It was because games couldn’t exactly clash with the Champions League & Europa League games!
I can see the concern. They'd have been worried Boring Wood vs Fylde would be on at the same time as Liverpool vs Roma. Obvious who the genuine fans of football would want to watch..

Danny Rowe, 3rd best striker in the league best player in the league over Mohammed Salah, best player in the world one trick pony.

About a week ago was fairly confident we'd go on to win the playoffs but now they're here I'm bricking it.

One thing to work in our favour is the timings of the games midweek. Aldershot and Ebbsfleet play Wednesday eve. Both sides will probably have two short training sessions before their match at Tranmere considering the kick off time on the Saturday and the distance both sides have to travel. I'm less confident about the game on Saturday than a potential Wembley fixture and that's after having already beaten Ebbsfleet at home 3-0 this season and playing Aldershot the other week and seeing they weren't anywhere near the threat they posed last year. Football....

I can’t see us getting through Wednesday to be honest, Ebbsfleet should be licking their lips, we’ve only made play offs because we had a brilliant first half of the season. Think we’ve only won about 4 games since the middle of Feb.
But if we do get through Wednesday, then I think you’ll wipe the floor with us on Saturday. Like you say, we’re a shadow of last season’s side.

I think we will struggle to be honest. We looked poor on Saturday, the efforts in the last few weeks have been phenomenal. Our last four away games totalled 2,000+ miles.

It'll be close, but I think you'll edge it. 1-0 or 2-1.

Listen lads, you can just give us a default to the final, better for the natural order.

Anyone but Boreham Wood!!
Would imagine they’d only muster up 1,500 if they made it to Wembley.
Then again, would be nice getting rid of them, just a shame the only chance is in the wrong direction.

Would any of the teams in that half actually take more than a couple thousand though? Maybe Sutton around 5-6k?

Agreed - I think us v you would have attracted the biggest crowd, as we’ve never played at Wembley before.
I can’t see us taking as many as last year either, perhaps that’ll make the league more generous in allowing us to go up. (Probably 12-13k rather than 15k)

That said our season ticket sales are approaching their highest levels since we were challenging league one playoffs consistently (approx 2900 so far) and we aren’t even into May yet.

I don't know how many we'd take to Wembley if we were to win on Sunday. With less than a weeks notice and probably high cost of tickets it's difficult to say.

We didn’t get any “day trippers” to Wembley, they were all people on the clubs database as having bought tickets to league matches. That might be different for London based clubs, but it’s still a very expensive game if you aren’t interested much in the team playing.

I assume that’s to beat Aldershot. That’s a horrific price for anything else.

If that’s to beat us I’m all over that. Nice little consolation when we exit the playoffs in a 70% possession, sideways tippy-tally 0-1 stylee..

Sorry yes that’s to beat Aldershot. BFA 16/5 away at Kidderminster also to big imo. Took 4 points off Kidderminster and only 9 behind in the league.

It wouldn't suprise me if it went to penalties given both teams like a draw - hopw we've been practicing!

Have been told (not full details) that Connor Jennings potentially has something very severe but not meningitis, no clues as to what, but not going to pry as they don’t want it public (yet?)..

Extra drive for the players and I hope he’s in condition to join any celebrations if they happen. Terrific hard working player that is somewhat an unsung hero in our team and makes it tick.

Very easy for a non league player to get a contract with us and play at 80%, but he gives his all every game. Got shown stats from Aldershot league game last year where he ran 14km + in the game which is beyond that of even most Champions League players.

Sad to hear, poor lad, hope whatever it is he makes a full recovery.
14km + is incredible.

Best wishes to Connor and hope the lads can get that promotion for him and have him playing in the Football League next season.

Don’t count on us being here which would mean a reprieve for Woking. We are currently not even selling season tickets.

I’d guess it’s different for us; 28,000ish and 25,000ish on our last two visits to Wembley.

Best wishes to Connor Jennings.

Probably because your day trippers only have to jump on the underground, whereas for Tranmere day trippers its 10 hours on a coach.

Well, it’s either that or we’re MASSIVE just waiting to happen.

Of the numbers you’ve taken on previous visits, how many did you manage to convert into regulars? Did your home attendances increase?

No idea. Very few, if any. Our attendances remained steady after Old Wembley and jumped by 500 or so after New Wembley but I suspect that had more to do with Becchetti and people coming to see the circus. Our average attendances have been solidly between the 4-5k mark for the past 30 years.
