Well done Tranmere, pleased for you.

Let us hope Tranmerewhite will never darken our doors again. Him and ChrisFGR will hit it off famously.
I’m sure I can make guest appearances while on the way to league one.

That keeper is dogshite, didn't Virgo say he was the best in the league? It was an easy save but he clearly got Wembley fever and wanted to flick it away dramatically for the cameras.

On a more negative note one of the sides they're replacing has set a record for the fewest consecutive seasons spent in the Football League - guess which one?
In fairness, it's only breaking the record by 1 game

Tranmere the better side on the day imo. They deserve it. Good on em.

Well done Nors and Manny. :brill:

Plus, putting aside all the proper/tinpot stuff they are on the whole a decent club with decent fans, unlike B-Wood who on the whole are an utter abortion.

Hmm I don't know. I was expecting another Wood goal just before Tranny's second. However I kept forgetting they were playing against 10 men:crazy:, and that's the main reason I felt BW were the better side.

Now that I think more of it, I'll admit I was wrong as Tranny had one hell of a game considering they couldn't really afford to do anything more except to keep BW quiet and hit them on the counter, something they executed perfectly I have to add.

Crowd was only 16,306 BW must've had only 3k of that if they were lucky!

I think you're right Terminator, I reckon they only had something like 2700-3000.

Btw, does anybody know how many FGR took when they beat Tranmere last year? I know they took around 4000 a couple of years back when Grimsby beat'em , but I can't recall last year's numbers.

Wow. Head is banging, throat is hoarse, emotions are wrecked. We don't half do things the hard way, but boy did that feel good... my first taste of success in 24 years watching the Rovers. Thanks for all the kind messages, I've genuinely enjoyed our stay in the National League... some of the clubs down here have some fantastic sets of fans. Time for a drink... after the 4hr journey home that is!

Sorry, I meant clubs that have been automatically promoted/relegated and have remained in business.

Nice if Maidstone finally make it back up though, they've had quite a climb up the pyramid - more promotions than Aldershot and Newport had to do, I believe? Good to see them establish themselves in their own ground in Maidstone with bigger crowds than even some L2/L1 sides.

Thanks, but the ground is nowhere near ready...yet.

In all seriousness, anything other than a Tranmere promotion would have been a travesty.

Thoroughly enjoyed that!! Congrats Tranmere.
My little lad was hopping up and down and he’s not even a Tranmere fan.
Unfortunately have to play Boreham Wood again next year but the alternative would have been a travesty!
All the best next season.

Congratulations Tranmere, pleased as punch to have you back in the league. They were excellent today, defended superbly and scored two good goals. Bet it was brilliant in the Tranmere end when the second goal went in in front of them.

Went to the game first conf game I've watched this season. Tranmere deseverd the win and their fans were brilliant.

However the level of performance was poor, if that is the best then Barnet have nothing to worry about.
Congratulations Tranmere you deserved it.

Teams rarely 'turn up' in Conference play off finals. I wouldn't base your judgement on today's game on a big pitch.

Low attendance. What was the break down? Presumably the lions share were Tranmere fans?

Salford is our most local game now I think. So it's onto a new battle against the latest rise of the tinpotters, it just never fucking ends. A new dawn will arrive one day.

Brother Tranmere have been awarded emeritus status for the part they played in the 17-18 war. It's important that the 4 remaining Brotherhood members fight as one in the forthcoming war against this latest evil.

...And the burning question is, should you use the ring as a weapon, sink it in the depths of the sea, or destroy it?

Emotionally drained after that. When Rides gets sent off after 47 fookin seconds, you can't help but think "Yep, we're Tranmere-ing this again". Throw in 3 first-half subs, the almost 10 minutes stoppage time and an equaliser just before the break, there was no way I was thinking we'd win that. I thought we'd blown it and Mellon could be on his way for being so reckless with the subs.

But we did it. Somehow, some way, we got promoted for the first time in 27 years! Unbelievable and Mellon's gamble well and truly paid off. Fair play to him, it took real bottle to make that decision and he was proven right.

Will genuinely miss this forum, it's been a God-send. Will definitely keep an eye out and will ALWAYS advocate for 3 up, 3 down. Now, Wrexham, get your fookin act together and come up next season, because the derbies have been a welcome return to competitive hostilities.

Right, War and Peace over, back to celebrating! SWA!!!

Just drove home to the wirral and i guarentee you the 240 miles did not seem as long as that 3 minutes injury time .

Its been a pleasure to have your company for the last 3 years ive never met a more gracious educated bunch in my life ..... apart from fgr chris (sorry mate) ! Hope everyones club gets what they deserve next year..... my wishlist:

Shots and wrexham come up , salford go down, guiseley and woking win their leagues and borehamwood go bankrupt.... never met a more ungracious bunch in my life.
