we've gone to a 343 system in the last few games.

Also South Shields were dreadful. Counted 2 shots if you can call them both that. 1 from 30 yards late on that was closer to the top of the stand than the goal and the other a very soft header which Dibble easily collected. It was barely a shot.

One of the worst performances I've seen at Aggborough. Very long journey on a Tuesday for those 30 fans that came

Poor performance against Peterborough. Started brightly enough, and had 3 or 4 good chances in first 15 mins, but then Leesley robbed trying to dribble out as last man, 1-0 down and game flipped. Sports looked good going forward, Gyasi and Felix (typically) running our very slow backline ragged. Jameson made a string of decent saves, not for the first time, and we hung on until halftime. Leesley hooked at halftime, but we didn't really look any more solid. A brilliant team goal, finished superbly by Scott Barrow, got us level, and we expected to kick on. Unfortunately, we immediately went to sleep again, and gave another goal away through the centre of our defence failing to deal with a through ball and being done again for pace. Sports then indulged in the dark arts, numerous players going down with "cramp", despite our intensity being zero for most the game, sly little fouls to break up any play we might be developing, their bench squealing for everything. Thankfully, the ref added 8 minutes on, and we grabbed an equaliser from a set piece. Had they just kept playing their game, they'd have won that comfortably. Don't know why teams think they have to get clever.

Much depleted squad today still proved far too god for Marine to progress into the next round of the Trophy by 3-1. Quite concerned about the number of injuries but have to say the lads who stepped up did very well.
Just a silly County Cup game Tuesday when surely the kids will play before a series of tough league games.

A very comfortable 3-0 win against Warrington Town today for us, and it should have been far more. We controlled possession, carved them open repeatedly, and rarely looked in danger when they did have the ball.

Danny Lloyd has signed a one-year extension to his contract today too. Great news, although today was arguably our best performance of the season and he didn't even play.

Alfreton won 2-1 at Oxford last night, they and Blackley are slowly sneaking towards that top spot week by week

Ridiculously open league this year
